I haven’t been “gyming” all that hard, but after surviving cancer in my inner right thigh, all I’ve wanted to do was to have my own ‘bakery’ (cough). Unfortunately I have to work against the chemotherapy, which manipulated my whole right leg to grow MUCH slower… I’m bummed out by it, but EVEN SO, I’m gonna train. It’s almost certainly fine for the vast majority of people, as long as you’re lifting a weight you can control. Don’t do it if it causes you pain (especially if repeatedly and increasingly worse). PhD. Mike Israetel of Renaissance Periodization has like 4 videos on it explaining why it’s safe.

What Does Tempo Mean? Essentially, 'tempo' in weight training refers to the speed that you lift the weight (the concentric phase of movement) and how quickly you lower the weight (the eccentric phase of movement).
