In 50 years some foreign manufacturer will risk making a machine similar to this one in Brazil but at the moment we are working as always with hammer and slicer !!! Your machine and your workshop are spectacular, congratulations.
I think its smart because your young and will get many years use. I bought my Craftsman saw when I was about 25 and I'm still using it at age 74. You made a good choice!
Felder Gruppe should be knocking on your door with gifts for such a beautifully presented and genuine recommendation of their product. Anybody listening at Felder ???
I'm sure this table saw is worth every single cent. To me, it seems you did know exactly what you wanted. Congrats to the new machine.
Come on Filder what a chance to back some young talented man showing such commitment to your product .What a very good and concise review Marius thank you .
Congratulations Marius. I was 55 before I got my first real table saw and even then it was half what yours cost, and half the quality. Knowing you, you will have that saw for many many years and get many years of enjoyment. Looking forward to your first build.
Germany what a country. I was over there for a visit a couple years ago and enjoyed touring the cities, museums, castles and loved the deli shops! Folks are well to do.Maybe because they make so much selling a simple table saw for big $? I can see wanting top quality but lets remember it's not the saw that makes a great craftsman it's experience and knowledge that makes great wood projects. I have a Lobo 3 hp 10 inch I bought a few years ago and it's simply the best saw I've ever used for the price $900. I created a collapsible out feed table and 6 ft attached table to handle large sheets of plywood. I also have a removable sliding table with outrigger (made separately). All this is on wheels and I can still push it aside and pull my car in the garage at night. On a positive note Marius this saw will out last 20 years you can hand it down to your children when the time comes. :)
Beautiful saw. It is good that you are still excited about it, even after waiting for so long. Congratulations!
An absolutely stunning tool Marius! Brave family to hoist it down the stairs!

***** Thanks Tyler!
I used to fantasize over getting a saw like that, but have since decided it's more fun to make do with less and improvise. And it would be too hard to get into the basement. The 90 degree stop is a nice touch since my dad bought his in 1986.

I recently had a bad dream ... I turned on the computer and saw a photo of Matthias Wandel striking a cool pose in front of a shop filled with gleaming, high-end machinery. Luckily, it was just a disturbing dream. That being said, I am a little jealous of this sweet machine and happy for the lucky guy who got it and shared it with us!

Matthias Wandel We have a felder saw at work, and it's a panel saw and not a table saw. The blade tilts towards teh fence and not away from it suggesting it's dominant side. There is only one awkward groove normally used to clamp large pieces down but nothing milled parallel to the fence. I dream about a cabinet makers table saw but in reality I going to be using mine till it packs up..

El Rayo X Thank you VERY much!!! I really appreciate when people noticing exactly what you mentioned. When I look at some older (4-5 months ago) I can see myself, that got better at talking to the camera.
Always nice to see someone get a new saw. Thanks for the video!
I agree with you as it is an awesome saw and I have not seen one like that in Canada!! Nice to hear your parents supported you with financial help in buying it and your grandfather and family all help you getting it into the basement!! They appreciate the great work you do and your talent knowing that you will put it to good use. Blessings
You will not be disappointed, as far as “ its expensive gos “ doing what you love is money well spent, good lock .🇨🇦👍🏻
The blade just sings... it's music to my ears! Congrats on the new purchase.
Congratulations Marius! That is a fine piece of machinery. I look forward to seeing it in action. Kudos to your parents for "Sponsoring" you show! :)
That's an excellent piece of machine, Marius. Congrats on your new acquisition!
Congratulations Marius, very nice saw, I'm glad you are happy with your new saw, enjoy.
Wow, wouldn't have expected this video to blow up like that. Grats.
Congrats for the new saw, it looks awesome, I'm sure you'll have a lot of good use of it.
Congratulations on your new saw! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy your videos!
congratulations on the awesome upgrade.. my best wishes and hope to see some crazy useful thing coming off that table saw
The table saw is the center of the shop; great to have a nice one. You got a beauty, Marius!
Perfect timing. I will tell my family all I want for Father's Day is a new Hammer!
BRAVO Marius, I lived and worked 12 in France and I had a 1 in 5 machine too and it was Great. Same size as your by a different brand name and it served me very well up until I had to move back to the US California. this video brings back very good memories of my time there and the work I did at home there. I worked at an artesian wood working shop.
Great, informative review Marius, thanks for taking the time to share.
Seems ti be a very very nice piece of tool! I hope it serves you well and that it last as much as you expect! Willing to see your next projects!
I have very much enjoyed your review.... Most of the woodworking machine reviews on this site are nothing but loud music with no comments or suggestions... I am searching for a combo machine and your review is the best I have found so far.... James

Cool, thanks!
Beautiful piece of engineering. Can't wait to see what you get up.
Good to see another no-bullshit woodworking channel. So many other youtubers doing this rely on eyecandy and provide little beyond that.
Mine is ordered and arriving next week can’t wait. Thanks for the great video
Congratulations Dude, that is a beatifull machine indeed. I hope to see a lot of proyects with it! Enjoy it.
You got yourself a beautiful saw there Marius. It will serve you well for plenty years, you'll see. Congratulations
Amazing video, Marius. Very entertaining as always
Nice saw--I love the fence--can't wait to see what you build with it.
Hallo Marius, Glückwunsch zu deiner Hammer, mit der wirst du lange Spass haben !!! und wir sind bereit für weitere Videos von Dir !!
awesome Marius... special the begin!! keep up the good work, greets from belgium
That saw is bigger than my shop. In fact, most of my shop would fit inside it. Man, i envy you! That is a wonderful machine. Now excuse me, while i go to my shed and screw my circular saw back underneath its plywood board.
Getting that beauty down to the basement was incredible to watch. Can't wait to see the saw in action.
Bravissimo Marius!!! Expensive stuff always worths, good deal! As u say its gonna last really long with no doubt. Looking forward for new projects, continua così
Be thankful to God you have this. I am really eager to have that one. I studied for two years in Carpentry works and graduated. I was working in different shops but still didn't have my own the same as yours. To tell you briefly, I was able to make different styles of furniture at the age of 19.
Really interestig product review - I liked it a lot. I wandered into a Felder shop once, and you sell this saw so much better then they can themselves! And also congrats!
That's a great looking machine Marius and a wonderful addition to your shop. This an investment you will appreciate for a long time.
An awesome saw Marius. Congratulations.
Looking forward to all the new videos Marius.
it s just happened that i was watching in Hammer and Felder site for few days for price on those table saws, then i couldn t find any ,and today the first woodworking video ,boom :) Now i know how much they start from at least .Great upload as usual
Great saw, great video. Can't wait to see you mowing the lawn.

Rick Measham Why should I do that.
Many thanks for making this film, it's been really informative.
Man.... what a machine!! I have never heard about this brand here in Brazil, but now I know I can trust and if I find this table saw our something from this brand in the market, I'll buy with my eyes closed. One more thing, I do like your videos and I really appreciate your work and you as a person, I know we don't know each other, so you might think: this guy is crazy, haha, but I'm not. You're a very kind person. Maybe it's in the blood, haha, many relatives of mine are from Germany, haha Thanks for your videos and I'm looking forward to watch new ones. :)
Really nice review of what appears a good saw, just bought a s/h Charnwood 8 inch but this is the sort of saw I will be aiming for in the future. Like your videos, have learned a great deal, appreciate the detail you go into and have subscribed. All the best, keep them coming. Jez.
Great tablesaw Marius. You are absolutely right...you will get what you pay for. Maybe same features for less, but this saw will last a lifetime. Superb quality. You will enjoy that with every cut you make. Keep the good vids coming..greetings from The Netherlands
As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The saw looks impressive and sounds better than most other table saws. Have fun with that.
6.54 I use that saw at work it's amazing everything on it is controlled electronically it so accurate
I believe you will be satisfied with your new tooling, congratulations!
About Felder service, can confirm. They really give you great support. I have a Felder FB510 bandsaw, and it is a beast. I am just so jealous of your K3... I live in an apartment, so my bandsaw is the largest powertool I have. For straight cuts I have to settle for a Bosch GTS10J contractor's saw, which isn't too bad, provided you have the tools to set it up. One day, though.. I will have a Format4 table saw in my house.... or I will cry myself to sleep :P I know this vid is old, but congrats on the "new" table saw!
What a great piece of engineering. I Too don't like all the micro jig adds but oh well. I also have one and works great. I could live without cable tv as I watch a lot of KZread so if I gotta watch a few sec of ads I don't care. I have tonnes of free content to watch thanks to all the you tubers out there.
Love to see a german channel with this kind of stuff :)
Congrats on your new toy you are enjoying already!
Congratutalions for this excellent video. I am considering buying one of these machines, and your demonstration is very helpfull. Thank you for sharing it. Cheers from Madrid.
So you helped my decision to get the hammer k3 tablesaw. Just wanted you to know that. I live the USA, and because of your videos, I started researching Felder/hammer, and ultimately bought the k3 winner 48x48. Thanks!

Very nice machine. Congratulation, Marius.
I am happy and jealous at the same time. Sliding table are gaining popularity in the states and I would love to upgrade to one in the future!
......nice machine, setting yourself up with good tools is never a bad idea.....look forward to your 1st new project.
This video convinced me to upgrade my Craftsman TS to a B3 Winner instead of a SawStop. It arrived a couple days ago. I'll be setting it up this weekend.
Nice Table Saw! I can't believe how much work you put into getting it into the basement.
Really inspire with a small workshop... With all that machine...a long way to have my own... But no more excuse.. gonna make my own workshop...thanx...
Nice review. Thumbs up for getting yourself a quality tool. Thumbs up to your mom & dad too. I was amazed how you moved the saw into your house. Dang.

Stanton Taylor Thank you!
Congratulations! That is a wonderful tool.
I bought the same saw about 3 years ago and love it. When I purchased the saw, it was not set up accurately at the factory and ultimately required a service call (paid for by Felder). I'm glad to hear that they have changed that practice and calibrate everything prior to shipping. As you say, the saw is a powerhouse, I haven't cut anything that came close to bogging down the motor, or even slowing it just a little. Enjoy the saw

Marius Hornberger The saw I purchased has the round 1.5" fence rail rather than the aluminum extrusion on the newer saw. My biggest grip about the saw is that the fence doesn't move smoothly on the guide rail. I think it is due to the way the clamping mechanisim is designed to grip the round rail. Do you find that the aluminum extrusion allows for a smooth movement? Do you thing the extrusion will bear up for 20 years of use?
@MariusHornberger
9 жыл бұрын
It's not super smooth movement, but I can live with that. And if it last for 20 year depends how intensely you use the saw and if you take care about it. It should.
That is not a tablesaw...it's a work of art! :-) congratulations on your new purchase.
Excellent review, looking forward for up coming projects

peXyLP Thanks, but I don't live in Franconia. I'm in Swabia ;)
Excellent presentation. There are a lot of features I'll be interested in watching you use in the future. I like the fence. It seems the riving knife extends above the blade requiring removal for kerf cuts.
Excellent review. I've always used a bandsaw to rip material, but now you have me considering a slider. I need to invest in one of the Hammer Jointer/Planers first.
I took your advice I now have the plug...I am saving up for the rest lol. It looks like a really nice saw looking forward to your creations.
I seriously hope you don't need to move home for a few years. Good teamwork getting it down the stairs. It looks really solid. As you say - choosing quality really matters with a tool like this. I look forward to viewing your future projects with it.
i think in Europe this is a no brainer choice, just the best quality to price ratio, the same is suited for the Hammer bandsaw... congrats for your great buy...
love your videos Marius... awesome stuff !
u did well to buy that saw table. My rule " i never cry the money i spend in my machines" good luck my friend.
congratulations! thanks for giving us a tour
I am in love. Im trying for a week or so to get my dad so far that he will let me buy one 😁😱😍
That is an awesome review, I hope the manufacture uses you as their spokesman . At least the should give you some gratis upgrades. Love the saw
You could brace the fence from flexing easily with a Magswitch MAGJIG 95. Love the saw and your work/videos.
Glad you like it
You are an outstanding young man.

I bought a Hammer bandsaw also in January and got it close to 8 weeks later...Pity it takes so long from purchase to delivery... Keep it up and enjoy...Microjig videos from everyone everywhere is like tiring :)
That's a seriously impressive saw. Congratulations. Make something nice for mom and dad!
Hammer time! Great vid. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations on successfully rigging that beautiful beast in your basement. . .looked scary going down those steps with a chain hoist possibly twice as old as you. Glad to see things worked out for you. . .Danny
Nice saw Marius! Enjoy! My 1954 Craftsman just changed her color to green!
Congratulations on your new saw. I would love to have a sliding table saw in my shop.
Great learning production, I'll follow you from now.
What a beast! Congratulations on the new machine. Ps: your parents rock.
Congratulations on your (now not so) new saw! It's great to have something very good and durable in your shop and as you said, it might sound like a big investment at one time but it'll last you a loooong tome and you'll get a lot of good use out of it.

Hi Marius, well done mate great saw, have fun
Nice slider Marius ! I considered purchasing Felder at one time but ended up going with MiniMax , a division of SCMI, which is an Italian based Co. I ended up with a 5 HP single phase 110 inch model. Budget wise for like features compared to Felder the MiniMax was a better deal and value for me. Haven't regretted my purchase and this was back in 2007. Love the speed, ease and accuracy cutting panels is with these machines. The upgrade from Felder in Germany are the bigger, better and more costly units made by Altendorf and Martin Co's but those are in a whole different price range more suited for industrial production. Hope your enjoying still ! Thanks for sharing your experience !
Like the sponsor joke at the beginning .... Congratulations Marius to the new saw. And I really can confirm everything you said about this saw. My B3 came similarly mounted on a palette, everything worked right out of the box. Even now after a few years when now and then I check the blade and everything for square it is still spot on. I only was lucky that my saw could be moved through the garage so I just had to build a short ramp to pass over two steps to bring them into my workshop. Actually if you check the video on my channel about building the miter saw stand you will see that I incorporated the sliding table into the miter saw design so that I can use it as an extension there. Of course these saws come at a price. But with proper care you will use it easily for 30 if not 40 years.
