Whether it came from the cinematic masterpiece you make out of NY or just your fun-loving spirit there in the city, it was something that was never fully there in CA. Casey I never thought about living in NY.. I quite despised it.. but your iterations of living and being there has seriously opened my mind to enjoying and doing so much more... I have only ever spent 3 days in NY- in the bronx - it was crazy lol... but I am a FL boy - raised in the crazy but you give me light to see the other side... I seriously never saw that side of waking up in the city and enjoying being there like you have and you have seriously pointed new light on my views of big city living 😁 thank you for that!! ❤💜💙💜❤

@@prod.kcsimmons7221 8 months of crappy, cold, miserable weather; then 2 months of mild rainy weather; finally 2 months of good weather. Small window of opportunity to enjoy the city. Downtown is where its at. Hanging out with friends is definitely fun. But lower Manhattan is just about 2.5sq miles. There are 5 boroughs- manhattan is just one of em. Subway/bus transit sucks and is treacherous, you must be alert at all times in case someone attacks you. Road traffic is a nightmare all day, it took me 60 minutes to go 20 blocks yesterday (1 mile in 60 minutes!) Take a bike? It was 25 degrees with blistering winds! Thats why you see Casey biking/skating and working in a tiny radius for his videos, it looks good and is safer) 5 Boroughs: Bronx? Dangerous. Staten Island? Might as well not even count Queens? Fun in diversity but nobody wants to really be there if they could afford manhattan. Queens has the quiet chill life? Why are you even living in NYC if you want the suburb life? 😆 Brooklyn? Dangerous. Manhattan? The only borough worth being in if you come here. The city is not one big party. Just focused on lower manhattan. (I never said Manhattan is cheap) Casey is working in an even tighter area. He is filming around Canal/ Tribeca area a 1 mile radius. This does NOT represent ALL of NYC. Its just a specific bubble. Keep in mind, Casey is RICH. He’s a multimillionaire. He can do a lot of things the average Joe CANNOT. But in that 2-3 month window of good weather (July-September)? Hard to beat hanging out in these areas: Soho, Noho, Chinatown, Tribeca, LES, West Village, and Bowery! Just one? SOHO!

As a native New Yorker, it takes years to truly love this city. I meet people who move here all the time and don't actually get what makes the city special. Yes seeing crazy things in the street but it's also those window washers, or people like Marlan. Casey is one of the few that gets how to show people that side of the city. Welcome home Casey.

This is spot on. Living in NYC my entire life and then as an adult… I didn’t realize how much it was part of me. My husband and I lost our place to a sewage floor (think house fire). We moved right outside the city while we recover (we lost everything). I’m next to the LIRR and a 15 drive from the F… but it’s not the same. My drive is also different. We miss the people, the community. Plan to move back as soon as we are able

@@blasborg yes exactly! Taking a microscope to see some of those really small things things that make the city great. You don't even notice them fully, they happen in the background as you go to work or get coffee and it just becomes part of your life.

When I first started my college in 2016, I discovered Casey's channel, and for the rest of my college years, I would be coming home from college anticipating and watching every one of his vlogs. Ofc, after Casey left for Cali, I kinda stopped following for a while. Not to mention the last few years was hectic, Covid and shit, and I also went through ups and downs, got busy. Now seeing Casey is back in New York City making these old school vlogs again just brings back all of the good vibes. So nostalgic. A lot of things have changed through the years. But one thing that remains the same is how good Casey's New York vlogs are. 2022 is getting better and better.

Welcome back! I myself saw double rainbows in South Korea right before coming to NYC. It was a good omen for me especially when I came to the city with nothing much in my pocket. That memory helped me get through tough times in the city. Beautiful to see it through buildings.

Casey I never thought about living in NY.. I quite despised it.. but your iterations of living and being there has seriously opened my mind to enjoying and doing so much more... I have only ever spent 3 days in NY- in the bronx - it was crazy lol... but I am a FL boy - raised in the crazy but you give me light to see the other side... I seriously never saw that side of waking up in the city and enjoying being there like you have and you have seriously pointed new light on my views of big city living 😁 thank you for that!! ❤💜💙💜❤

@@prod.kcsimmons7221 8 months of crappy, cold, miserable weather; then 2 months of mild rainy weather; finally 2 months of good weather. Small window of opportunity to enjoy the city. Downtown is where its at. Hanging out with friends is definitely fun. But lower Manhattan is just about 2.5sq miles. There are 5 boroughs- manhattan is just one of em. Subway/bus transit sucks and is treacherous, you must be alert at all times in case someone attacks you. Road traffic is a nightmare all day, it took me 60 minutes to go 20 blocks yesterday (1 mile in 60 minutes!) Take a bike? It was 25 degrees with blistering winds! Thats why you see Casey biking/skating and working in a tiny radius for his videos, it looks good and is safer) 5 Boroughs: Bronx? Dangerous. Staten Island? Might as well not even count Queens? Fun in diversity but nobody wants to really be there if they could afford manhattan. Queens has the quiet chill life? Why are you even living in NYC if you want the suburb life? 😆 Brooklyn? Dangerous. Manhattan? The only borough worth being in if you come here. The city is not one big party. Just focused on lower manhattan. (I never said Manhattan is cheap) Casey is working in an even tighter area. He is filming around Canal/ Tribeca area a 1 mile radius. This does NOT represent ALL of NYC. Its just a specific bubble. Keep in mind, Casey is RICH. He’s a multimillionaire. He can do a lot of things the average Joe CANNOT. But in that 2-3 month window of good weather (July-September)? Hard to beat hanging out in these areas: Soho, Noho, Chinatown, Tribeca, LES, West Village, and Bowery! Just one? SOHO!
I was watching your videos years back before the pandemic and before you left NYC and seeing you vlog again takes me back in time to better times, its just warms my heart , ty Casey!
It’s a true breath of fresh air, that the GOAT is back in NYC and posting regularly again. No one else on KZread has your enthusiasm, sense of true joy and storytelling ability.

I stopped watching Casey when he moved California because the videos just didn't feel the same, i'm glad he's back in NYC cause it gives me vibes of simpler times. so much nostalgia
They say what worked 5 years ago may not work today and that you have to constantly be changing but....Casey could do this for 45 years and I'd still watch. Its still working, its still amazing, keep on doing what you love Casey

What have I done for 20 years and you’ll appreciate this Casey… New York City Marathon I know you just ran on Sunday I hope you had a great day! what a great way to celebrate moving back to NYC. I was in for 2020 and I chose 2023 as my resolution so I’ll be running next year and I am planning to move back to NYC by next summer so I can finish my training in Central Park and be living back home…FINALLY🗽🥰

It's so comforting to see Casey back in New York, he's fits in so well to the big energy that's abundant there. When he moved to CA it was like watching a weird new style Green Acres TV show. The NY city boy who's a missfit when put anywhere else. Expensive lesson learned casey, NEVER LEAVE NY AGAIN.

@@hervvernon8911 Or it's his experience. I've had some shitty stuff happen here: been mugged, poor, robbed. But to me, NYC is still magic and I feel the same way he does about living here. I would never want to leave and I am completely in love with this city.

@@HipHopHistoryGuy Lived here all my life. that's the difference. New Yorkers really feel this way, I'm sure you have a place where you feel you belong. Why is it odd that new yorkers feel that way about their town?
Not only is it awesome to see Casey back in New York, but the way he articulates the feeling of his return coupled with his video editing techniques is like no other. Really makes you feel the nostalgia with him

I shed a couple tears at the end. I grew up watching the daily vlogs from you Casey. Went to the city in 2018 and made it a point to stop by your studio. This warms my heart more than words can describe.
It's so amazing to see Casey smile like that. You can feel how happy he is through the screen. It feels like we have been waiting for the rainbow all of this years and its right here, right now, but we can't believe it yet. Like the whole city is comming to say hi. And it feels like home again. It's so heartwarming... Casey, I'm so happy you're back. 💕

Man its truly a great day seeing Casey back on KZread. Missed these amazing vlogs
I've moved out of the city during the hight of covid but seeing you back in nyc has reminded me why I love the city so much. I can't wait for the winter snowy videos like the ones you made snowboarding in time square.
these videos are taking me back to a time i miss a lot.
Casey is one of the greatest storytellers and we all get to witness it.

As a native New Yorker, it takes years to truly love this city. I meet people who move here all the time and don't actually get what makes the city special. Yes seeing crazy things in the street but it's also those window washers, or people like Marlan. Casey is one of the few that gets how to show people that side of the city. Welcome home Casey.

This is spot on. Living in NYC my entire life and then as an adult… I didn’t realize how much it was part of me. My husband and I lost our place to a sewage floor (think house fire). We moved right outside the city while we recover (we lost everything). I’m next to the LIRR and a 15 drive from the F… but it’s not the same. My drive is also different. We miss the people, the community. Plan to move back as soon as we are able

@@blasborg yes exactly! Taking a microscope to see some of those really small things things that make the city great. You don't even notice them fully, they happen in the background as you go to work or get coffee and it just becomes part of your life.
So glad your back Casey. I live on the UES. You FEEL like NYC to me, A NYC GIFT.

When I first started my college in 2016, I discovered Casey's channel, and for the rest of my college years, I would be coming home from college anticipating and watching every one of his vlogs. Ofc, after Casey left for Cali, I kinda stopped following for a while. Not to mention the last few years was hectic, Covid and shit, and I also went through ups and downs, got busy. Now seeing Casey is back in New York City making these old school vlogs again just brings back all of the good vibes. So nostalgic. A lot of things have changed through the years. But one thing that remains the same is how good Casey's New York vlogs are. 2022 is getting better and better.

That school part with Casey’s videos is so true. It was a highlight of my time at school and kept me inspired with my dreams for my future that I can honestly say came true and keep going that direction. Have a great life everyone ✨

any place can be like this if you have his kind of attitude. It's amazing what we can accomplish with stronger human connections. My dad does something similar and something I aspire to do as well. He somehow knows everyone, even when I don't believe him.

Welcome back! I myself saw double rainbows in South Korea right before coming to NYC. It was a good omen for me especially when I came to the city with nothing much in my pocket. That memory helped me get through tough times in the city. Beautiful to see it through buildings.
