Misfitland Monkey Rescue is dedicated to providing forever homes to domesticated monkeys born in captivity. All the fancy new toys, given warm bottles constantly, diapers changed, warm cute clothes, and fed daily without worry of anarchy and where they fit in on the entitlement of the most desired food/fruit and WHO gets what.. Humanized since birth these monkey have been protected by their humans. They don't know how to show submission to the alphas. They LOVE sleeping in bed, watching television, laying on the couch, using pillows and blankets, their hair being combed, and overall mimicking any action they have seen someone do.. Opening doors, cabinets, drawers, refrigerator or freezer, cans, wrappers, bags, containers, etc acting like the humans they have watched their whole life and knowing the GOOD STUFF is in often hidden in there they will sneak into the forbidden places every given opportunity

A few years back, I traveled through southeast Asia. While I was in Thailand, I went to Monkey Island, and it was there that I fell in love with these beautiful smart creatures !

I think I get it. It's not that the rezoning will affect current properties and homeowners right now. But making home, land/property changes will affect folks going forward with the new regulations and requirements moving into the future. There will be new zoning property restrictions, regulations, fines, and fees that were not in place before the rezoning took place. That means you're being further limited in what you can and cannot do on your property and everything will be inspected and approved if you do want to make changes. If that's all right -- I get why you'd be so upset. That's American property ownership for ya. It's a known truth that property ownership in America comes with a very surprising hitch: you don't actually own your property. It's a false belief. The US Government owns your property. That property is then leased out to the State it's bordered within. When you "purchase" that property, you are really only renting the right to inhabit and reside on it but little else. The State still has the right to do what they want with it, and dictate what you can and cannot do on it at any time, without notice. None of us actually "own" any land in this country.

Are they trying to rezone or something to make it illegal for you to have the monkeys?
Would you be willing to explain a little more about what's happening? Are they proposing or have they already decided to rezone Felicity & Franklin in a way that will be either disruptive or destructive? If so, what's going on? --- EDIT: OOps! I see the transcript now. Nah.. Reese is not a hands on kinda monkey.. His owner didn’t handle him much as a baby and basically never past the age of 3.. He is trying to figure out who he is and his rank here at Misfitland so he is often pumped with testosterone trying to prove a point🤣🤣🤣🤣 sometimes I get to groom his little face through the fence and over the years I have no doubt he will calm down. I doubt he will ever be like the others as far as wanting to be touched by humans, but he certainly loves playing with us and being a part of our life… I with somebody overtime and can have a cage mate but just like us that takes someone special and the right timing❤️❤️❤️

Love your videos , I've thought of doing the monkey rescue Also , If you don't mind me asking , the monkeys you rescue comes from the laboratory where they suffered from abusive lab workers physically emotionally & mentally & rescue from dangerous drugs put into em or from previous owners from monkey as pet friendly states ??
So far all the monkeys have been in homes that have domesticated them to a large degree.. however I do dream over being able to help some that have been in horrific situation such as labs
