Smooth landing! so you have a custom made cockpit? no need for a cooling fan inside for the O3? I use one in my Viper 90 because it overheats rapidly on ground. Can't wait to have my old Freewing L39 back in the air with INAV this time!

Bro where did you get that clear acrylic for the cockpit? Also do you have the files for the 3d printed inlets

Smooth flying and commentary Antonious! The Avanti V2 certainly looks like a great flyer. But the low canopy bow and high instrument panel (as you noted) makes the view out the front look awkward which keeps me from recommending it for FPV. Love your approach and landing. Would be very helpful if you kept the speed OSD for landing. I’d say the Viper 90 would be almost a 10/10 plane if the canopy came clear enough for FPV.

Thank you so much for the compliments! I do love this plane but as you said the issues that come with it makes it a hard plane to suggest for a plug n play scale fpv option - it does require a bit of work to get where I'm at currently - depending on how much time I put into this plane I may come up with a drop in option that can be 3d printed to make a part of the process easier but that doesn't speak to the low canopy bow and the stock windscreen being pretty low vis - Could be a fun project to collab on. I can say this though the BAG was a perfect drop in.

@@AntoniusBlack01 funny you should at that. Once I get this thing programmed via inav my exact plan was to convert to VTOL.......no restrictions on landing so I can explore. However it ain't like my jets which I love. Shame they don't have the same flight times tho 😢

How do you feel about using INAV on an EDF? Is it overkill?

Good question, I really like having INAV for the onscreen telemetry - the flight modes also help in case the weather is super crazy and honestly the auto tune feature takes a lot of the work out of getting your plane right. It makes it easier/faster to get into the air if you’re used to the setup process

@@cwwisk In all honesty it's going to take more of us putting out footage and showing people how accessible this all is. - I've been using INAV like this for scale fpv for years now and I had no idea other people weren't - exposure is key

Arduplane is overkill for stuff like this. INAV I think is perfect. Gives you so much stuff that is very useful for flying but does not require a degree in computer science to setup.
