I’m with you…my Pandora jewelry is precious to me but it is not ‘precious’ jewelry in that I don’t baby it….if it gets a bit worn that just means it has been well-loved!

This was a really good idea for a video. So many people ask this question. You have A Lot of Rose pieces. I haven't had any problems with my small selection of rose pieces except that my czs in two sets of the pave rose hearts openworks charms went greeny blue. I've been avoiding pieces with czs. I have the older heart band ring and it's still good. A couple of my pandora signature rose clips have faded if I had to be a bit picky but not badly. They might be the old metal. I do think alot of issues from plating can come from oils in our skin etc. My daughter strips white gold. She's wasn't good with the rose. I have noticed that you don't have any of the original 14ct rose gold dangles pandora did. It was a limited collection when the cz silver numbers and letters were out. There was a clover, heart, cross and key. You would love them and they go very well with the plated collection.

Thanks! It's one of the questions I keep getting over and over... and I know I'm not the only one. I see it on other Pandora videos I watch too. That is so strange about the czs in the pave rose hearts charm going greeny/blue. I have that charm in the silver and it's fine... I wonder if they used different stones? Some of the older pieces do strange things! I still love them but it's something I like to know about... Overall I'd say most of my collection has faired well. The older formula definitely isn't as good as the new one but I can believe that the oils in your skin can make a difference. I know they do with other jewelry so it makes sense that would be a thing here as well. I don't have any of the original 14ct rose gold dangles... it was outside of our budget when it came out and it's not on my list of retired pieces to search for now. Especially with how hard it can be to find truly original retired pieces. If I could have picked them up back in the day that would have great but oh well... can't have them all! Maybe I'll come across one at some point!

@@Happilyeverafteretc I have the silver pave hearts too and they are fine. I think maybe because pave czs are put in differently that maybe the part the stone sits on got water behind it and went green. I was thinking too that I also have the old smaller ones, I have one the same in 14ct gold with pink stones. These were rose plated with clear stones but different to pave. They are ok so far. I got them and most of my 14ct rose dangles on Rue la la years ago for fantastic prices. I found the key recently on ebay for about 30aud. The person selling though it was plated. Of course I knew it wasn't.

Great video ! 🤗 I do the same, keep those pieces of plastic from the bags that Pandora Rose come in next to my Pandora Rose jewelry in the jewelry box. Thinking the same as you, it might help, and at least it does not hurt the jewelry... 👍🤣

Exactly 🤣 it’s not going to hurt! I heard from someone at some point (I know very technical) that they’re good to keep in your jewelry box so I do… I don’t know if there will ever be a way to tell if that’s true or not 🤷‍♀️ and thank you!

I have a original rose gold Pandora bracelet and I was wondering why PANDORA sold all those first generation items off so cheaply. I’m look at my Pandora bracelet and rose gold carefully and see if it’s losing color but I don’t use that bracelet that often.

I have the matte purple murano. Love it.

So i purchase the first line of pandora shine plated gold. I never wore it. Stored it as directed by pandora! In months it was ruined. It’s all black and there is nothing I can do to fix it. I called pandora for warranty help and they refused. A $500 bracelet, trash!! I’m so frustrated! I see others not even take care of their plated jewelry and it’s fine. Idk what to do! I’d rather just find a way to remove the plating and have it all be one color 😢 please help!

I’m so sorry it sounds like you have defective pieces. I would try again with different Pandora people… either over the phone or in person. My mom has a shine bracelet from its first release and it’s her most worn bracelet… looks good as new

When did they started the new formula? I have a safety chain with rose gold details, its from the 2019 autumn collection, is it possibly the new formula?

They told me that the new formula is rose all the way through using a mixture of silver and copper with gold plating over the top, but if it’s wearing off that’s not the case.

I have the I love you charm and it's almost in the same condition than yours now, same thing for my rose gold murano with the old formula. i took a guess when they announced their new formula and my stuff is in best condition than my older after two years and more, even rings. but I am a little hesitant when it comes to buy rose gold pieces, I will buy if I have a crush on an item, or during promotions, like I bought almost all of my seven rose gold charm during black friday because it's so expensive

So has Pandora retired the old formula on everything they offer on their website and in store? Or is it only on specific charms and bracelets?

The old formula has been completely replaced with the new formula on all new charms/bracelets. If you find a retired piece it may still be the old formula but that would be the only possibility.

It hasn't changed from this video! The newer formula looks fabulous and the older formula looks ok... just a little worn. I just wore a few of my flower pieces for Easter and they hadn't been cleaned in many months but looked shiny rose gold. I wear mine frequently... especially my travel bracelet which is the rose gold heart clasp bracelet. I wear that one almost daily on my trips (just did 5 weeks in Australia) and once or twice a week when I'm home since I like to rotate with other bracelets... it still looks great after a year and a half of constant wear. Hope that helps!

I never shower, swim, take a bath... anything like that in my Pandora. Rose or silver. I have heard that people do but I'm not sure I'd risk it... I have no real info either way! Good luck!

I originally got into Pandora partially because it WASN’T plated. That being said, I do have a handful of the rose gold pieces and I would love, love, love to have the Pink Leather Sliding Rose Gold bracelet! 😍 🌹 💕

I like my silver pieces and love that they aren’t plated… but with the prices of the in-plated gold pieces I’m glad they have a more affordable option. They’re so pretty 😍 the pink leather bracelet is just beautiful, I had to have it as soon as I saw it

How do you know old from new formula?

It’s a certain time frame, one day when I went in to the store they said they had switched the formula. Any new pieces I bought after that were the new formula, I don’t know the exact date but I believe it was somewhere around 2018. Maybe someone knows the exact time

So far honestly open, Bangles are my favorite thing because for me personally they’re easier to put on done a bracelet with a class a clip

Hi hon! Unfortunately there's only two few ways... go to Asia and buy them yourself OR have someone in Asia buy them and send them to you. Exclusives are typically only available in those places although every once in a while they'll show up somewhere else. I had the peach blossom exclusives from Singapore sent to me from a friend... the same friend sent me the Chinese fan. The perks of growing up as an Army Brat... I know people all ever the world! I'm going to Singapore later this year and can't wait to actually see all the Asia exclusives for myself. There are facebook groups dedicated to helping people get exclusives from around the world that you can join just check the reviews for any seller very carefully as it's easy to buy fakes. Hope that helps!

Hi, I have the rose gold piglet dangle charm that came out recently and I'm hoping it doesn't fade. I have it on my full Disney bracelet so it will get wear and tear from the other charms knocking it, but I'm hoping not too much! 🫣

He’s a newer charm so I would guess he’ll hold up fine! It’s hard to say with some of the dangles (Piglet has a lot of edges!) but he’s not one I would worry about… I bet he’s adorable! I’ve thought about getting him but I don’t have a great spot… maybe one day!
