My reaction to the intense televoting sequence of Eurovision 2019

What an evening! I am heartbroken for Sweden, Greece & UK but totally chuffed by North Macedonia scoring so well! Congratulations The Netherlands winning for the first time in 44 years! Tbh I think televoting should be scrapped unless apps replace SMS, I wouldn't mind professional juries having complete power. my mother, nephew, sister and her girlfriend are also featured here.

You know what's funny? (Someone pointed that out.) The last nerve racking minutes weren't necessary. Because of all the points that televoters could give (each country giving 58 points in total), for Sweden only 93 votes were left. But who's counting along the way?
People from Norway : Let's go with the public vote and scrap jury votes. People from North Macedonia : Let's go with the jury votes and scrap public voting! People from the Netherlands : It's perfect as it is.

Except it's not just Norwegians wanting to get rid of the juries. I'm from Cyprus and I supported Italy this year but Norway was the rightful winner. Millions of people voted them with their money only to have the so called 'experts' steal it from them. And in 2016 even though I hated Russia's song they still should have won. Juries suck plain and simple. Only country that benefits every year from them is the same that brought them back

Yes. I respect the choice of the majority even if I don't like the song. Case in point my country last year. I was disappointed that we lost to Israel but Netta won the televote so the win was deserved. And you make a big deal about diaspora and political voting when it's even worse with the juries

when neighbors country`s stopt giving eatch other the point because they are neighbors dan we scrapt the public votes :P

With only televote you would see the same countries giving 12 points to the same countries every year. Spain to Portugal, Belarus to Russia, Every balkan country to Serbia, Serbia to Hungary, Scandinavian country to Scandinavian country and so on. It was so clear that televote is cancer when Russia won in 2008 with a bad song only because it was Russia. Don´t be stupid, please.
