grooming is a sign of love and respect in all primates including humans. that is why hygiene is important to us, because the first way we judge people to see if they they are respect worthy is if they look respected AKA hygienic.

@@destinyworship429 Among the higher mammals, TONS of behavior that you would assume is instinct is, in fact, taught. For example, look at this little macaque here... So much of macaque behavior (how to find food, how to be safe at night, as well as the whole repertoire of macaque social skills) is actually learned, and not instinctive, That pet macaques tend to fare very poorly when released to the wild. Even if they know how to find food, and to stay up in the trees at night, meeting up with a troop of macaques tends to lead to very severe outcomes, because the former pet hasn't idea how to behave, or how to signal a lot of vital things. A huge portion of childbearing and parenting is almost totally learned behavior among the more complex mammals....and what could be more important to the survival of a species than that? Indeed, breastfeeding? Astonishingly hard to do if someone doesn't teach you. You have to learn how to help your baby latch correctly, or else it hurts horribly, the baby swallows air and spits up, and/or baby can't get enough to eat. If something as important as FEEDING A BABY is a taught behavior, I think we can give hygiene some room at the table. After all, though it looks different across time and cultures, hygiene and presentation are pretty universally important across human cultures.

This is too precious. I don't usually advocate owning monkeys as pets ( because of the vile abusive owners who use them as KZread pets and the horrendous torture those poor monkeys have to endure for their so called owners to make a few pennies ) but yours seem so content , happy and seem well cared for. The fact that they groom you says alot about their life, their feelings towards you, it also says alot about you and your place in their "troop". Thank you for obviously showing these beautiful souls love and respect and for not debasing or humiliating them with God awful ridiculous outfits and ridiculous scenarios to get people to watch their channels. God Bless you and your beautiful monkeys I really enjoyed watching your video so much that I've decided to subscribe. Which I can honestly say will be the first time I've subscribed to the channel of a person who owns monkeys. On more serious note. Please keep treating your wonderful monkeys as you are today, it is truly a beautiful site to be able to see your relationship with each other. 👍👍👍

I feel SO BLESSED to be able to wake up each morning trying to figure out how to make their life better.. Before I die my goal is to have a perfect monkey biodome for year around foraging with a waterfall and lazy river for them with a glass walkway AROUND THE TOP ABOVE THE TREES that people can come visit them WITHOUT STRESSING THEM!! They are going to HAVE to have a way to make money to pay someone to do the things I do for them BUT I NEVER WANT THEM TO BE DISPLAYED IN TIGHT SCARY AREAS OR IN SITUATIONS THAT WHEN A FIGHT BREAKS OUT THEY HAVE NO WHERE TO RUN TO GET AWAY!!!! Just like us they have moody bad days and need SPACE to be left alone or just chill or it can get physical if they feel pestered or just need an outlet… I have stressed myself out trying to figure out HOW to provide for them and keep THEIR BEST INTEREST IN MY HEART!! It takes money to live but THE MONKEYS was never a way of getting it for me.. I NEVER considered breeding or selling!! If I did money would not be an issue because every day my phone rings trying to buy my babies.. I want to provide the BEST life for the REST of their life only!!! Everyone is fixed and just living out life the best they can.. THANK YOU FOR NOTICING THAT I LOVE THEM NOT OWN THEM… if anything THEY own and abuse me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙉🙊🙈jk

@@SaleemFrazer It’s grooming and it’s instincts are telling it to eat whatever it finds because in the wild it would find ticks, fleas, and other unwanted bugs off it’s relatives/higher ranked hierarchy members that it would typically groom. So the tongue action is probably because it’s getting ready to put the unwanted critters in it’s mouth. Or it could be like us humans when we stick our tongue out when we concentrate on something. 😆😆😆
