my not so optimal leg day warm up routine

If you're unsure of what to do for a leg day warmup, then here is a very basic warm up routine that I've been doing before training legs 🦵🏼
The main importance of warming up is that it greatly decreases your chances of injury. The longer you can stay injury free, the more progress you can make inside the gym.
Ideally, you should just be doing dynamic stretches and I do encourage you to build your own warm up routine that targets areas that you feel you need to work on the most.
However, as doo doo as my warm up is, I think this should at least be the bare minimum for what you should be doing.
On top of warming up and stretching, always make sure to acclimate properly, and never jump straight into your working sets.

    I do the same warmup and I can confirm it's really good. Just few dynamic stretches and slowly increase towards the working set for first exercise.

    I've personally found that just doing the movements for the day at a lighter weight is a good warm up. Btw, you may want to do some research on stretching before a workout. Pretty sure it increases injury risk.

    Yeah if youre doing static stretches for too long, it could have an adverse effect. Ngl, I actually only just throw it in there for a couple of seconds because it’s just become a routine now even though it probably doesnt provide much benefit 😂😂😂

    The worse thing about warm up sets is the time necessary to do every warm up set 💀 Of we do 3 or 4 we stay a bunch of hours in the gym.

    You wouldnt have to do proper sets and reps to fatigue yourself when you’re acclimating towards your working weight. It’s just there so you can prime your body for heavier loads and so your joints and muscle arent going in cold. You might actually benefit from it strength wise because your body is able to move more freely from acclimating properly!

    I injured my right glute during Bulgarian split squat. I thought I warmed up enough but probably not good enough. That movement gives you such a deep and tight stretch not sure what happened. Just feels like someone give me a good hard kick on my ass haha. I had 27.5 kilo dumbell weight in total. Broke my right leg many years ago, it’s still struggling to get strong so that weight is extreme for me right now. So not weird this happens.

    Icl i never really have time for too many stretches, i just go for a 5 - 20 mile cycle in the morning to get the blood flowing then obliterate myself on squats because it’s great fun

    Man injuries suck even small ones I tore my peck ( minor tore muscle) I am blessed that it was not tendon But the wait to put up plates on bench just kills Trust me after toring peck leg training feels much better than upper body training

    Nah it’s just a variation of the hack squat! It’ll take the load off the knees a little bit and helps you at the bottom of the movement, but that’s about it!

    I would definitely do a little be more prior to jumping into the exercise! Despite feeling like you’re fine, injuries mostly happen when you least expect it, so better be safe than sorry!

    You dont have to do all the prescribed reps when working your way up. Just do however many you feel like until you feel comfortable at that load and then go up. As weight increases when im working up to my working set, i would do less reps each time. For example, if i got up to 50kg and still warming up, i would probably just do 1-2 reps of that, then start my working set at 60kg!

    The biggest one would probably be a torn meniscus! Was out of the gym for 6 months and it took another 6 months to get back to square one 😪 Then the rest were probably just little strains and pulls which put me out for a week here and there
