My McGill University Experience (5 Things You Need to Know)

Here is my McGill university experience. After my last semester at University I came up with 5 things you need to consider before applying to it!
1. The Party Life & Location (Frosh, Carnival, etc)
2. Diversity & Networking
3. Cost Breakdown
4. Job Opportunities (Cocktails, Clubs and Internships)
5. Work & Level of Difficulty ( I also answer some of your questions like how to balance life and school and how I decided to go into management)
Thank you for watching this video! I hope that you keep up with the content I post on my channel, subscribe, and share with the people you think need some guidance in their career choices. Your comments make me fulfilled, so please leave me a little something and let me know what you are planning on doing ! Maybe I can help and give you my opinion :)

Loved this video! I’m from Brazil and my mother lives in Montréal, so I was thinking a lot about studying at McGill, because it’s in the top 50 best universities of the world... but I also got inside of one of the best universities of Brazil too, economics sciences at UFRJ, through the national exam that we have here (and it’s not easy at all), and it’s 100% public and free so I’m really confused about my choices lol

I'm an international student, i'm considering McGill for my graduate studies in computer science. Any tips? A bit about me: - I speak and read/write both english and french - I'll be applying directly after my undergraduate studies are done so the only experiences I have are those from many internships - I'm an A student in my current college, I do not consider my college to be hard but the current material i'm taking is very useful, how does that change in McGill? Will I be able to support all the pressure?

  • @abouttime5000

Take the US school with the hardest academic reputation and there you have your comparison. Maybe MIT or Caltech. Ivey League schools are not known for grade deflation like McGill is and getting into an Ivey League is based on Legacy, Money and connections. Sure these schools take in a handful of super achiever students with no money but they are a minute exception. McGill is well known in the academic and business world but not in the movies. Although McGill was mentioned once in an episode of The Simpsons. Ivey League schools have taken a hit lately with the entrance scandal. They are so disgusting to be honest.

Some of the admin staff are extremely racist and incompetent and they will throw racial slurs at you (My previous flatmate's and also my own experience: definitely beyond your imagination). There are many complaints coming from students of different departments (My ex neighbors were studying at McGill). McGill has a raping culture: certain professors continuously raped and sexually harassed students of different cohorts for many years and the scandals were covered up by McGill's senior executives (CBC news). One of my cyberfriends used to do research and teach PhD students in the School of Medicine. He told me that he left McGill because they treated everyone meanly.
