They had a plane full of killers, sociopaths and physcopaths, but it shows most people in prison despised rapists and pedophiles.

The 90s were the golden era for action movies in my opinion. They were over the top and sometimes ridiculous but so much fun too.

You have to keep in mind they took the knife so that was not there to prove they had a weapon. Also yes when you are actually trained the law applies differently if you get in a fight and end up hurting the person especially if the don't have training.

The most unbelievable thing about this movie is a veteran getting convicted of manslaughter in a self defense scenario in the south. Yeah effn right! Maybe in NYC or chicago, but that woukdnt even have went to trial in alabama

I actually saw this in the theatre when it was originally released. I went because I was a huge Trisha Yearwood fan and she sang the song "How Do I Live". But it turned out to be a great movie, too! Cage has several great one liners!

They genuinely crashed the plane into a casino as a stunt - the casino was due for demolition anyway and the film-makers offered to do it for them.

Benny the Jet worked on this movie as a stunt coordinator and he would keep John and Danny break in a different area from the other actors. When Danny asked him why he said it was becaus he and John could fight for real and those guys were just acting as tough guys and he didn't want them hurting one of the other actors if someone tried to mess with them.

I really like this movie & watch it a few times a year as part of an 'Air Adventure' movie marathon (which includes 'Air Force One') but I would like to suggest 2 other movies that I watch in the same marathon, (well 1 movie but 2 versions of it) 'The Flight of the Phoenix' (1965) featuring legendary actors James Stewart, Richard Attenborough & Ernest Borgnine followed by the 'The Flight of the Phoenix' (2005) version with Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Miranda Otto & Hugh Laurie. The story is good in both & I like to see the differences in the stories based in the times they were made.

I love this film. It's so fun in its over the topness. I assume you've seen Face Off, also Nic Cage being amazing but totally over the top in the best way. This one has a great cast and John Malkovich stole all the scenes.

Hey guys, haven't commented in awhile, but felt compelled on this one, as I too am a fan of who I call the red-headed stepchild of the Coppola family. He certainly has a unique charm about him, and if you look back at his past interviews, they're all hilarious. And since you mentioned accents, I believe this is the second worst accent in film history, second only to Keanu Reeves' torrid attempt of a British accent in Bram stoker's Dracula. Incidentally, in my humble opinion, Leaving Las Vegas is Nicholas Cage's tour deforce by far. You two, if you have not seen it, you must! Cheers from Toronto.☮️🎬

Nic Cage is my favourite actor by a mile. Even in the movies he made to pay his tax bill he gives 100% when he could just phone it in. Please watch Pig, Mandy and Colour Out of Space sometime, hell, watch as many Cage films as you can. I get you need to 'censor' the vid to avoid the greedy corporate scum but I can't watch that blurry, stretched mess, it hurts my eyes, sorry.

Because no one ever seems to get it right...Colm is not pronounced like it looks. It's closer to Colin but with an M on the end (Collum). Irish people tend to add a helper vowel (linguistic folks call it epenthesis) when there's a challenging combination of letters. It's not unique to Irish folks...think of Scottish folks trying to say "burglar"...it becomes "bur guh luhr" or a lot of folks across varying linguistic backgrounds will add a syllable in "decathlon" turning it into "de cath uh lon". Might seem nitpicky, but imagine going through your life with everyone mispronouncing your name...hell, Cillian Murphy had to win an Oscar for a lot of people to learn that his name wasn't Silly Ann!
