My New V-Rod Muscle Wouldn't Start | Easy Fix?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Before i could take a ride off on my new 2013 V-Rod Muscle, I had to get it to start. Luckily, it was simply a semi-dead battery that needed a charge. I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a cheap battery tender but I ran into a second problem. The V-Rod didn't have the quick connect attachment (or so I thought) which allows you to connect/disconnect the charging cable like a phone. After taking a few panels off, I realized the V-Rod DID have one on but it was tucked away behind the panels. Go figure. Gave it a charge over night, came back the next day and the V-Rod Muscle was ready for its first ride with me.

Take your time man! Quality takes time and I'd rather have the quality you've brought to the table thus far than diminished returns. Still hate Harley (mostly because they choose nostalgia over innovation in my opinion) but the V-rod gets a pass because it is that innovation that I personally have seen lacking in Harley designs. Don't get me wrong Harley makes a solid ride I just prefer something a little different and arguably better *cough* VICTORY haha #RIPVictory #longliveIndian. In all seriousness bro, keep up the great work I personally can't wait to hear your input on the V-rod. Depending on your opinion, and despite my friend groups differing taste, I may pick one up myself.

Was never attracted to Harleys until the V Rod came out. Unfortunately way beyond my price range. Luckily the M109r came along and looks even better (to me), have had my '07 just over 2 years now with no bigger issue than you are with the battery. Too bad bikes that big are NO fun belting around town- cornering is a chore, so I'll probably sell it soon and get an old favourite. Either a variation of a Honda CX or if i can find one, a Honda XLV750. It'd be nice to keep the 109 but 8k is alot for me to sink into a bike that I hardly ride.

Bike was probably shipped with the alarm armed. You need to place the alarm into "transport mode" prior to shipping it or it'll run down the battery quick flashing those LED turn signals every 30 seconds, thinking it's being stolen. Brandon, if you were lucky enough to get the owner's manual, there's a plasticized tear-out card in the back that allows you to carry your "disarm" code in your wallet. If ever your key fob discharges or you drive off without it, you'll need the code (and the instructions on the card) to manually disarm the security system and start the bike.

If your referring to a new rocket 3, more than likely the price (like 22k for a new one). If you’re referring to the older rocket 3, he might have just wanted a Harley.

Opinions are all over the place on when to do it, if you don't want to follow the HD service recommendations. Definitely change the plugs during the valve adjustment, seems the best choice. I haven't been on the 109's...but the Vrod is a beast, and corners a million times better than most of the Sunday drivers are capable of. Yes it's a cruiser, and yes it's heavy but it can still be thrown around a whole lot more than people think. My Busa is the same way...I ride them both more like sport bikes than cruisers and it's a whole different world.
