    Something that amazes me is that Kelly's skin is sometimes oily, even moreso in the summer and she still uses that Ordinary oil + Liquid Gold + Moisturizer. My skin is very dry in the winter, but 2 degrees above the winter temperature is enough to make my face drip oil. I would never be able to handle all of those products togheter 🤣🤣🤣

    I am 60 years old with combo normal to dry skin, leaning more towards dry. (So many videos are geared toward oily skin) I have been on a search for a moisture cream/lotion, and when you hit on a key word it made me pay closer attention. "Breathable". So many I have tried didn't feel breathable or moisturizing. So I ordered Illiyoon Ceramide Ato lotion and I nearly cried when trying it. It was everything you said it would be!!! Thank you so much!

    Talking about Toners: What do you think about the reformulation of the all time classic Etude House Soon Jung Toner? Apparently there has been some reformulation of the original Toner and they came out with two new additional products😶 Could you test them out and do a review on them? I'm quite sad about the reformulation since my skin liked the old formula so much and I wonder which one of the new Toners is comparable to the old Toner or if any other Toner from another brand is comparable to the Etude House Toner.

    I've been meaning to ask this whenever I hear you talk about the La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water(I've been using a different brand when needed for the past couple of years and I totally agree about what you're saying about it just being fancy water in a can, but it's really great at calming and cooling skin) but I keep forgetting to do it; I know it's a question of tuning into what your skin is needing and telling you and all that, but would you say the La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is replacing a (hydrating) first essence step - or would you, should your skin need it, use both?

  • @KellyDriscoll

    @KellyDriscoll

    2 жыл бұрын

    Definitely a question of what skin wants/needs in the moment. I do find that it offers a foundation of hydration for me and I usually cut back on toner layers when I use it. However, if you're using a first essence for brightening etc then you might still want to include it since thermal water is just water! All about what you want to achieve with your routine.

My skin is as dry as the desert so might be why the layering works for me.

    A couple questions... Which do you prefer... Stratia or Krave GBR? (I have both and are curious on your opinion) I love both but the only disappointment is they both cause congestion in my skin. Even from one use. I can only reach for them for barrier repair but not frequent preventative use which bums me out because I got both of those products for consistent barrier health. Do they never cause congestion for you?? Also, a beautiful and more affordable Azelaic acid is Facetheory's. Their Azelaic and Tranexamic are two go to's in my routine. Your videos have been very kind to my skin. I really appreciate you as a content creator.

    For me liquid gold isn't a good moisturizer because it lacks occlusivity. I personally use it like a serum or an emulsion (not technically an emulsion but fulfills that step in my routine) So I always use it with another moisturizer and the buffering of azelaic acid works with whatever the final layer would be. But lot's of people use it as a moisturizer and love it, it's pretty flexible!

    I love your channel girl... Your routine is good, but i feel like the goal product won't really benefit your skin because you put so many products and layers before it. I feel like azelaic acid was the main product that will give you more benefit for your skin. You should apply it after your toner, and then add other products if you want to. Basically in skincare, what i have learned is that, always put the most important product first (except for tretinoin which can penetrate no matter what). Hope this help someone. take care . But again always do what works for you

    🤔 It looks like you still have eyeshadow or is that your natural color? You should use a separate eye maker remover. I use waterproof eye maker remover before I double cleanse. 💕 So glad to see the same products you are using, I am using too. I like the consistency 😊

    Natural color, I have a lot of redness on my lids, oil cleanser breaks everything down for me but I don't wear waterproof makeup.

    That's not buffering. Buffering is applying a thin layer of moisturiser to your face, letting it dry, then applying tretinoin (or whatever other treatment) on top. Mixing actives into your moisturiser can actually lead to patchy application, meaning irritation in some areas and poor results. They should be applied separately.

    Hello Kelly May I suggest one product, if you want to try an alternative to liquid gold : "c.r.e.a.m" from Regimen Lab. It's a barrier supportive moisturizer with a good ratio of ceramides, fatty acid and cholesterol and I really love it. I use tretinoin for few month now and it really helps my skin to support it. I use it after the Matricium from Bioderma and before the cicaplast baume b5 in the night time because I need more occlusivity. In my morning routine I put sunscreen on it and it's enough for me. I don't know if the Matricium from Bioderma is available in the USA (I live in France), but it's a really great product to help the skin cell to regenerate, it is to be use as a cure when you have a really damage barrier moisture, or like me, when you want to prevent a damage barrier moisture. Thank you for your video, it's always a pleasure to watch them and really helpful. Have a nice day.
