Thanks once again, I didn’t realise getting closer affected the distortion. I actually have that 35, 1.4 and I absolutely love it and I think dabbling in some portrait work. As you know I shoot my landscapes, but I’m starting to do some portrait work for friends and I’m really enjoying the journey as well. Everything I do now is just another layer that you learn and to see someone’s is inspiring. Lighting is something I want to learn as in using off camera lighting 😮 Someone else going through the journey, inspires me on my journey

Excellent video, Pete. Big congrats on your fabulous space, viewership, and sponsorship. I'm not a fan of the Hurley setup for headshots for my own work, but it certainly works. Really love your shallow DoF portraits, however. Lovely stuff.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words. I think the Hurley style headshots work well as a contrast with my portrait work because I'm able to give my clients something bright/clean and dark/moody all in the same session haha.

Favorite Trek is The Next Generation. That’s what I grew up on! I love most Trek outside of Disco. I never got into that. I’m watching Strange New Worlds now… not sure what I think of it but I think the characters are strong. I absolutely love Lower Decks tho haha!

A person can tell alot about a photographer by the way he decorates his walls.

I had the 56mm 1.2 R WR but returned it because I didn't like the autofocus. The quality is amazing, but it was a bit slow to focus. I might try it again now that Fuji has updated the XT5 AF.
