Dude, ever played the guitar on your channel? Noticed all those excellent guitars. Would be cool to noodle a few tunes while in autopilot. Also, sunroof, very nice. Good setup. My wife would kill me if I had that. Glad we can enjoy your work.

In VATSIM they dont ask you to go ahead or something, because you are flying IFR. The part with go ahead only exists in VFR comms. If IFRs would also do this, the already very busy frequency would be blocked with even more „useless“ comms.

Aha! Gotchu. I‘m obviously not IFR certified. I do hold the radio license BZF, but airliner vatsim flying sure is different!

@@Swiss001 I thought exactly the opposite thing when I started flight training after already having some hundred hours flying airliners. But if you think about it, it makes sense. Imagine anybody would only say his callsign and then an extra message for the important part of the call at major airports like Frankfurt or Heathrow…

12:53 You are used to flying VFR in germany which means that your first call is just your callsign, but when flying IFR you can start talking straight away for example Hahn tower hallo RYR 2122 ILS runway 21 and you don't need to report your aircraft or where are you from the airport this applies to every call like you are supposed to say Palma approach hello RYR 2122 passing 2100 feet, and i'm 99% sure that it works like that in real life

that is a fair point@@d0m1nu27. i do think his warning was needed, but VATSIM is also a 13 and up community, and its somewhat easy to catch liars, ive heard.

You said that you only say callsign on initial contact in real life. That's the VFR rule. For IFR you say indeed where you are.

Mine is messed up af, i have gaming chair,btv , steering wheel, cables everywhere, joystick... I might do a setup tour on my channel aswell. Great stuff swiss
