I had similar questions when I was a kid, like why Allah created a fly?, (it's so annoying), but of course there is a reason and wisdom behind every creation of the creator, doesn't matter if you know it or not, every creature has a role in the ecosystem once you learn and dive deeply you'll understand. Pigs are so important for their scavenging and cleaning, the wild ones play a key role for forests flourishing .

As a none westerner, I always wondered how can some western people justify this behavior where ones spouse will watch another man sleep with his spouse. And people have alway attacked me and say nothing wrong as long as is consensual. Now I wonder it might just be from eating too much pig 😬. I'm from West Africa by the way and many Christians don't eat pork in my country back when i was young now they are starting to be influenced by westerner and the consumption is rising. Just like pre marital relationship was not normal and looked down upon even one Christian communities now, it's becoming more and more common but not nearly as bad/common as in western countries.

That is worrying you think like that. In Islam a big part of our religion is to respect and love our parents especially our Mothers whether they are Muslim or not this does not change. If Rebecca’s mother prevents Rebecca in anyway being a practicing Muslim it would be for Rebecca to make a decision that she may choose to limit her interaction with her mother however her mother seems to bring out the best in her and is comfortable with her being a Muslim.
