You should interview some hotel and restaurant managers, give them a free plug. Ask them to do a tour of the hotel and rooms.
@OneHourProfessor

And ask them for a link :)
This all sounds great; I can't wait to see the follow-up videos.
You got shredded, the jawline is crazy, keep it up Alex. You're one of the SEO OGs.

Great video and good pivot..That is the same thing I did locally where I live and the site hasn't officially launched yet and I am getting between 100 to 500 pageviews per day.

Good luck mate, sounds like a masterplan!
Alex, I have drifted away from all my sites. Instead of web pages, KZread, etc., I have started to explore government contracting. I wish you well on your new adventure and I am sure that you will succeed. Hopefully, we can talk one day like we used to.

Well....I think it's a cracking idea and a great pivot. The site looks fab too. The one thing I'd love for you to show us (well me!) Alex is how you created the "shop" category and did the store front in a separate drop down. I really want to experiment with it but it's baffling me! Gaz. 👍
@WPEagle

Thanks Gaz. I'll do a video on it soon. Basically when you install Woocommerce you create a page called shop and set that as the shop page in the settings. You can then link to it from the nav. :)

Great video mate, and the site is a solid concept. I tried to get my friend to do something very similar thing years ago. She's obsessed with travel and could have built a blogging empire by now. Good luck with the project. Consider adding premium listings to the directory for monetisation.

Can't wait!
Good luck! Hopefully Google will like the website this time, but the lesson I learnt is that the original content doesn't have priority in terms of ranking. I think regular updates, regular activity such as team work on site, daily marketing, backlinks, return visitors etc. are the most important signals
It’s a solid plan Alex. I am doing a similar type of site for Pattaya since Feb and frankly speaking I am not disappointed with the growth it has. In fact, I am pleasantly surprised. But given the nature of Pattaya, it has a bit of shackles when it comes to monetization, socials, and link building including local citations.. However, I have found some good onlyfans affiliate deals that are paying off quite well. My next step would be to launch an info product catering to mongers. Good luck Alex, I am pretty sure it’s going to work. However I would personally keep away from display ads networks.
@WPEagle
Ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I’m curiosos about what you mean about the shackles of Pattaya and how only fans fits into this 😳
@brandonjoseph3422
Ай бұрын
@@WPEagle well, by shackles I mean, link building is difficult. i personally visit coyote clubs, girly bars, to post reviews and interview their managers. In my conversations hints of “female company” prices are involved. So my link pool is too narrow. I no longer trust the backlinks sellers, and the collaboration offers that I get are too hardcore if you understand by what I mean. I don’t want to make my site too much raunchy. I cover restaurants, events, pool parties etc which are family friendly too. I have also advertised my site in local magazines, in public transport, and in popular night clubs, restaurants, bars, in the form of small banners and holdings. Regarding only fans, there are many Pattaya - based girls who are massively popular in onlyfans in the EU, US, and UK. I promote their profiles via an affiliate network.
It's good❤
Alex if I may, add a moving here section. I have a place based tourism site. My highest ranking posts are about moving or retiring to the area. I followed this writing style and original photos etc. never really been affected by the Google updates But I didn't push money side until last year. So I'm probably not as successful as some but it's my brand and it's how I like to create. Do need to turn up the social media you've inspired me.

I'm not likely ever to do ads, not banners I might ask for sponsorship agreements with specific suppliers for specific posts. The moving here sections especially. It's just not in keeping with my brand idea. I do not want to look like an affiliate. I want it to look like a tourism portal.
Solid plan Alex, a lot of work to keep on top of though!! Is this built within Popcorn? Any tutorial on the build out? Funny enough, i had an idea to do something similar tour blog for my location. So will think about this monetisations also. Only as far as Domain purchased! Would like to update you when its moving, youll likely have a ton of feedback im sure.

Good video Alex. I always like to use street view to see how far it is to the shops, beach restaurant etc before I visit somewhere new. Its not always successful as the good cars don't wali down narrow roads. Maybe if you put videos on the site... when you are talking about a hotel you could do the walk to the beach to show this in real time. Its always useless when a brochure says 500 meters to the beach. Just an idea?

hi alex I have a question regarding using affiliate links in a post. Should I directly put the URL to the hyperlink (e.g., amazon ), or shall I mask it? eg : redirecting to recommends=> Then navigate to affiliate site behind the scene. which is best for SEO?

I always mask them. Use something like Lasso (wpeagle.com/lasso) or Prettylinks (wpeagle.com/prettylinks) - You can then track them easily change them if you need to in the future. I don't think it has a negative effect on SEO.

I don’t want to sound harsh but I’m really glad Google messed up all those poor standard niche AI-written websites that blogging gurus are blubbing about. Now you’re writing authentic content and engaging with real people on social media, you are doing what many have been doing for years, so you’re not ahead of the game and it might be tough. But I reckon you’ll get real pleasure out of this. If you’re genuinely passionate about what you’re doing and writing about, the quality will be so much better - and that’s what we all need. Good luck.

@@greengreengreenorg I agree. But I think a lot of us wanted the easy way out and relied on Google too much. The few that got it early - good for them. What I can't wrap my head around is finding the time to make a site like Eagle's new site. (I think it looks awesome and the content appears to be well thought out and well done). Only those of us in the 'know' have any idea how many hours it's taken Eagle to get this site up and running. I showed my GF this last night and my comment was how long it must have taken to create the content. I have a full time job and work on my sites when I can sneak it in. Don’t mean to offend but I feel the layout just isn’t that nice. Looks overcrowded and a vomit of videos. I think you could benefit from a better layout, maybe even structure but I’m sure you’ve got that down due to your SEO experience. Good idea though, you could expand to work with hotels, restaurants and get commission for driving traffic and sales. Maybe even email their offers and sell a slot in your email to local businesses as you get X amount of visits

In my opinion, you would not get anywhere near five figures a month from it. Estepona is a very small and not that popular town. You limit yourself to a small area. I think you should concentrate on social media channels, as you are good at it. You are a people person; I can see this on KZread. Use it to your advantage. Don't build another content website with company directories, etc. (this might have been good 20 years ago). Sorry to be harsh.
@WPEagle

Thanks for the comment. Social media is a big part of this project. Estepona has 250,000 visitors a year so I should be able to make some good money from it
@peterk1115

@@WPEagle 250K visitors is not that much... that's about 20K per month. Even if every single one of them visit your site you would still not make 5 figure a month. You need to be more realistic. I am not saying you won't make any money... just saying it won't be very profitable. The power of internet and social media is that it is not limited by area / location. Why would you do that?

You never know. Could be counterintuitive. Hyperlocal content with low competition is a way to avoid competing with huge authority sites. The only way to know is to take action and test. If it works partially, he can always do the same again, with a nearby, bigger town.
