Since both Regionals and Nationals took up two seasons, the cliffhanger would make sense. I hope the cliffhanger is not just Grace again though

So when I first saw the trailer for S9B, I was under the impression that Internationals was going to happen in the studio (through live streams). But after seeing episode 17, I’m now convinced that Internationals will actually happen for Season 10 instead. I could be wrong though as we saw SNR trophy and commentary in the trailer. But we also know that Season 9 is shorter too. We only have a few episodes left now. So if I’m right about this, my guess is that remainder of S9 will be about TNS trying to get the advantage points against France. So your cliffhanger theory could still be mostly accurate and you’re also right about the fact that we haven’t seen any other Internationals teams other than France. I think the S9 cliffhanger will be about whether TNS or Team France win the advantage point for their studio (and maybe also more meddling from Grace and her secret accomplice). Then if TNS gets renewed for a 10th season, this could potentially give them perhaps a full season for Internationals (if the budget will allow that). This season could basically be like what Season 5 was to Season 6 in building up the road to Regionals. And now Season 9 could do that with a potential road to Internationals with Season 10 if they get renewed. #TNS10WHEN

I think we will find out who wins between France and The Next Step, and from there the winning team will compete against all the other teams who won against their sister studio in season 10. If that happens, the international competition will be very rey similar to s3 where they actually travel to another country and have their competition in an official theatre

while i agree that there'll be drama with Anthony and adele's duet, i disagree with your prediction & have one of my own; in episode 16 ebby films the auditions that are considered for nationals including the winning duet and sends it to remi, this is confirmed in episode 17 so... the french team saw their duet. they might use that to their advantage i believe
