Cool, fun topic! For me: The bangers of this era are TMNT, Thundercats, Duck Tales, Jaycee and Bionic Six. LOL at the Camp Candy comment.

@@dr.animaction the narration in the middle of the theme is also awkward with the B6 theme.
Mystery inc was the best Scooby doo by far. I would have added the Gummi bears

@joshuamountz6891 I definitely liked Gummi Bears too. Cutting it down to 20 was tough!
To be honest, I'm surprised that Inspector Gadget, Duck Tales, Pole Position, Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers, or Defenders of the Earth didn't make your list. I might have to add some British shows on there, like Danger Mouse, Bertha, The Trap Door, Postman Pat, and Count Duckula into the mix, but I am a sucker for those that have some intro as part of its opening sequence.

@andynortonuk I never really had much exposure to any of the British programming until I did the UK as part of my Animated 80s series. I'll have to go back and listen to all of those intros again without any distractions!

My top 20 list are 20. Super Mario Brothers Super show 19. Danger mouse 18. Voltron 17. C.O.P.S 16. Gummy bears 15. Centurions 14. Heathcliff 13. Scooby-Doo where are you 12. M.A.S.K 11. He-man 10. Inspector gadget 9. Bravestarr 8. Visionaries 7. Chip and Dale's rescue rangers 6. G.I. Joe 5. DuckTales 4. Teenage mutant Ninja turtles 3. Transformers 2. ThunderCats 1. Silverhawks

@jasonscott1978 Good list! I almost put Heathcliff on there, and as much as I love some of the others I don't know why they don't resonate with me as much. DuckTales and TMNT always put a smile on my face, and I'll always sing along, so I don't know why they didn't hit the list for me!

Meatballs and Spaghetti. 11. Pink Panther and Sons. 10. Get Along Gang. 9. It's Punky Brewster. 8. Heathcliff and the Catallic Cats. 7. Snorks Season 2 Opening. 6. TMNT '87. 5. Thundercats. 4. MASK. 3. Snorks S3/Syndication theme. 2. The World of David The Gnome. #1. Ducktales. Bonus: The New Archies.
is it me or does any one else notice that the Thunder cats respond to The sword omens call by chasing a laser dot in the sky.

If this was my list, I would have wormed 'DuckTales', 'Alvin & the Chipmunks', 'Ninja Turtles', 'Chip N Dale RR', 'Heathcliff', and even *'Jem!"* onto the list, with honorable mentions to the credits music for 'He-Man' and 'She-Ra'. ...So many good ones, though. A solid list, NTL.

My top twenty would be, in no real particular order and not all from the 80's... BraveStarr M.A.S.K. Voltron Masters of the Universe Alvin and the Chipmunks Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats Gummi Bears Batman Beyond Robotech Animaniacs Silverhawks Super Friends The Tick Thundercats X-Men Diplodo (listen to it some time, it's a BANGER) G.I. Joe The Movie (specifically the movie version) Freakazoid! Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot Transformers (the '85 version, which I also prefer) Honorable mention to Kidd Video (which I also adore), Pole Position, Pink Panther and Sons, and Pac-Man.

Fun video, I definitely was shocked to see MASK not on here, a lot of us probably have it at the top. Jayce and DuckTales are also up there for me. Alvin tends to be underrated, it's a pretty fun rock theme. And Danger Mouse might be a dark horse for me.

Duckula’s theme is good pick to make if you like spooky comedic theme in a similar vein to Beetlejuice.

@mindwipe8788 I do like the Duckula theme, and honestly had forgotten about it. Not sure it would have made the list, but fun song!
Thank you for the vid, we didn't get Camp Candy, I'll look it up. I would have added somewhere the intro for MASK and Ghostbusters (the filmation version). I agree with the songs :D but I would not have guessed the #1.

My favorite 80's cartoon theme songs are M.A.S.K., Thundercats, Robotech, G.I.JOE., Dinosaucers, Spider-man and His Amazing Friends, and more. 😀👍

My favorite is Jem & The Holograms. I do agree with you on Season 2 of The Transformers. I also want to mention Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers (shout out to the end theme Rangers Are Forever), Silverhawks, and MASK.
