I love your collection video! So many games I love too! Atelier Lulua is my favourite atelier game so far! And also I am playing trials of mana right now and I am loving it so much! Definitely recommend starting that one! Hey I just wanted to let you know that your channel inspired me to finally start collecting all my games in physical. I've been buying mostly digital for my Switch and I now see the error of my ways. Having a game that's not tied to a console or an account is invaluable. Plus, they look really good on a shelf, kinda like a gaming bookcase. Oh and if you buy them second hand most of the time cost less than even the best digital only sales. For instance, in my local sales groups I've been able to score 5€ 3DS games that looked brand new!

Oh I'm glad to hear that you've taken to physical games! Digital is nice to have for convenience & deep discounts on some older indie titles but yeah there are a lot of benefits & deals for physical games nowadays :)

As a collector myself of mainly Playstation stuff (i used to collect Nintendo stuff till the prices, specially in Canadian got to exorbitant prices lol) your collection is amazing! The value alone is one thing but the similarity in games (things i have for PS4/5 or just interests in general for game genres) is stellar to see! Truly loving these collection / haul videos, keep up the amazing work :)

Awesome video! I finished skyward sword shortly after it released on switch and I have to say, I highly suggest playing it with controller as opposed to the motion controls with the joycons. Using the controller makes it feel like a normal Zelda game and much easier to maneuver

Ah ok, that makes me feel a lot better about giving it a go. I'm playing mostly on the lite so I was a bit worried with how it would translate on there. But glad to hear that it played pretty well just with a regular controller.

I love your JRPG collection! I'm really interested in purchasing some titles for my collection, especially Ys IX and Valkyria Chronicles 4. I loved the time I spent in Ys VIII and I keep forgetting to purchase the next game in the series! I also adore the atelier series, Firis is my favorite atelier game that I've played so far!

And I've been recently thinking about getting the physical Atelier Mysterious Trilogy on playasia actually to try out Firis & the other two games. I should probably do that soon before it sells out again (but while that price tag is great for 3 games it's still a lot to swallow for one physical cart 🙈 lol).

I just checked their site and they restocked the dusk trilogy dx pack too... I'll definitely have to pick that one up! I had no idea they would restock on playasia! Oh too true lol. My first Atelier game as Ayesha and I loved it. I got about 1/3 of the way into Escha & Logy and put it down for some reason (but totally intend to pick it back up eventually). But if you loved the Mysterious trilogy I'm sure you'll love the Dusk one was well!

Great collection! I have te same problem, now I have the money to buy games but not the time I used to have when I was a kid haahahaha. I love rpg games in general and can't believe on the switch was the first time I played a dragon quest and fire emblem game, love both of them and currently trying to find all games I can of these franchises for the ds and 3ds haha

I was also thinking that it may be better to play on the pro controller instead of my lite set up, even with a grip. I've been waiting for the 'next iteration' of the Switch to get something dockable to play these types of games on but who knows what Nintendo's plans are 😅

True Colors is another game on my list! I was waiting for it to go on sale and I think I saw it discounted recently actually. It's definitely a title I really want to try on the Switch. And I've heard a lot of people are highly anticipating the new Ninja Turtles game as well - hopefully there'll be news on that release soon!

Great collection! I can’t wait for the sequel for Zelda! Wish Nintendo would put twilight princess and wind waker on the switch. That’s how I got into gaming, if you like farming game there’s this game that is coming out in the fall called Sunny side it look really cute. I hope coral island come to the switch too this year!

I never got the chance to play them on the older consoles so it would be great to see them remastered or at least ported on the Switch. And thanks for putting those games on my radar! Loving the collection videos. I do so love the switch. Only at 74 titles myself, with Code of Princess EX and SNK 40th collection probably being the highlights. I do have a sealed Imaginators I picked up on clearance when Skylanders went the way of the dinosaur. I'm curious, do you use Game Eye or any similar program to catalogue and track your collection and it's value?

Those are definite worthy titles to own in a collection, and cool deal with the Skylanders set too :) For game cataloging, I'm actually very much a spreadsheet person (it's maybe an occupational hazard 😅) so I like to keep track of my collections, wish lists, and what I've played using those. I've heard good things about Gameye though, it seems like a very convenient app. I also don't really keep track of the value of my collection mostly because I don't really consider it as part of my net worth statements/ intend to use it as a financial investment, etc. The market is so volatile and a lot of the gaming stuff is a bit untested long-term so I sort of hesitate keeping track of it myself. I know some people like to use PriceCharting for this and while it can be useful it seems like it can be a bit misleading too. The video game collecting space is constantly changing though so I may change my mind in the near future, who knows haha.

In my youth, i lost a sizeable ps2 collection. Only got scraps from renters insurance because i hardly knew what i had myself. Plus, it's nice to tell my pals that my copy of Rule of Rose is charting at some ridiculous price lol

@@orbalology ow cool. The lite is the best model for gaming on the go, in my opinion. The og model is a tad tight on the old pocket ha. Ow youll really enjoy the difference when you do decide to pull the trigger. The screen is night and day. Have you imported the Atelier triple pack with Sophie on? Atelier has to be my favourite jrpg series :).

Do you enjoy Point & Click style games or any FMV style games? I was excited to see that you have some Shantae games! I have all of them on PS4/PS5/Switch that have been released, except for Pirates ☠️ Curse on Switch, I missed out on it from LRG when it was released. I reccomend you getting Sega Genesis Classics which has Shining Force 1&2 (since you love Fire Emblem) Shining in the Darkness (my favorite Genesis RPG) Phantasy Star 1-3, Light Crusader & Land Stalker. I also reccomend Dragon Quest 1-3 Collection on Switch.

I do have some nostalgia when it comes to the point & click genre (though mostly from the Humongous Ent. kid games from way back lol). I've never tried FMV games specifically but there are a few point & clicks I've been eyeing, like Grim Fandango and Disco Elysium. I'm curious how well they transition on the Switch compared to PC. And oof yeah I'm sad that I missed the Switch Shante Pirates Curse too, it would be cool if another publisher or region could print more physical copies since LRG said they won't be bringing it back. And thanks for all the recs! I hadn't looked into the Sega Genesis package and didn't realize the Shining Force games were on it!

@@orbalology I have both Grim Fandango and Disco Elysium on Switch but I haven't played them yet, so I'm not sure on how well the conversion is on Switch. I have trails of cold steel 1 & 2 on ps4 and 3 and 4 on switch. Now i kind of wish i got them all on ps4... but im hopeful that switch will get 1 and 2 physicals. Atelier Lulua is so much fun! It was my first Atelier game that really hooked me. I had played a bit of Ryza 1 and couldnt really get into it. I do want to get back to ryza 1 though so i can go to 2 even tho i know you dont need to play them in order.

In hoping Falcom & xseed can patch things up so that they can finally localize their older games into the switch! Including the newly announced Ys remaster. The first Ryza can be a bit slow especially in the beginning. I personally found the character growth from the 1st to 2nd game extremely rewarding but you can definitely just jump into the second game if you prefer. There just may be some cameos and character arcs that seem a bit strange without having completed the first game but they're not necessary to enjoy the game.

I would definitely play Skyward Sword in docked mode even if you use button controls. It can be hard on the right thumb stick and I would be afraid of beating down the stick on the lite.

I don’t know if you had this answered, but the Online for Wargroove doesn’t have any impact on the single player. It’s a fun game and well worth a go for a tactics enthusiast. The story is just very basic. It’s mainly gameplay. I hear it’s very much like Advanced Wars which I never played. I am looking forward to Nintendo rereleasing them this year. Anyway love the Channel.

Since u like performers a cute one I found is Lunistice. It's got a great art style. Not sure if there's a physical version though

The switch is my favorite console. I try to go physical as much as I can even if I have to import. Which I do. I have the physical copy of the klonoa collection.

I highly recommend Digimon Survive. It is a visual novel, but with tactical combat (similar to 13 sentinels). In a way it is inspired by the Digimon Adventure anime, but with new characters and a darker setting.

@@orbalology It is a quite replayable game, as the decisions lead to very different paths. You will need a new game+ and certain decisions to reach the true ending (it's worth the effort).

Would you recommend Disco Elysium?

yes it's true it's very slow ffx, but it has an impeccably written history, the problem is that you only realize this after many hours

have you made a video on the Atelier Ryza series? I only play 1 rpg a year and I never know what to play

I haven't yet but I really adore the Ryza series!! The first game is a bit on the slower side but it has a very casual rpg feel if that's something that appeals to you. The sequel enhanced a lot of the features and made it an even better game imo :)

I haven't yet, I was planning to play P4G on my vita before getting back to P5R. Though now I'm thinking of picking it up on the Switch semi-soon since I tend to gravitate towards handheld systems over larger tv consoles, and I feel like I would get to it sooner on there 😅

Are you excited for xeno blade 3 which is technically 4 or even 7 if you count all the mini side games In the blade series it can be even higher if you count all the saga games and gears which is the exact same series it looks like blade 3 will involve time travel and be a combination of the whole series and a sequel and just be the biggest game of the series

Is ys 9 the same set of characters

For the Ys games the main character Adol is consistent throughout the series but all the other characters I believe are not.

Is your channel name a reference to Trails? The first Fire Emblem, don't push yourself to go through it. It has fundamental issues that make a bad game and the music is grating, the game does not give you any information like hit, dodge and crit chances and it's confusing to pull up any info on stats and those stats don't really help you make strategic decisions. It's cool seeing a woman that likes Xenoblade though, it seems like most women get weird harem vibes from it and write it off... which fair, I saw Kos-Mos in the 2000s and had a very different idea of what Xenosaga was initially. I'd recommend Labyrinth of Refrain if you like twisted horror, visual novels and first person dungeon crawlers though

Yes! Orbalology is a nod to Trails - it's one of my favorite franchises. And yeah I've been putting off the original FE for the reasons you mentioned, and I really want to try the remake on the DS because that's supposed to be pretty solid. The Xenoblade series I think is becoming increasingly more popular among a lot of JRPG fans. While the 2nd one especially had more of a harem system & some unrealistic character models it didn't really bother me much. The atmosphere, story, and gameplay are really the core focuses imo and some of the reasons why I've come to really love those games. And I'll check out Labyrinth of Refrain - I have it on one of my lists actually and recently I've gotten more interested in first person dungeon crawlers.

@@orbalology Cool! Trails and Xenoblade are my favorite series for a lot of the same reasons. I'm a sucker for sci-fi, quantum physics, psych and philosophy and Christian references and themes in games. The two franchises focus on those things to different degrees, but there's enough overlap, I'm convinced Trails was made by a big fan of Xenogears/Xenosaga.

I've yet to play the original Xenogears & Xenosaga, it would be cool if they ported or remastered those some day. But those are all good themes. I'm finishing up 13 Sentinels right now actually so I've been on a bit of a sci-fi kick myself recently :)
