I hope Jay debuts. Yes he can go solo but I think he wants to be in a group!

Hoping for that Jay debut no matter what. If you are a jay stan make sure to support him more especially in star points

i think jay so far has a solid fanbase and even proved he has support based on the last episode where he was the only one in top9 who didn't receive the benefit. He's incredibly talented and my one pick! He is very versatile w/ the music genres he sings (e.g. rock, r&b, pop, etc.) so i hope others can see that too and votes for him!!

I hope you're wrong with Jay because he is my favorite pick from day 1. But I also kinda feel like you're right, popular but not enough to debut. But I don't think he'll have a solo path, I think he would debut with another company/label. If he doesn't debut with BP999 then I hope he will in another group, I really want to hear his voice in a good kpop group. It's so uncommon to have an amazing soulful voice like his in a kpop group, and not giving him an opportunity to debut would be stupid. I will still vote for him until the end !

@@v_Enso Having him as a solo artist, I wouldn't mind. But he wouldn't be popular. He already has some solo stuff and nobody knew him before. So I'd rather see Jay in a group with other popular and talented members to ensure the overall group popularity if he stays in the industry longer rather than going solo, have a few comebacks and in two or three years, disappear because he doen't bring a lot of money to his company ...

The only thing that's different and surely why she was chosen, and maybe Jay won't, is because her brother is Kai from TXT. But Jay has no famous sibling to back him up. Just the hate and love from the fans and anti fans.

I definitely disagree with the Jay one, he definitely suits being in a group and being a soloist and he has a very large global fanbase and has been gaining lots of korean fans recently. Plus he was the only contestant in the top 9 of episode 5 to not have a benefit so that alone shows how many fans he has. Plus he gets alot of screen time so he's pretty liked by mnet and the judges (especially onestar lmao). Jay is extremely needed for the debut lineup so we should definitely make him debut because he worked super hard and deserves it.

If keita will not debut in top 9 they are stupid, he is the 1st trainee who is all rounder tell me who are the rest who deserves in top 9? So please teume, korean fans please open your eyes keita is very deserving

i think the possibility of jay debuting is 50% but i really hope he debuts tho. i don’t see him doing that well as a soloist in kpop unless he goes to hollywood or something. if he debuts, his voice, vocal tone will add something fresh and unique to the group (VOTE FOR JAY AND KEITA PLS)

i really really hope jay will make it! he would do amazing as the main vocalist and be great for variety shows and it's also good to have a native english speaker in the group. there's no reason not to vote for him, and he will be my one pick! i just wish people would stop hating him for no reason and see his potential. he also seems like a super nice person, for example, when he didn't even hesitate and gave his killing part to wumuti when he felt pressured. not a lot of people would do that and i just loved that moment 🥰

The group needs Hui and Jay's vocals! Considering that this time around people are focusing more on the vocalists since the last group had too many dancer/rappers, I think it's definitely possible for Jay to debut if fans priortize him. And if he can impress enough Koreans to vote for him. I heard that for the next round he sings Home by Seventeen and that the live audience said he was amazing live.

On Gyuvin I agree having 3 yuehua trainees gives yuehua too much power over the debut group

Yuehua might as well just debuted their 8 trainees. Most of them are fairly popular anyways. Some of them needs a little more training so in a year or two(atleast some time since Yuehua just debuted tempest) they should be good to debut.

Jay has already brought out solo music and wasn't succesful. He's probably gonna give up on kpop if he doesn't make it in Boys Planet. On the other hand if he DOES debut he'll be able to have a decent run at a solo career afterwards. Also strong disagree on him not suiting being in a group. LMR-G was a very cohesive stage and they definitely felt like a team, Jay just stood out more bc Mnet put in a lot of close-ups of him (to play into the Hui/Jay vocal battle narrative). Wang Zihao and Hiroto first have to survive the second round. Even then I don't think we'll ever get someone that's on Bahiyyih's level of 1pick fansupport again (Zihao could snatch one of the 7-9 spots tho)

I think jay will debut. If not it’s very biased cause he has so much potential and talent.

That’s y global fans need to make SURE their 1 pick is a trainee from the GLOBAL group (deserving of it). Jay's debut will depend on many factors: 1) If Keita debuts, Jay most likely won't 2) If Taerae debuts, Jay most likely won't 3) If Gunwook debuts, Jay most likely won't 4) If Keita and Gunwook, or Keita and Taerae debuts, Jay most likely won't 5) If both Gunwook and Taerae debuts, Jay most likely won't and neither will Keita, Hui, or Gyuvin. I am basing this on the 6K:3G group ratio that will most likely happen for the final lineup. If we go by 7K:2G then there is no way that Jay will debut cause he'll have to surpass Zhang Hao and Seok Matthew. Jay's best chance to debut is if the final ratio is 5K:4G like in the first elimination. And even that we'd still have to throw Ricky into the mix, which could pull a fast one and secure a top 9 spot. Don't count him out, he is the dark horse of Boys Planet. I am a huge Jay fan (he is my one pick and the only reason why I am watching Boys Planet in the first place) but he has to go through a lot of hoops in order to debut. At this moment, it is most likely that he won't debut than he will.

I'm voting for him anyway. Also I can see why having 4 G group trainees doesn't seem practical but I think we can do it...if global fans priortize G group. While there are a lot of good K group contestants, we all know Koreans will vote for them so we need to vote more G group. Although I'm curious why you say if Gunwook debuts then Jay won't. Gunwook is a rapper and in K group. Also I thought that there was no way Young Eun would debut in Kep1er if Bahiyyih or Yeseo debuted and yet we have all three.

The likelyhood of both trainees debuting is like 10% (if Gunwook doesn't take up a G group spot and instead takes a K group spot (Hui or Gyuvin) or if Gunwook takes Keita's spot which is unlikely but could happen) Also the reason why Youngeun, Bahiyyih and Yeseo all debuted is because they were all in K group which increased their chances.

I agree with your posting about Factor #5.....I highly doubt if Jay's going to make it to the final if TaeRae does. I would like to see others who are more talented, and can provide more to the new group than a "Cute" or "Pretty Boy". Granted, that Hui is older, he can bring leadership for the younger trainees, Keita is an awesome singer and dancer, and finally, Gunwook is good but Gyu Vin will surpass him vocally. Remember......Looks are okay, but does anyone remember a guy's face a few years as years pass? No. You buy the songs because the group is memorable for the songs they sing and how long they have been releasing great music.

I really hope Jay debuts

My prediction is MNET will give us a big surprise and add more seats for the final line-up.

Did you guys watch girls planet 999 ??? Bahiyyih never entered top 9 during the event and in the final episode she debuted at top 2. And kim Chaehyun, she was only in top 9 throughout the program, and once outside top 9 and during the final episode she was P01. And all of that because 1 pick. So, we don't know what will happen to Jay and to other trainees, there is no guarantee for their position, everything can change when 1 pick voting is started. Let's wait and see, everyoneeees

One thing that kpop missing right now, is that they are not giving the same vibes like the old one’s (TVXQ, EXO, SISTAR, GG, etc) BP will from a debut 5th gen group. So Strong Leader, strong Vocalist, Strong Dancer is really needed. Visuals are not enough to make the group standout. They badly needed Strong and refreshing song that is very unique. Thats just my opinion 🙌🤷‍♀️

I totally get what you're saying but I think the reason they do it is because a lot of the fanbase for the group that is formed will be in Korea so they're trying to appeal to them more. That being said I-Land didn't use the 50-50 system and Enhypen are doing just fine.

"Rumor" didn't actually win. People just always thing that because it is by far the most popular song from the concept evaluation round of Produce 48. But "Rollin' Rollin' " won and not "Rumor". Which is actually similar to "U+Me" winning over "Snake".

I'll talk about him a little in my upcoming video on which 18 trainees will make it to the final but the main reason I didn't say anything here is because I feel like everyone is already pretty sure he'll make it and I have nothing to add

Its equal parts sad and interesting to consider which trainees are likely to debut based on things like K to G ratio, company distribution, age, etc. Its like a fun logic puzzle to "figure out" a likely final group composition, though its disappointing when, for example, all of your faves are G group trainees but you know only 2-4 will be in the final lineup just cuz thats how these shows go 😔 My one greatest hope is that Haruto makes it in, lol. Great video, very thought provoking!!

as a kpop fan for many years, I just need 3 foreign members in one group. Mnet say they want to create a global group, I think it doesn't mean there are many more foreign members, it means impact, a group with global impact. Because after all, this is a Korean boygroup, not Hollywood boygroup, they all sing in Korean, lives in Korea, I need a boy group receiving Korean public support after a long time like Wanna one. Now, many boygroup songs are so low in Korean music chart

Im really supporting ichan since iland, well he had another name there, he is multitalented but he really lost his confidence, mnet doesnt really show him on camera and he doesnt get a lot of attention,like they do with other trainees to. We are more focused on the popular trainees bcs they get more screentime, i agree that they are talented but mnet knows what is doing with its favorites.

Actually, the most a company has submitted in produce series is 8 from season 1 I think. If not then it's 7 cause of the pledis girls

I just wanna say that the popularity of the Yeuhua and Wakeone trainees is probably gonna die down now that we are approaching the midpoint of the series. During the beginning of pd48 all of the Yeuhua trainees and Stone trainees were all fairly popular(by episode 1 all seven trainees were in the top 20). But only 2 made it to the finale and debut group, one of them allegedly being rigged in. Yujin, Zhanghao, Gyuvin, Ricky, and Taerae have stable rankings through the weeks, while PHanbin and Sungeon is steadily rising in the ranks, but anything could happen with this trainees. But I do agree that we get 2 Yeuhua trainees and 1 wakeone trainee at max.

I feel like you're 100% right with Jay, especially with the amount of controversy he's been getting, i don't think mnet is willing to give him any more screentime than they already have. He'll probably teeter off in votes in the coming eps. Considering what he's expressed in the past as well, I'm not sure if he'd be willing to stick around in the kpop industry either after boys planet.

I mean they could also wait for I-land or smth but why would they do that if not everyone is going to make it no matters their hard works. I think it's unfair upon the trainees. I think even though he came like 2nd in Global votes he came 17th or so in Korean votes, so it averages out to lower than 9th place.

My prediction 1,Sung hanbin he sure debute 2. Seok metthew 3.Keita cause he from g group 4.lee hoe taek it will be benefit to have him as he have population from previous group 5.han yu jin sure debute 6. Zhang hao G group most popular 7.kim ji woong sure debute 8.kim gyu bin he is popular 9.kim taree popular in korea Gun wook and keita is the same all round but this two is over lap character.

I think his popularity has definitely shot up. I think he'll at least make it to the next round, not sure if he has enough support yet to make it further than that though

@Miss Fimbleton And I find it suspicious how Jongwoo dropped from 3 stars to 1 star for the signal song, but Mnet didn't show his evaluation clip. I doubt Jongwoo did that terrible, I mean, 1 star is very low and especially for him. Maybe Mnet already had his storyline planned out and is turning him into the dark horse by showing how fast he "improved". I quote that cause I think he was already good from the beginning

Firstly, @2:45 in produce series there companies that sent more than 4 trainees tho.. pledis girls in season 1 has 7 i think, and the pd48, tho they are not trainees anymore girls from akb alone sent more than 10 girls 💁 Secondly @ 7:30 you said sexy concept rumor won? As i remembered, the cute concept (forgot the title) with Jang Wonyoung won that time.

You're totally right. I'm actually mostly a boy group stan so I haven't watched a lot of the 1st and 3rd seasons of Produce 101 😅. Other people mentioned similar things in the comments, it's my bad 🙇‍♀️

Keita is of course popular and an AMAZING rapper. I was just trying to make the point that there are more vocalists than rappers on the show so it's likely the final group will need more rappers.

I have to say that Mnet should not have been allowed to "push" 10 trainees into contention for this show. It's not fair, and ethically to be a partner with WAKEONE entertainment, when there are other talent agents/companies that do NOT have a monetary partnership with the Mnet. I hope other "Star Creators" learn about Mnet and WAKEONE....and promptly NOT support WAKEONE's trainees, regardless of if they are the TOP 9.

I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to not support trainees just because they’re from WAKEONE. These are real people with dreams. Plus, besides Haruto the majority of WAKEONE haven’t gotten like any screen time… Anthonny has been totally invisible, Woongki only got screentime during the dance battle with Keita, Taerae has gotten like no screen time, Park Hanbin only got screentime in episode 4 for leading his team well… There are loads of other trainees that have gotten special attention from Mnet for being PD picks. Should we stop supporting them too? Support the boys based on whether or not you like them, not what agency they come from.

i wont stan the group if jay isnt in the debut line, the group will be kinda boring

If hui and jay are in the final lineup i’m gunna have to solo stan shanbin… 😭 i don’t want to but
