can I get 4k 144hz by using Type c to display port cable from my MacBook Pro M1 16 inch. Or using a usb 4 cable without any converter or thunderbolt hub. I am considering buying it. The only thing that concerns me is that, will it run 4k 144hz on mac!? So, please let me know or you can create a detailed video on this topic.

Thank you for another great setup video. Hoping I can have your help for a huge frustration that I have. For devices I have a PC, PS5 and work laptop. For inputs/outputs, I have USB speaker (AE HD3), USB microphone (razor siren), custom keyboard, mouse (MX M3), one 43" 4k monitor and one 27" 2k monitor. Currently.... It's literally plug and unplug every time with limited peripherals for PS5 and laptop (I.e. no mic and keyboard/mouse). Any recommendations to bring them all together? I have two train of thoughts which are both at a dead end. 1) give up second monitor and buy a better DAC with USB (for PS5) and optical input (for PC), this leaves out USB mic, mouse and keyboard and not friendly to work laptop. 2) KVM since all my peripherals are USB, but doesn't appear to be viable given most of them will cater to keyboard and mouse but not mic and speakers. I also thought about a huge USB hub of some sort but have not found a good product yet. Idea from anyone would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Awesome video dude. Just so that I get this straight, since I am also trying to get into the streaming/recording/content creating space here. You said that you connected your Blue Yeti microphone to your monitor? I have been trying all kinds of ways to connect my USB Microphone (HyperX Quadcast), but I simply do not get any sound, and otherwise I do not hear my in-game chats (since I play with friends and other streamers). If you (or someone else) could break that down for me, you'd have no idea how much I'd appreciate that. You've earned my sub, really great video! :)

LOVE the setup brother! I have a very similar setup with my standing desk, laptop, and PS, but you've definitely given me some pointers on minimizing and making better use of my desktop space. As for the monitor, in September I upgraded from the Gigabyte M27Q to the M28U for the 4K and couldn't be happier. It has been THE BEST monitor combination for productivity and gaming at an affordable price. I know you're still testing it but I don't think you'll be disappointed. One question I do have for you though is about speakers. I noticed that you just used headphones, do you ever use speakers for editing, etc., or was going with headphones just more to help save space within this setup? Thanks!

  • @monyetbesar

@@Mannyallin From what I remember is that the curved one uses a VA panel. It results in more vibrant colors and deeper blacks, but ghosting and blur are definitely more worse on (most) VA panels. With that in mind I would always choose for an IPS panel. The normal M32U without curve does use a IPS panel I think.

They pill and thread a lot wherever your mouse is. That said it’s worth the money. The quality can’t compete with grovemade which I didn’t know up until this week

I know it's not question for the setup but I'll ask: Can you balance your life between the wife, the child, the job and every normal life situation with gaming and I'm not asking exactly how to do that but what basic concept I need to keep in mind if one day I need to balance these things out? Sorry for asking this but I wondered because gaming is part of my childhood and build my personality and I love to play games and I know I won't have a lot of time to do it when life starts to hit harder but still if I have a minimal time to do it I will do it. Of course if I have a wife and a child these two will be my biggest priority but I am kinda worried that the time for games which is part of me will be lost and I'm scared that I'll lost big part of my character?

Alot of people who has a family finds time for gaming. You need a wife who understands that this is your hobby, if you don't you will never be able to play games. Let's say you work 8hrs everyday mon-fri After work spend time with the family, then on weekend have time for yourself i.e gaming. They key to all of this is the wife. If she won't let you play video games then find someone else who lets you have fun with your hobbies. The moment the kid becomes older and is no longer in diapers, then you can see more gaming time is happening, which you can also teach them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's about managing your time within the day. Sometimes it's impossible to play everyday but still i have managed to finish gow Ragnarok in 10 days. You have to finish the job, do the housework like shopping, cooking etc. and then you might play at the end of the day like 2/3 hours, this is how it looks like in my case. I haven't got a child but fiancee an active dog which also demands a lot of responsibility.

Such an amazing question dude, and honestly, I'm still figuring it all out. Had my kid two years ago. By the time she hit 3 months I hit a hard realization life wasn't the same and wasn't going to be, BUT it's just a matter of pivoting and adapting. I thought gaming was done for me tbh, and I'll be real - I gave up gaming for like maybe 4 months? I love me some World of Warcraft, which requires a HUGE time investment for the way I like to play that game, but with a new kid and family, I had to accept I couldn't do that and shift my priorities as hard as it was. That shits addicting. Which funny enough - sort of lead to me starting a YT channel, to bring some sort of hobby I could put down any time. I found the Xbox Series S which actually change my entire perspective. Having been so used to top notch performance and high refresh PC gaming, I hadn't paid mind to the console space. For shits and giggles I picked up the series S which simply "worked" for my life style and gave me 1440p and 120hz so it satisfied my gamer side.Quick resume was dope, I could pick up and drop games anytime. Gamepass made it so I could just find stuff and play. But for everything else, it comes down to scheduling stuff. As much as it sucks, I schedule when I'm working on videos. I schedule what time I have for myself whether it's gaming or the gym, and I schedule time for my family. It would be 10 times more difficult without a supportive spouse that's for sure. So I consider myself beyond lucky. Sorry for the novel, but TLDR - it comes down to scheduling, and understanding life is different, accepting it, and pivoting and making sure you give yourself what you need. Thanks for the dope ass question, hope this helps even a bit

Great setup! How do you switch between consoles using 1 monitor?

Most monitors come with 2 hdmis so I think he might just use the controls on the back of the monitor or get a universal remote for it.

Did you find any issues with installing the monitor arm over the RGB strip on your desk?

Zero issues. The rear C clamp can have the tiniest bit of space without problem. The lightstrip itself is like 1mm thick so it’s like it’s not there.
