Guys, 8 months ago, I commented on this video thanking you all for 100,000 views, and here I am again to thank you all for getting this video to 1,000,000 views! This is absolutely amazing! When I first started this channel, I never thought I would ever get anything over 1,000 views, let alone 10,000, 100,000 and now 1,000,000. I know I've not been uploading, but life has happened and I'm incredibly sorry for that, but I have only one year left of college before I have more free time than I know what to do with so look forward to perhaps something special then! I know that a lot of you are upset that I haven't been uploading, and other people even telling others that I've died and am in a coma as of current; so I'm sorry about that! Like I said, life has happened and I can't find any time for anything anymore, but thank you, to everyone who has subscribed, and watched my videos! Your support means the world to me and I promise, sometime in the next year, I will thank you all properly! Thank you, Chris 'Haribo' Harrison :)

how to do the sudoku puzzle? here's how: step 1: draw out the net of a 3x3 cube. step 2: solve the sudoku puzzle on each face according to the cube's stickers. (each face will have a definite number in the middle, therefore you will have somewhere to start. step 3: once all the sudoku is solved, assign every face with the numbers on it to a color. once you have done this, it won't be harder to solve than a regular 3x3 rubix cube.

Just what I wanted to say. Probably the goal of the puzzle is actually that you put 9 different numbers on the each side so that they are all in the same direction, and if that's the case it isn't actually that hard. Also I don't know if colors have any meaning on this cube.

Yes, these are all challenging, but the MOST difficult puzzles are ones that you dont KNOW what the final shape, order, or form is. If you have a single winning combination, you can imagine or flowchart that and try to reverse engineer the process to get to it. This type of game theory is often used by military strategists, where the only way you know you have won is not from reaching a destination or capturing a prisoner, but when the enemy stops fighting back. You have no idea what the requirements for that are except to kill as many as you can,but they could be killing more of yours while you count the bodies. Also, 'double blind' puzzles, where you don't know the final form NOR the pieces you have to work with , or they change shape/ color, can be MADDENNING.

David A It's really a blanket term, Im sure you already have many double blind challenges. Chess is an open format, you know the outcome, what players you have and what players your opponent has..a game like battleship is single blind, you dont know what combination your opponent has on the board, BUT there is a single guaranteed outcome for the winner, allowing him to play strategically based on this win. Many CARD games are double blind, where you don't know what cards youre getting nor your opponents cards, NOR do you know what the winning combination is, because whatever you have, your opponent can almost ALWAYS get a better hand. Scrabble is double blind. There are many video puzzle games with double blind or changing parameters, making them extremely challenging, but calculus is based on changing values, so if you look close enough, all games are based on math principles, and if you can figure out the math, your chances of solving the puzzle increases.

  • @WritingFighter

People have long forgotten that these are puzzles that are designed to be solved without knowing what to do. You aren't supposed to know the 'trick' on how to solve it and then see how fast you can realign it. You are supposed to approach it like a riddle and figure out the logic behind it rather than a trial-by-error. Sure, anyone can solve a basic Rubik's cube when you are told how it works. Then it's just a matter of memorization and nimble fingers. That's what I like about my cousin's Rubik's cube solving. He took a Rubik's cube many years ago, with no instructions, no teachers, no help, and in his bedroom figured it out; he actually solved the Rubik's cube. Those people who think they have "solved" it can see it in his methodology because he's taken it apart logically and uses unusual methods for solving them and it confuses people who know the tricks. I'm guessing the egg, maze cube and Sudoku cube have something similar; if you solve the logic behind it, you do away with trial-and-error issues. [Edit: Showing my cousin, he said the Sudoku puzzle would be easier to solve than the egg and the maze because number an alignment sequence is there.]

Actually, the sodoku cube isn't all that difficult. I've solved one and I'm no master solver (I wouldn't know what to do with a 4x4x4, let alone a 4x4x6). The trick is to look at how the numbers are aligned on the individual corner and edge pieces (i.e. in line, at an angle to each other or facing the opposite direction). By doing so you can figure out where they would have to be on the solved cube because of how all the numbers of any given side must be facing the same direction. Some edge pieces will seem interchangeable, but you can figure out their positions and which layer needs which centre piece by solving the remaining 'sodoku', which should be easy enough by then. The only slight bit of trouble I had was getting the last centre piece to face the right direction (which of course wouldn't matter on a normal 3x3).

Having owning a Snake, Sudoku, Tic-Tac-Toe, and a Letter cube, I would know that that's not how you do the Sudoku one. When I first got it, it was 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 on each side. If getting a separate number on each row/column was the case, it would be impossible since there are only nine numbers and 12 spaces.

The sudoku cube actually isn't too bad. The constraints of having 1-9 on each face makes it hard, but forcing some of the side rows to obey that actually makes it easier. Effectively, if you can get the first face to have 1-9 and the top layer bands (of which there are actually 2 lines per layer!) to have 1-9, you've met so many constraints, that the rest of the pieces are guaranteed to belong to the next two layers somewhere. It's a bit hard to explain over text, but for me personally, my sudoku cube isn't my hardest puzzle. My hardest puzzle is the Latch Cube. It's a cube with circles and arrows on it. The arrows indicate an allowed turn direction. As those arrows move, it can lock faces. You can lock 4 faces at once, leaving 2 available moves. It's rough. It took me 4 months for my first solve, and it still takes several hours to solve each time it's scrambled. And those hours are not spent just plugging algorithms, but instead analyzing available moves versus a multitude of algorithms done forward, backward, leftward, or rightward. It's an intense, open-ended process.

Hi man! very nice video! i got the suducko cube a few years ago when i was 12 (16 now) and it was too hard for me back then but i tried it again when i saw your video only 4 years late... I acctually made it after 8 hours of constant thinking (well i kind of did it) If you look at the cube there are 2 pieces with 3,6 and 8 on. I got all of the pieces at the right place but since i didnt notice that there where 2 pieces that was the same but different layout i guess is the right way to put it. Im now gonna draw the whole cube as it is right now and then do it all over again with the right pieces at the right place because i dont want to spend another 8 hours. If you still havent solved the cube you should try again because it only takes a few hours tops to understand how to solve it

Chizypuff Slashwin because you'd make it 1 to 9 from left to right That means your 1 on one end could be a 3, 6 or 9 on the other end. For instance its a 1 to 9 pattern on one side, and then you turn it on the other end and it's a 1 to 9 pattern on that side but the 1 on one side isn't a 1 on the other side. Do you get it now? That means that 3 6 and 9 on one side can be 3, 2 and 1 on the other. Get it now?

You do realize that the sudoku puzzle is impossible if you are saying that the whole layer can't have the same number because on one line of that cube there is 12 spots but only 9 numbers How it's done is the left and right side can't have the same numbers as the face on the top layer So how do you make out the cube Try two techniques one is mirror two faces the front and back or top and bottom Then move the corresponding sides to match Easy way to do this is almost as if your playing sudoku but with only 4 squares instead of the 9 that it usually is I agree it's hard but a lot like the other ones doable if you play it the way it's intended instead of trapping yourself by making it impossible to start with I enjoyed the video and hope this comment if anything helps you start the cube

The first step in solving the last cube is to write down every number on the cube and work out the correct pattern before touching the cube itself. Put the numbers together in different ways til you reach the correct configuration. The you can draw the numbers on an old cube and use this as a road map to show you where to put each piece. Once you know what goes where you can use the algorithms fr a regular rubik's cube.

Got a sodoku cube aswell, can agree that it's by far the most challenging puzzle i've faced. Solved it once, but that was only by taking a picture of each side before scrambling. It's now in a scrambled position, and I have no idea of how to get it back

  • @cptant7610
    @cptant76108 жыл бұрын

Difficulty is largely determined by the whether or not other people already solved the puzzle earlier. There are actually only VERY few people capable of solving a normal 3x3x3 rubik's cube. There are tons of people capable of looking up the solution and applying it themselves on the other hand.

Mad Drill If couldn't notice, that's actually my point. If applying 9 to 12 is impossible (which should be obvious) so we should do the sudoku for each face, as drumttocs8 stated. But what's the difficult on that?

Awesome!! doing those puzzles takes extreme intelligence of a certain kind (book smart vs. creative smart or a mix) but it looks sooooo boring. very amazing though. sort of like liking an abstract painting much more than a photorealistic one but you appreciate the patience and talent of the photorealistic painter.

+Christopher Smith No worries man haha, I'm not going to lie my voice is quite, monotonous shall we say! And yeah, after a few attempts and thanks to the comments, I realised that the Sudoku Cube is actually impossible as around the four sides of the cube, there are actually twelve separate cubies, but only nine numbers (1-9) so it is actually impossible to make sure none of the numbers repeat themselves.

It's technically called a Sudoku cube, but you are correct in the sense that it's not a true Sudoku. They pretty much just called it that since it follows the 1-9 system, while making sure that there aren't any of the same number in the same row.

  • @lin4cba

***** Didn't even bother to think about the fact that there are 4 faces around the cube. Haha, my bad. Still makes it an interesting cube, nonetheless. I can't really think of anywhere to start, in that case, other than just solving it on paper and then replicating the results on the cube.
