My Old Chicom Chest Rig

Ойын-сауық

Going over my old Chicom Chest rig for my AK platform Rifle. No Vietcong was harmed during the making of this film. Kidding aside, this chest rig was one of the most prolific items that was distributed to our enemies and supplied by China, globally. It was used extensively in Vietnam by the Vietcong as well as MACV-SOG ( Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Oversavations Group ) and other special operations groups. These are still made to this day and can be found on enemy combatants in many theaters of conflict.
Still working on my audio and lighting. In the next two videos...I think I got it squared away, except for my video quality. As time goes on, I'll be working on that. I hope you enjoy this video. Please like, share, and subscribe!

Looking forward to the 30 carbine video. It has become my defensive rifle due to weight!

John, it is so nice to see you back. I was a regular viewer of your old school videos. You actually inspired me to start/maintain my channel. Thank you so much!

Can't disagree with you there lol. A military surplus place, name is Kommando Store, has brought back the SADF chest rig based on the ChiCom rigs. Worth a look and they have brought back some of the Rhodesia specific gear. Like Takkies and Waxis

Chi-Com rig prices aren't what they used to be, they have skyrocketed as well as anything East German/Soviet/Com-Bloc. White Lithium grease is a favorite for use on AK/SKS platforms, you can get it in a squeeze tube and might be easier to carry in your kit than your STP axle grease. That Eagle Industries 3 pouch placard is pretty sweet, Blackhawk also made some pouches for the AK that you might be interested in.

I've seen the Chicom Rig for around 35 bucks. I've never seen East German mags for sale, at least not in the last 20 years, but then again, i haven't looked. The axle grease is actually very easy to carry. I use my grease gun to put it into a separate container. I'll keep using it because I already have it and use it on my vehicle instead of having to buy, yet another thing. Plus, it does work really well. I'll check out the Blackhawk pouches. I'm always looking for better stuff. Thanks for that!

I've actually got a few videos covering both my LBE rigs which will cover the gear in the butt pack. I have a few videos ahead of them in the queue. They will most likely be after the LBV-88 and Voodoo Tactical LBE videos.
