Fell in love with this band in 2016 when I heard Phantom Antichrist for the first time. Listened to their back catalog and really enjoyed their old stuff from the 80s. Then when Gods of Violence came out I was super excited. Saw them in Chicago during the 2017 Decibel Magazine Tour at my first metal concert. This band is one of my all-time favorites. I've never been more excited for an album before.

Kreator has evolved, but also has maintained their classic sound since my first Kreator show in 89'. This new one definitely has some catchy riffs, and the solo definitely has that classic Kreator burn. I look forward to the release. Thanks for the review, Jason!

Surprising and nice change of direction for Kreator 🤘. The cover of the new album is the real deal too. Seriously good cover art, and a new instant classic art for me. It let's you know the album means business from the start. Way better than Destruction's new wacky cover art.

The song is *very* Kreator and I'm dying to hear the rest of the album. I love the scream at the start! Though I generally like it better the start is mellow and then you have a scream like that coming out of the blue and it makes you jump out of your seat the first time you hear it. I love that in Lion with Eagle Wings, Replicas of Life or Voices of the Dead. The fast part reminds me of the fast part in Gods of Violence. And the video came out cool. And yet, I can't help but miss the excitement of being a new(er) and more clueless fan. I discovered their music in early May 2012 with the Phantom Antichrist video because I was subscribed to Nuclear Blast. I miss having that wide-eyed, intrigued reaction. Then when the Gods of Violence video came out in November 2016, it was a surprise to me, I didn't know a video was coming. My excitement after watching it was explosive. I absolutely loved that song and video. There were quite a few moments throughout these past ten years that made my obsession with them grow bigger and bigger and experiencing that video for the very first time was one of the more important ones. Now... I knew about the video for two weeks since it was filmed. I obviously only saw and heard it all today, but having seen photos and clips of what went on there on the set two weeks ago... I understand people who say they avoid spoilers before watching a movie. I miss being innocent and clueless, I miss their videos having the same newness that they had 5+ years ago.

Hello again Ana! Love this comment. And I know what you mean - social media now gives us the chance to know way more about what the bands we love are up to. It feels simultaneously great and detrimental to any sense of mystery! Ha. Glad you like Hate Uber Alles! Out of interest, when you got into Kreator via Phantom Antichrist, did you then go back and listen to any of their albums from the 80s?

@@PossessedByMetal666 Exactly! I'm a very curious creature by nature and getting into Kreator this past decade has re-awakened that desire to look for and absorb info about the music that I like that I used to have at the very beginning. In a way it's cool and useful to have access to so much info. And to be fair, I loved watching earlier making ofs. But back then, it wasn't before getting to hear the songs and see the videos. Now it feels like I got too close, got to know too much, too soon. And that makes me miss the barrier, the distance, the mystery, the magic... And yes, I did eventually get to go through everything. First the new thrash era, then the old thrash era and then finally the experimental era, which so many love to hate and I guess that's why I ended up leaving it last. First it was getting to the Terror Zone video, then it was checking out live stuff and discovering what they were playing live from that era - Extreme Aggressions (still my absolute favorite from that era - that scream early in the song, that "so-ci-e-ty, what have you done to me?", sooo satisfying!), When the Sun Burns Red, Pleasure to Kill, People of the Lie, all that stuff, then getting the first nine albums. For the record, I don't hate the experimental era, though the order of discovery is also the order of preference when it comes to the three eras. I've still played the shit out of the whole Renewal album.

@@PossessedByMetal666 There's a re-release coming out in late May! I believe a week before the Hate Über Alles album? It would be a good time to finally check it out. I don't think Endorama is a bad album. Probably a lot of the bad reactions to it come from the fact that it came out as a Kreator album. It's very far from what first springs to anyone's mind when thinking about Kreator and, unlike with other albums they've put out, I haven't been able to get into all songs on it. And if I had to make a personal requests setlist, I kind of doubt there would be much if anything from it that would make it because there are so many other songs of theirs that I love more and never got to hear live. That said, there's a handful of songs from it that I can enjoy just about any day at home. And when I saw Kreator in Innsbruck last summer, there were some fans from Italy who were bombarding Ventor with Endorama requests after the show. Of course I had to be a smartass and jump in... "know how you can please everyone? just play till morning, make a 50 song setlist..." 🤣 Ventor's reaction was priceless... "50?! I'm 55! I'm going to die!" Well, truth be told, so am I! 🤣 I still felt super energetic after 90 minutes and like I still had it in me for a longer show... but definitely not for one that lasts till morning! 🤣 The thing is... as much as some people love to hate Endorama, there are still people who loved it then and still love it now. A long time ago, I heard someone say that no music with an audience is bad. I didn't really get it at the time, but I get it now. If a song does something for someone, then it has served its purpose, regardless of how I personally feel about it.

Just became my most anticipated of 2022 lol. The chorus is catchy as hell and the rest of the song was blazing. Approaches pleasure to kill or terrible certainty speed.
