My Most Expensive Art Haul Ever... $750 😳
Ойын-сауық
I this this is my most expensive art haul ever. I've been on a mission to use up my art supplies, and I was almost out of a lot of paint colors, canvases, and other things. I also bought new art supplies to try. Spent a lot of money, but I rarely buy art supplies, and I desperately needed to restock. We have some fun, creative videos coming soon! Anyway, enjoy this fun little hang out video!
You'll get some sneak peeks of recent art projects (and the reason why I am running out of paint lol).

@@Blick_Art I'm just starting out buying art supplies and I'm going to check your store out.
That may have been a massive art haul dollar-wise, but you really didn't buy an overwhelming amount of supplies. Good paint and canvas is expensive! I'm glad you restocked. The sneak peak of the poppy field makes it look like an amazingly beautiful painting. Looking forward to that video! ❤
The “art supply” i’m obsessed with right now is Crayola Air Clay. The concept is like air dry clay, but when the ‘clay’ is dry, it’s like a spongy/foam-like material. So lightweight, but kinda hard to work with, so I’m still experimenting with it
I’m new to your channel and I have felt so inspired by you, I did art for a long time and after being hard on myself for so long I eventually quit bc I felt my art was bad. That was 2 years ago. And because of your videos I felt inspired enough to take a first step and buy a new sketchbook, I decorated it, and I even made a small watercolor painting. Thank you for helping me get back into art when I felt so far from it❤

I can’t wait to see how you will use those oil sticks. And the paintings you’ve been working on 😍😍 beautiful ! I’ve been exploring a new watercolor style, very loose and I’m loving it. Thanks for sharing this art haul 🥰
I'm excited to see more of that poppy field painting, its gorgeous! This was a really fun video, I found an old blank sketchbook with like fifty pages or so and gave myself a little art challenge to fill it before the end of the month, so thank you for some bg noise as I doodled (also strawberry picky is soooooo good lol)

So glad you are feeling inspired which means lots of cool videos coming up! Enjoy your new supplies. Can't wait to see what you create. Right now I'm experimenting with blending water-based markers using a damp paint brush. BTW, I feel bad for all the YT artists I follow that have to spend time explaining themselves to all the nit-picky 'Karens' that have to find something to complain about. Anyone who follows you knows you don't waste paint! Sheesh.
Please please do an underwater ocean scene. They are my favorite and you have never done one. Like a full on painting. Love your art so much

@MiraByler We should collectively email both businesses and get them to expand 😅 I'm in Indiana (central) and the closest I think is in Chicago. I'm SUPER excited to see how you'll use those oil sticks. I got several a couple years ago and haven't really used them 😕. Looking forward to all your new videos.
I really love those Golden So Flat Matte paints for underpainting and backgrounds. Here's some unsolicited tips..lol 1- they have to be stirred well, or else they won't be as bright. 2 - they are low viscosity and self levelling, so I use directly from the pot or pour out some in a cup. My butcher tray only makes them run like water and they dry up. Just a couple of things I've learned from using them.
I LOVE that big painting you showed in the end!! I’m so excited for the video on that! Can’t wait to see what beautiful stuff you will create on those canvases!
Guuuuurl if I lived near a Blick store I would be BROKE all the time. SO glad they’re nowhere near me. I’ve ordered from them before but that makes me go “Ehhh do I REALLY need x x x…” So yeah. There’s that. …now I wanna go buy supplieesssss (I bought sparkly crayons at Dollar Tree so that quieted the craving but aaaaaaaa)
Oh! I've also heard that if you mix with neon paint you can get much brighter colour mixes.
I recently did an entire painting in neon! It was a lot of fun but the paint kinda sucked so I had to paint the black canvas white first, then use SO many layers to get any kind of colour payoff.
My best friend gave me a yellow pillow cover for my last birthday and said „you can definitely do something creative with it!“ and now I finally tackled it! I’m still new to this but I managed to embroider some flowers and my favorite Narnia quote „courage dear heart“ 🤗
I sometimes think about pencils I want to buy and the price scares me away from them. Yet when it comes to buying paint, it is so easy to spend way more than a set of premium brand pencils and I don't have a second thought. I would love to try Golden Acrylics. I never see it where I am though (Australia). I stopped painting in Acrylics because of frustrations I had with cheaper paints and started using oils more. Golden could win me back...
Every water painting you do just gets better and better. Thanks for the chat/haul video. I needed this today, so chill and always makes me smile 🥰
Another topper for the butcher trays is the premade covers that look like shower caps in ziplock area at Dollar tree

Oh my gosh!!! I love thé poppy painting! It looks amazing! I also am inspired by your cheerful way of eating!
Yay for art supplies! My random update: I spent the evening formatting and organizing and finally printing coloring stickers for my bullet journal 😊 I use them as to-dos; the sticker gets colored in when the task is done--which sure is motivation =P
I'm with you on the water paintings. I love water, and that big one you have behind you is one of my favourites. Looking forward to all these "projects" you have going on.
Love the coffee painting and CA landscape. Super nice!

Can't wait to see more of the sneak peek paintings. They are wonderful! Thanks for sharing your creative world. Love your vids.
I love your artwork, and you inspire me so much. I hope to be like you when I grow up!❤❤
Wow, amazing art! enjoy your new stuff well deserved!!
Love when I get the notification of a new video from you. You are so relatable and inspiring (though I've been having an art block for quite some time now) Your pieces are fun and quirky, and always turn out so amazing. Looking forward to seeing what you do with everything in this haul. As for the cake pans and wire, with your love of all plants, I was wondering if you are doing something that will incorporate plant frames (not sure what they are called exactly but it's where you hang a bunch of plants vertically on the wall). Also, Mira would you ever consider doing some moody paintings, like landscape or flowers? I'm so into that style and would love to see your take.
Hello , Love your work so very much. I'm getting ready to vend at a Farmers market, for all summer, and like yourself, using what I have to make stuff. Some crochet, stickers, cards, mini prints, now I'm into making mini paper journals with my scraps and painting zentangle flowers for the covers. Someday I will go to Blicks, it's in Kansas City and I live in the country. But I can't wait. Keep doing what you are doing. Love it and it has inspired Ideas for my KZread Cannel. Love and Hugs.
I love the way your art is going. They are amazing!!!!
Lovely video, love seeing art hauls. I recently got pastel pencils, recycled paper, ink, paper pads, paintbrush and sheet of lino/rubber to crave things into
You inspire me to paint!! I am new to painting and love to watch your videos.

I love you Mira, you are so inspiring to me.
I love the Golden So Flat paint. They are my absolute favorite! I hope you like them.
Your new paintings are so beautiful! I had a little art splurge yesterday and bought two new etchr hotpress sketchbooks, some Watercolor full pans in blues and reds, some brushes, and a porcelain palette. 😄💜
My newest art supplies is posca pens 😊 started with thin liners of black and white and decided to dive on to use them more in some projects
I love your poppy painting. Its gorgeous.
That giraffe painting is beautiful!
I recently did an Easter egg tree. Made lil charms out of shrink plastic. Used Posca paint pens and added a lil dome using Modge Podge Dimensional Magic. One side had glitter and the other side was clear. It was a lot of experimenting to color the other side. It all turn out well and folks loved it. The modge Podge created a lovely smooth texture turning the charms into mini worry stones. Love your work! Glad you've had a creative spurt to keep on painting. My fav of yours recently was the giraffe and the thrift store "ivy?" leaves painting in the frame. I even used your smudge on a thrift frame, too!
I have been using fluorescent paints in my work for a few months now in working on the fourth painting in a series but I have found that I just love the vibrance that it brings to a piece

Good for you!
I LOVE the Golden SoFlat acrylic paint! I've actually just added 3 more shades to my collection, so I could finish a painting I've started weeks ago. Still haven't finished it, because I've started a watercolour painting on a watercolour painting board, to try it and that's not done, yet. But I'm motivated to finish it :)
I was dreaming about painting last night. So watching this today feels quite appropriate. The last painting I did was a Blue macaw for my boyfriend.
I would love to see a video of you doing 5 ways to fill a sketch book floral edition.❤❤
Omg that Poppy painting!
My birthday was Monday so I got some new canvas panels and paper, some detail brushes and both Liquitex and Golden acrylic paints!! I've never used Golden, only Liquitex!! I'll have to see how I like them!!
I just got Jazz's Pro sketch kit, I am working on learning and praticing sketching and drawing to improve my skills so that I can create my own art. Right now I am a colorist and learning everything about adult coloring and then convert that to my own work with mixed media. Oh I recently purchased Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils for my birthday I have not opened them yet and I am excited to get to open on May 10th
Would love to try oil sticks myself one day. When I can afford a set. Look forward to seeing what you create and what your experience is like with the oil sticks.
The ocean scene could be like what you did recently on your Starbucks cup, but do it on a bigger scale. I would be so happy.

I would LOVE to do that!!! I need to find/take some reference photos. I may have some footage I can use on my GoPro! Thanks for reminding me haha
I love these chit-chat videos! I recently got oil pastels and neocolor 2s. I have done some experimenting with the neocolor 2, but am kinda scared to use the pastels...not sure why! Still getting into a groove with art and improve skills, I have a goal to start selling art later this year!
I am going to guess the pans and wire are for a chicken coop. You are going to get chickens!
Cake pans, wire mesh & contact paper = stepping stones! Maybe. 🤔
I just discovered pastel paper like fine sandpaper, cheaper than pastelmat, though I haven’t bought it yet cos I want to check which colours of Inktense blocks to get to add just a few like light blue turquoise to the pan palette. A few other things too but it’s a been a few weeks so I don’t remember (health is a bit screwy, it gets in the way). With cheaper pastel paper that’ll grab it well, I can use them more freely. I can blend and take more care on plainer paper, but it takes more effort when energy is low so I end up not doing it much at all, which is a shame.
I've been working on investing in natural fiber yarns instead of the cheap craft store acrylics that were all I could afford for so many years. No shade to craft store acrylics! I'm just more into making wearable clothes right now and they aren't my preferred medium for that. I had a big haul at my local yarn store of their winter clearance colors and got a ton of really nice cottons for a really good price. I'm excited to be able to donate some of the acrylics I know I'm less likely to use for someone else to be able to use!

I'm working on making a YT watercolor series and starting a small art business. I'm experimenting with prints and stickers right now! Honestly You inspired me so much!
Great haul. I have a $125 haul worth from michaels i still haven't gotten into yet. But I have guache to try which will be fun. I use a deviled egg tray that has a lid for a pallet. It leaves the paint still wet for several days after.
I've never seen oil paint sticks like that, looking forward to a video where you use them! good im glad to see you not wasting the paint : )
Those oil sticks look really cool! Unless they’re just fancy oil pastels 😳👀😂
I put mine in small cups and put it in the fridge. Heat makes paint dry... so in the fridge I can keep a mixed color around for a month or so.
Love watching your videos. The water paintings are amazing. Have you ever painted rain and or puddles? Another idea is a lightening storm over the ocean at night. I have seen that in person and it’s absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to see what you paint next! ❤

how cool!!!! love your outfit. I just ordered two of the coloring books you and Chloe Rose have done videos on as well as some more color pencils. I didn't use to be a big art person but started using it for therapy a lot more once I started grad school. I want to get some canvases to paint on too and so many other things. What are your favorite supplies and work you've done?
Twins’ first birthday?? Like a themed birthday party. That’s my first guess!
I’m currently working on my year of embroidery piece with a border of the temperature highs and lows of each day in color swatches
Someday I’ll haul that kind of investment. Currently, the most I’ve spent at anything given time on an art purchase was apx $330 on pan pastels (so luscious). I’m looking forward to this summer when I have time to better play w/them.
Where do you get your butcher trays and lino square? Also your spray bottle. I just got some Amsterdam Acrylic paint and some square canvases. My mom is in a nursing home and I want to do a painting to make her space more homey. I'm really excited about this project.
Well, although I'm not as creative as I use to be back in the day. I've been working on something I call time capsule journals which are basically scrapbook memorializing happy memories in my life sort of a farewell to my younger days I'm hoping to have them completed for my 40th birthday next year.
I would be in so much trouble if I was near a Blick. I have to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to one. My guess on your mystery supplies is some sort of paint pour. Let's go!

Old muddy blob paint is also great to cover canvases you're going to paint over anyways and I agree it's great for sketchbook art. Use it as pops of color If u catch the paint early enough before it hardens too much you can thin it out some. It does makes me sad Mira has to explain to ppl she doesn't waste paint. She bought it.
