@@maksfronczak9365 It probably was an intentional choice by the director. Whenever there's a red flag on screen, pay attention to what's being said or what's happening on screen because it's probably important. But you probably don't notice it except in hindsight, like most things in this show.

AoT has the craziest fucking plot twists. I sometimes wish I could erase it from my memory and rewatch it with a blank slate just to experience it again for the first time, but I also love seeing all the little details coming up to this moment that make so much sense with the context.

I read this scene in the Manga, that casual reveal. I kept going back and forth, over and over, thinking, SOMEHOW I had missed an entire page. That reveal was too freaking EPIC to have just been a background reveal, CLEARLY I had missed the real page, and this was just the same scene from a different perspective.

one of my all time favorite episodes... the emotion... the shock... the betrayal.... it's just too good. chills every time.

Yeah, this was the moment I knew this series was gold. The writing and pacing is 10/10.

definitely one of the most hype scenes for me in all of anime

The final scream Eren does always gives me chills

Now that you have seen this here are a few of the hints/foreshadowing that Reiner and Berthholt were the Armored and Colossal Titans. Go back to some of these episodes and you will pick up on a lot of these hints now. During scout training when Eren is taking about Shinganshina, he mentions the Armored and Colossal Titans. The camera pans to Reiner and Berthholt as he talks about each one. Next just a few episodes in Utgard castle there were a bunch of hints. First was their reaction to the Beast Titan. Everyone was shocked but go back to that scene and look at their faces. Then when the tower was falling Berthhold was about to bite his hand like Eren and transform if he needed to. When Armin and Reiner were fighting Annie after Reiner escaped her grip you could see Titan steam coming from Reiner as he quickly healed from being crushed by Annie. Lastly is one that takes a little more looking to spot, and that is timeline wise, Reiner and Berthholds backstory they told the scounts during the training arc is impossible, not to mention impossible to survive. The final clue which should be obvious at this point is that the titans look exactly like Reiner and Berthold. Just goes to show how long this reveal has been planned.

What goes to show how carefully planned this entire show is, is the first episode when erens wakes up with a he never had to begin with, the headache and the dream because the attack titan had being showing him the future. This man wrote the entire stop then went back to put in the foreshadows.

I love Reiner.. what a loyal and mentally stable person 😊.

I never get tired of seeing people react to this eposode 😂

11:05 Reiner's reaction to Eren's rejection is so honest... in Reiner's mind he really thought Eren would choose to deliberately go with them as a pledge to the ''titan race''... the psychology in this show is amazing

What a way to reveal a twist. When I first watched the show I spent a hot minute thinking the subtitles were glitched

Remember when Reiner, Jean and Armin were stuck outside the wall just after The Female Titan appeared? Well Armin had it pretty much all figured out that Annie was the female, but they only had two horses. Armin was injured and not as skillfull as the other two so he offers to get left behind with the only condition be that Reiner report "something" directly to Commander Erwin. He never gets to tell Reiner what that something is because Historia comes with an extra horse just in time. But what would have happened i wonder.

The song that plays during this betrayal is called "YOUSEEBIGGIRL" We only hear it three times in the entire show, and this is one of them

God this episode always gives me goosebumps

after the ending of AOT, it makes me think Eren was trying to change the outcome of this situation by saying "you're just tired arent you?" even tho it was going to happen regardless i think Eren was fighting the outcome here. This show is amazing!

I might have seen +50 reactions to this episode on KZread and I never get tired of them.

JD if you go back on your video reaction on AOT S2x5 at the exact timestamp of 11:16 you will see that Bertholdt was going to bite his hand to transform into Titan when the tower was about to fall off

i bought the first 6 chapters of the manga for my dad because he refuses to watch anime but likes comic books. it gets to the female titan but no reveals. I just want him to get to this point so he can be hooked lol. Masterpiece

The armored titan design is based on Brock Lesner physique. I remember when you refer to the F5 when Reiner carried that small titan on his back and you mentioned to F5 him an episode ago. That time Reiner wasn't revealed as the armoured titan yet

Whole show spoiler: That scene is way "worse" (making it better for us as the viewers of the story) knowing the whole context. He must've felt like shit, not just form his slit throat but the whole reveal of their betrayal too. I can't help but think forward to that scene with Reiner & Jean in the plane talking after they had to betray and murder all their friends too. To an extend the three likely had a much better time within the walls than they had in Marley, but Zeke's appearance was probably a grim reminder for them. In that sense Reiners suggestion was even a good compromise, assuming Marley would've accepted it and left the island alone after getting the founder for their other imeprialistic goals. Unlikely but I still like his intend of wanting to protect the people there.

This right here is what we've all been waiting for.😁🙏

Remember how hard it was for him to transform when Annie revealed herself as the Female? But no. Seeing the two Titans that uprooted his entire life, killed his friends, his mom. Eren doesnt even let Reiner hit the ground before he transforms.

I used to work this job overnight from 12-8. I remember I was watching this ep half asleep, then I read the subtitle. I thought I read it wrong due to feeling tired, then Reiner said he was the armored titan. Dunno what happened but I immediately caught a second wind and said “yo what the fuck!?” Almost woke up the clients I was watching 😂

there are hints about rainer and berthold being titans throughout the last episodes that u cant notice on ur first time watching. for example last episode berthold was about to bite his hand

you see nothing yet. story of this show is on another level.

This episode was the definite turning point for me

between like 3 epsidoes we went from no titans to everyone being a titan

It's so cool how some people (such as Alicia) predict this reveal since episode 3, and some don't believe it until they actually transform. There's so much subtle foreshadowing for those looking for it, but it doesn't ruin the moment if you pick up on it.

Even if you have every element by the time the meeting is shown, the protagonist is more than likely to react just like Eren and deny the plausible reality. The story specifically spreads things perfectly between Reiner, who has all the foreshadowing (including looking exactly like his titan), but who garners far too much sympathy to elicit suspicion, and Bertholdt, whom the viewer is probably not as attached to, but that looks so meek and insignificant he could _never_ be the Colossal Titan, the face of the series and the biggest known threat at this point. This contradictory push and pull fuels just enough denial that only the final transformation dispels it.

"HUUUUUH.... *lift information come up" BRO, you can't be telling me about lifts right now!" They could've put the biggest spoiler in these lift information and no one would've read it, because SAME :D

So satisfying that you caught up to this episode. We've all been waiting for this one. Attack on Titan is imo the best written plot in all of shounen anime, one of the tightest plots in anything I've ever seen in any medium. I don't want to say more 🤭 Also please react to Steins;Gate sometime. That one starts gently but takes off like a rocket.

This may be a stretch, but it’s possible that Reiner’s obvious suspicion of Ymir was meant to serve as a figurative “red herring” by drawing the audience’s suspicion away from Reiner. The figurative “red herring” was prompted by a literal red can of herring.
