🙋🏾‍♂️ Who is Bicasso:
I ride motorcycles with the full time career of being a System's Administrator. I'm like the majority - I work a lot for a living and have to find time to ride either on my commute, after work hours, on the weekend or with the two weeks vacation I get from work. A constant goal is finding a balance between working full time, riding motorcycles, creating content and being relatable to many of you out there.

Just got my V-Rod Muscle with 3000 miles on it and I absolutely love the bike, best bike I’ve ever owned period, I plan to keep this bike for the remainder of my life. I was hoping that Harley was going go upgrade the V-Rod eventually but instead they killed it. It only needed an engine upgrade (the 150Hp unit from the Pan America), a 6-speed transmission and upgraded electronics to stay competitive against the muscle bikes from Triumph and Ducati.

I purchased my V-Rod Muscle new in March 2011. It now has more than 58,000 miles. I've never had an issue with the engine "burning" too much oil. Maybe Porsche/H-D gave it 5 qts of oil just to make sure the bike has more than enough internal lubrication. My Muscle is still running strong. The VROD is the BEST motorcycle Harley ever sold. But I knew it was doomed. I've owned and ridden Pan heads Shovel heads and an Evo. Loved the Evo. VRod was never going to win Harley riders too different and water cooled. Japanese bike lovers had multiple choices in power cruisers that cost less. Took the VROD for a test rider and a Buel. The VROD is a woulda shoulda for me.

I don't think they hold a lot of value because they are discontinued, because I have a 2016 with only 2,800 miles on it and when I tried to look up the value of my bike on the black book it said that it was between $10,00 and $12,000. Harley Davidson wants to offer me about $9,000 for it, what a bunch of crooks. lol... I bought the bike in 2016 brand new for $19k plus finance, so is safe to say that in 6 years the value dropped about half of what I paid for.

You’d have to go off what the market is listing them for too. A newish Vrod def would go for more compared to one with more miles and the same year.

But autos do have a minimum price so I look at it like this. You can ride your bike and put probably 10-15k miles on it and still sell it for a price around that minimum if not more.

@@BrandonBicasso hey I should say that I enjoy your channel and I like your content. I apologize that I’m so hyper critical of American motorcycle companies, they just seem to do SO much wrong while the rest of the industry is absolutely killing it ie; KTM, Kawa and Triumph to name a few. That said (because I’m a moto masochist) when I get a Sportster S I’ll probably be looking to get a “PAN tune” from Screaming eagle. I must give them due praise for staying very close to the rendition first shown, the bike looks great and I can’t wait to ride one.

@@Heavywall70 No worries! From what I hear, the Sportster S can’t be tuned to that of Pan giving the internals are different. My thought are the same that more power is available, though.
