He’s got a good stage presence. It’s more than just going up there and playing, he smiles and makes faces and dances a little and looks like he genuinely enjoys what he’s doing, and that makes me enjoy it more as well. It’s frickin awesome

i used to play percussion and thw heights hes rising the paddles up to is about 12 inch strokes and at the speed hes playing i can confirm its a real workout and for me after 3 years of percussion i dont think id last 5 minutes like that without my arms cramping

Its not that complex. All about making sure each tube is the right length, but other than that working with PVC pipe is easy. And who says he did it "himself"? He may have had help, videos from people who knew how to make them, etc.

I agree with this sentiment. light steel drum with plucked strings. I find it amazing that he has to hit each one of these tubes 'flat-on' the home made flat mallets, and does it with perfect ease!
