When I first started watching Kdramas I noticed a lot of bullying but learned that Korea has a really big problem with bullying, and it’s usually power controlled too, like if the bullies parents are powerful(money), the bullied is pretty hopeless bc the schools reputation is on the line so it’s usually overlooked, and the bullied is usually less rich(?), “ugly” (according to Korean beauty standards) so they are usual targets. Also kids that have parental issues(divorce, etc) also get bullied.. I’ve heard so many horrible stories of bullying cases in Korea (the glory is based on one of them)

this is so sad to see bc i have a father that was in a gang before coming to america too, probably doing all sorts of dangerous things. i mean, i even found a katana stashed away in his room once so.. i cant imagine how violent and scary his life has been. he left korea though, married my mom, quit smoking, and took care of us growing up. even though i wasnt raised w the best parenting, im so glad he got himself out of this life before something rlly bad happened to him. such a realistic drama especially for people that can relate :'[ it's especially sad that people like this, in gangs and smoking, usually do so bc their situation is so bad.
