I’ll never forget the first time I smelled Bal A Versailles. I was on a cruise in 1973 and an elegant lady was wearing it. I purchased a bottle in the gift shop that very day and wore the fragrance for many years. The current formulation is a shadow of its former self.

I love watching your videos because you can easily tell that you actually wear your fragrances and they are not just paperweights for display. Thanks for the amazing content that you provide and I’m happy to see your videos again.

I have to get a bottle of Bal à Versailles. My mother used to wear that one often when I was growing up. Back in the 80s and 90s that one was a beast! I could smell it in her room 3-4 hours after she had sprayed. Like Bouquet Ideale, but I barely smell it on me. Pretty sure others can though.

You truly are my favourite reviewer Sam. I have been watching fragrance reviews for over ten years now and I am subscribed to many channels. I know that when i watch one of your reviews I am getting a considered, researched and eloquent summary of the fragrances you feature. As a man I appreciate your opinions and especially your androgynous approach to scent. Both my wife and i watch your channel and appreciate your honesty very much. Some wonderfully described fragrances and i hope to try them sometime. Here’s hoping 2024 brings you joy and happiness.

Loved learning/seeing the bottles 😮…mine IMO (being a newbie to collecting), would be Salvatore Ferragamo’s La Corte (a gorgeous Lily fragrance); and then simply, Dior’s Pure Poison - wearing them casts a magic spell, I swear!

Happy new year! Nuit Andalouse is sooo good. There is something about it that makes me sniff my tshirt neck everytime I wear it. And as a Spaniard there is something definitely nostalgic about it.

@@MyWorldofFragrance Apres Londee was my choice. I wanted something softer with violet, and the idea sounded so beautiful. I feel I made the perfect choice! It came in the other day and I'm already in love with it! It'll definitely be one that I'll turn to quite a lot especially with the spring coming in soon...in all honesty I'd probably wear it year round. 😂

that bottle of First is awesome! I don't have any really opulent bottles... the closest it gets for me is the princessy vibe of some Juicy Couture bottles, I think. but that's different from what you showed off. unsure if I have any that I'd consider opulent scents! I'm not usually into that sort of thing, but I'd really like to try First.

This is off topic but-- your eyeshadow color is very elegant

Those are some impressive looking bottles. I think my favourite is Bal à Versailles. Pity the juice is animalic - it's not a fragrance style I care for.
