For me Zerode is the most exciting bike brand for 2024! That electric shifter is such a game changer and finally makes the gearbox system appealing to a wider audience. I hope I get the chance to try one out sometime soon. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it 👍

Any other changes to the frame for this year or just the smart shift? I dig the white, I had a Katipo 3 years ago and it was pretty much perfect, curious if they have tweaked anything else by now.

bike is absolutely stunning But the color choice I wonder how long that will stay white with the trails around the UK😂😂 Plus I wonder if the coil shock is staying my glory had the DHX2 air it left it on for a year didn’t like it so I changed. it for the coil haven’t changed it since I put it on but each to their own

Well, still too much drag for people who will be doing a lot of pedaling as well. I also find the electric shifting that still uses cable to be something out of a sci-fi movie from 1980 to be honest. Personally I still believe we are 15-20 years away at the minimum from seeing a somewhat competitor to a standard drivetrain. The pinion stuff is completely out of the question for me simply because it just adds more drag when I would rather have less, and then you got the extra weight as well. I'm pretty sure you will be doing mostly rolling down hills with that bike, so it might be ok-ish, but for most people more drag to a drivetrain just makes no sense.

I regularly do heavy miles on my gearbox equipped bike with no issues, the drag isn’t noticeable. You know the famous saying don’t knock it till you’ve tried it 👍

@@tommychype If it wasn't noticeable then standard drivetrains would cease to exist and this would be the norm. Drag is the main reason most riders stay away from this. Btw, have you paid for this bike yourself in full or is this a sponsored item?

The drag is a myth. There's more drag from not wearing skin tight clothes than from a gearbox and the reason they're not common is Shimano has a stranglehold on the industry 😆😆

It's a false economy though. A belt driven gearbox will outlast a conventional system multiple times over. It feels expensive initially but years later when you haven't had to spend hundreds of pounds on chains, cassettes and rear mechs you realise how much better off you are.

Gearboxes are the way to go,e bike version for me,i just havent got 3 zillion quid for it 😂
