Love your energy and motivation! I'm 70 and never had help with cleaning my home, but lately I have hired my granddaughter to help a few days a month. I'm blessed to have her help!

I am seventy-five years old almost marking off that 5. lol I do all things I did at 22 years old but not all done in one day for this old lady., Now moving in about 35 days to be nearer family hubby not in the best of health. This packing things is really hard for me too. but I do a little everyday.,
The moment when you told us about your apron pocket i smiled...my mum use to do that when we were little. I am also one of six kids and grew up on a farm.those were the best days of my life
I’ve watched your channel for years and have been recently binging your videos. I’ve gotten so much inspiration from you. Thank you. ALSO, *You’re hair looks sooooo cute in a bun*

I do that quarantine style declutter with my son but my apartment is small with little storage space to hide things so I put the stuff in the trunk of my car for a few weeks before taking it to donate. If he freaks out and realizes something is missing then I can just go get it, if he doesnt then its all ready in the car to take to donation lol. 90% of the time he never notices the forgotten toy.
My cleaning product is vinegar + water. Works for nearly everything! Thanks, Lisa. Your home feels inviting.

Same. Sometimes I brew some herbal "tea" to scent it (like lemonbalm that I trim but thats a little too old to want to use for drinking). Great for EVERYTHING
Thank you for sharing what you use that is homemade and environmentally sound to be using.
We have 40 acres and a large Sea Can for storage of things we don't want in the house. I didn't get rid of my kids toys. Now they're all vintage and my little grandchildren are playing with them. The quality of the old toys tops what's being made now. I'm so happy I kept them.

Me too! Love the old Fisher-Price little people toys!
A good seasonal clean feels so therapeutic
I love all of your natural cleaning recipes. I make some of my own, but never would have thought of adding salt. I hate to throw you a curve ball, but steam cleaning wood floors is a huge no-no! Over time, it can/will warp them. Also, never use vinegar on wood floors because it will strip the urethane. After researching how best to clean and preserve my almost-100-year-old wood floors, I decided to use a Bona mop, together with their solution designed specifically for wood floors. Whoever refinished your wood floors did such a beautiful job that I would hate to see them messed up. (Hilary, of Old World Home, also uses a Bona mop.) Steam cleaners are great for ceramic tile floors. ❤
I am always finding cardboard and paper scraps in my kids’ rooms too! They make all these things and want to keep it all, so I keep the best things and secretly toss the rest and they never notice! Lol.
I don't use cleaning products on glass. I simply use a water dampened microfiber cloth to clean the glass, then a dry microfiber cloth to dry the glass. Other than smudges from children or pets, which I clean individually, I need to clean my windows less often. Any product whether it's a vinegar based or alcohol based, will leave an unseen residue which actually attracts particles to the glass. I do love using lemon juice though for goopy messes, water spots, or copper pots, and it smells nice too. Thank you for another refreshing and wholesome video. Take care of yourself. 🌻
I weare apron every day for the house and the garden. It really avoide stain on my clothing. Thanks so much for taking time to share tips.
I use vinegar for almost everything. On occasion I’ll use soapy water for certain things. For tougher jobs I’ll break out the baking soda. It’s extremely rare I’ll use any sort of “cleaning product” that I have to buy aside from those simple ingredients I also use to cook, do laundry, wash hands, etc.

And of course you can add essential oils to make it smell nicer. :)
I really appreciated the natural cleaning supplements you shared, sometimes it's just not necessary to use all those harmful chemicals in your living space.
My son has a bazillion pieces of cardboard in his room! He is constantly cutting it up and making things (he keeps me busy with hot gluing it together haha!). I love how he is so creative but it drives me crazy with it everywhere!
I used to have several sets of French doors. They’re beautiful but I absolutely do not miss cleaning them!
Missed this vid! Happy to have found it! Aprons are everything - like baskets they are part of the American women's history! Thank-you!
Lisa, I made your new sourdough bread recipe and I was absolutely blown away from the results. I've tried so many other recipes and never got it something so delicious and easy.

I started using grove when Lisa first introduced it in her channel and still order from Grove but I found a new love for cleaning My hard wood floors, walls, ceilings and windows is Norwex! Just the product with water is all you really need to get everything clean! I truly love it how I don’t have to carry a mop bucket around.

Thank you Lisa! Natural cleaners 😀🌸
love, love, love your decor and style of furniture
Thanks Lisa, you’re my fav for cooking, cleaning and it’s because you’re a realist and so down to earth. Blessings to you and yours.
Your living room is so pretty! I love how the rug coordinates with your furniture and floors. Thanks for the tips 😊 Anne
I remember going through an intense minimalist period and I got rid of all my spatulas except one 🤣 I definitely regretted that because I like having at least two.
Love your channel, Lisa! I'm super holistic so this video really spoke to me. Thank you SO much! -Leslie
You just mentioned my favourite things about Marie Kondo and the minimal mom too🥰🥰thanks for sharing xxoo
cleanam an empty nester but you are such an inspiration for home making even fir us who don't have children to clean up after.
I very much enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and ideas.
I love all of your videos but would love to watch one on how you use/clean/keep your butcher block cutting board!
Your home and approach for cleaning is so relatable to me as a homeschooling family of 5 who lives on a farm in Texas. Our home just does not stay spotless because my kids and husband are constantly in and out and bringing in dirt and such. And don't get me started on the dog hair! I "enjoy" watching videos with an impossibly clean and minimal aesthetic (you know the ones. The ones that look like one actually lives there) but it leaves me feel frustrated when my home can't keep up with that standard. It is chasing something that isn't realistic and it is easy to forget that homes are there to serve US and they will get banged up and messed on in the process. It's normal for it not to be 100% spotless all the time Thanks, Lisa for showing how to you care for a REAL and BEAUTIFUL home!
Soooo good! I love my Shark too!

Thanks for the tips
Sticky hand prints and stickers on walls, pictures draw fingers on steamy windows, pen scribbled messages on favourite books, all become heartwarming treasures when made by grandchildren. X
It’s one of the few luxuries I talked Avi into. Two gals come and deep deep clean, but not the kids rooms. We gave them life, we’ll count them cleaning their own rooms towards the 15 years of hard labor they owe us! 😇
Lovely,wish I had your energy.!love your home
Thank you for telling us about the Grove. Did not realize about the color coordination 🤷♀️
ANOTHER GREAT ONE! So very glad you use doTerra!!! Woooohoooo!!! I'm a doTerra cheerleader, too!! I LOVE IT!
Love the mint colored spay bottle☺️ I also love your French doors🤍 I always feel like I am cleaning my stove😫Violet cooks now, so it gets used even more 😂 your stove is my favorite 🤍🥰
So many great tips! Thank you for sharing your life and beautiful home with us, Lisa. You are truly inspirational woman and a blessing to so many people! If it is possible, I woud love to see a video on your clothes, how do you wash them, also do you hang them in the sun or do you have a dryer? Maybe some advice for natural detergent for laundry and fabric softener? Thank you in advance, sending prayers and love from big fan from Croatia ❤️🙏
This is great, thanks!

Thanks so much for the lemon essential oil tip. I used lemongrass and it got crayon out of the walls. I use almost all natural products but I almost caved and bought magic erasers. After watching your videos I decided to try the citrus and yep- worked like a charm. Thanks again 😊 I love your videos and congratulations on new baby. Hope you're enjoying it and getting lots of help. 🍁🌄❤️
Love the sink
I put the lemon in my tea I love it
I'd like to try the salt and baking soda cleaner. I usually don't add the salt so I'd like to see if there is a noticable difference👍 Thanks Lisa for all your tips today!!
I'm new to your channel, but I really enjoy watching your videos! You are an inspiration to several areas in my life, personally, that I am seeking to pursue; homeschooling, homesteading, and making more meals from scratch. Thank you for sharing your heart for these important things, and I pray that God continues to bless you and your beautiful family! I also LOVE your blue sofa! I've been looking for a sofa like that for a long time, but it's hard to find the blue, 3- section, roll arm with caster legs! It's beautiful. You have a lovely home and a good eye!
Your house must smell absolutely delicious 😋
Just pulled out the robot vac for the first time in a while for use ONLY in the kitchen.... currently charging up... lol. It doesn’t work great for big spaces, but getting the crumbs up in the kitchen is a gift. Totally a great suggestion thanks much! 💚
I have really sensitiv lungs right now...and oh my god. The scrub is amazing! It helped sooo much. And no coughing!!! (I only had orange. But it still worked!)
I own 6 shark vacuum cleaners obsessed much I love an apron to clean with....great idea. Picking up things to put back in there natural spot
SHARED TO THE BURGH! GOOD TIPS
This is so random, Lisa, but what is the song that begins playing in the background around 4:38? Haha sorry, but I'm a wedding videographer and am always on the hunt for beautiful background music! 😅 Also, you've inspired me to finally pull the trigger and order some essential oils! We have 5 kids under 7 years old and can never have too many yummy smells to mask the diapers and food spills around here. 😅
You have done such a beautiful job with your home. I’m off to make a lemon eo cleaner 😍
Love this video❤️

Great Video Lisa, I clean homes ( tho on break due to major surgery). I do use some more harsh chemicals and have been researching more natural products during my recovery . I like the essential oils and have just started using them. A big fan!! So when I am able, I will try some of your recipes for my own home. Dawn is awesome... I started minimizing in 2019. Not as far as Dawn. I believe that a house should feel like a home and look loved. Special objects still remain. But clutter is gone and it brings that sense of relief. 10 minute tidy is always possible. Your home is basically my dream home. So thank you for what you share with us. ❤️Leslie

Praying for a speeding recovery for you🙏. Have you checked out Lisa's sisters channel? She has lots of natural cleaners on her channel.
My recent recipe that I like is baking soda and a 2 tablespoon of sal suds or you can do castile soap. Dissolve the baking soda in water then add the soap and fill up the bottle the rest of the way with water
Wow I didn’t realize how cool you’re home is!!!! Love the curved staircase... Your kitchen sink is really cool too... How’s Trouble doing (Daniel)😂😂😂
I have a steam cleaner for my wooden floors. I add lemon and teatree essential oils to the water.
Robot vacuum has saved my sanity! Pulling out the big vacuum is hard with my disability but I can't stand a dirty floor. I'll even run it several times in one area if I think it missed anything.
I make a vinager and lemon peels or orange peels I let it sit for a month and dilute it in a cleaning bottle and I use essential oils to
I use the same mixture to clean the glass around here, I just found out that soap can actually cause smudges.
Thank you for sharing! Love you videos, could you do a specific video without milk products? I think that would be awesome, its so hard to bake without butter and milk
For scrubbing, have you ever tried a cut lemon dipped in kosher salt. Just scrub away.
I love to use orange essential oil like you use lemon
Nothing beats a squeegee on glass for streak free shine. Nothing!
i was always told steam cleaners and vinegar would dull or damage wood floors
@carolmiller8811

True! Steam should NEVER be used on wood floors! The steam will warp them and vinegar will strip the sealant (urethane). I use a Bona mop and their cleaning solution on mine. Steam is good for ceramic tile.

Yeah I was wondering about that. I was told not to use a steam mop on my wood floor.
You have "mom hands" like me! My husband always talks about how crazy hot the water is when I'm cleaning. Doesn't even phase me! 🤷🏾♀️😂
Love natural cleaning. I love good ole' vinegar and water with a bit of dawn dish soap and lemon essential oil. I love the rug in your living room - where is it from?
Hola me encata lo que haces tienes una familia verdadera 😍tengo tanto que aprender de ty eres un gran ejemplo❤podrias ponerle subtítulos en español ...gracias
Where are your cutting boards from? So cute for decor but also serve a great purpose!
Lisa, can you share how you clean your stove and oven? On a side note, do you sometimes see kind of a white film on your dishes with the natural lemon soap you are using?
I'm new to your channel and am loving the content your putting out. What are the beautiful blue plates on the wall?
I also use vinegar for EVERYTHING. Any tips on buying in bulk? Best we’ve found is waiting for the best sale on the large jugs from our grocery store
What is the source of the background music? Is the blue sofa new? Pretty! Thank you ever so much for sharing the love of your home....
I love aprons for the same reason and it protects my clothes
Just an FYI. I have wood floors and was told never to use steam.
Woman after my own heart.....I love aprons too. It’s like having extra hands!
Shark ♥️
Try "a Ben a qui" cleaner all organic I mean this stuff is amazing takes pine sap off your hands you can find it on Amazon all natural no toxic chemicals better than mystery eraser
Windows 🪟 yes 🤦🏽♀️☺️ me also! Ugh
Do you do make your own laundry soap and fabric softener? Have binge watched a few of your videos, found you in a Sourdough search. 🥰 Love your videos.

Careful with lemon on walls - it’ll strip your paint 🤣😅 I’ve done this many times lol
lol the kids rooms! my kids have a single (not large) storage box each that they can keep their personal items in. and they can keep as much garbage as they want, but every personal thing they own has to fit in that box and if there's something they want to keep, they have to make room for it.
Hey Lisa! Your wooden floors look incredible!!

Good evening. .thx for ur tips..😍 I use rubbing alcohol on glass and windows, diluted in spray bottle with water.. my mom taught me that trick yrs ago..( she clns homes for a living.).she also says Sharks are the best vacuums.😊 now on ur essential oils do they have to be food grade is there such a thing? I buy them to put in my diffuser, and thought of doing deodorant and other things, but not unsure if they are all/kinds ok?
Lisa, gonna subscribe again. I like when you do you and not try to to film or decorate like other KZread friends. 🙂

Hi liza... i cannot make the dropchloth white... watched your vlog many times and followed your tips but still not work... i bought dropchloth from amazon qnd walmart...it failed also.. maybe i need to use the same brand as you used... i hope you find time to reply i really wanted to make a sofa cover.. Hi Lisa. Enjoyed the video. I have a quick question...when adding an essential oil to a cleaning mixture, does it leave an oily feel to whatever it is you’re cleaning?

A good quality essential oil will never leave an oily residue after it evaporates. You could pour it on a silk blouse and you shouldn't be able to tell after it dries.
Hola, subtítulos en español please, saludos de Chile
