Great car. But in what world is this top spec? Barring DCC, it's missing every decent option (PP, Dynaudio, Discover Pro, Pan Roof, Reversing Camera, Leather, 19s).

I’ve just sold my MK7.5 after 4 years (same colour etc). Best car I’ve had. Never any problems with it. Goes through front tyres like no one’s business mind you but it’s brilliant.

I'd defo recommend the TCR backbox with a res delete - my local dealership said because it's an OEM part it doesnt void the warranty. Got one fitted atm and its the best exhaust without changing the cat IMO

Should have gone for the gti performance - 7 speed - better mpg, no drone, brakes and lsd too make a big difference & faster! - but still nice I was in the same position as I wanted the dsg farts of the 6 speed but wasn’t worth the trade offs imo.

6 speed is still quicker as its pre GPF. This means its more tunable and gets better figures stage 1 and a little quicker stock, even if the peak figures look similar have a look at all videos with them racings in the ea888 the GPF model is slower.. Though i dont know if the 7 speed is worth that trade off. might be a better box to live with. never had the 7 speed.

Vw really stepped up their game with the mk7. I prefer the drivetrain of the R but the GTi looks so much better imo.

the dq381 is a better gearbox, and the normal gti doesnt have an electronic diff and smaller brakes. id have personally got a cupra, it comes with it all from factory and it has an is38 and you would have gotten a lot more for your money.

Nice colour on that, low mileage too. That’s not a top or high spec gti though. For a MK7.5 that is basically base spec.

Dq381 is better on fuel & can overall hold more torque than the dq250, I thought all 7.5s came with the dq381 as standard?

I thought the same. I thought dq250s were the PFL 6 speed dsgs and the 381s were the 7 speeds in the face lifts. I just double checked online and I’m certain that’s how it is. The only difference with the performance pack is the LSD in the front and 10bhp

There’s a crossover where some 2017/2018 7.5 models got the 6 speed and no OPF. That’s what I have now.

the problem with dq200 is stock software i absolutly hated that gearbox i have is20 to see if the gearbox will hold the torque then move to is38 315hp and 410nm on stock clutch
