Congratulation on winning the german bowl (again)! But Nalf has a very intersting set of priorities! "Usually" when someone wins a national championship, that would make the title of the video! But Nalf is different: Family first, championship second. Obviously it's much more important that MAMA met Laura !!!

I bet Nalf never imagined his football playing stint would result in so many momentous events. The image of him walking out on that balcony with the trophy in his hand to celebrate with the Schwäbisch Hall fans was incredible and soul-stirring on so many levels. Sweeter still with his German girlfriend, Laura, by his side. (and mom and Mikey too, of course) What an epic journey!

This video is just pure happiness and I love it. You deserve all those great moments Nick. The German Bowl, the time with your brother, your mom meeting your girlfriend and the whole bunch just getting along. The beautiful weather....you earned this!

Your mom has the same great radiance in her eyes as you do. She shines wonderfully.

My dad would have loved these videos. He was an American who fell in love with a Schwäbisch (not Schwäbisch Hall) girl & Germany and was the best to watch football with. My mom & young daughter starting watching together and then introduced me to them. Their description about the channel was spot on but sounded so weird. Turns out to be the best channel on KZread. 😊

I initially (and intermittently) watched a lot of those “culture shock” videos from Americans that moved to Germany, and to misquote Donald Trump:”They are sending their best!” And I mean it - lovely people, and NALF is at the top of the list, because he was the very best of the early bunch, (I just appreciate the personal insights and how he shares his feelings about the world), and so he grew close to my heart over all that time.

Strasbourg is a very beautiful city! The whole of Alsace is an amazingly beautiful region! Loved Colmar and "Route des Vins" (which means Wine Route and is a route that takes you through lovely villages through Alsace wine country). The region just above Alsace, Les Vosges, is amazing as well.
