Beautiful repair job! Wax paper is great for improving the zipper movement. I have a couple pieces that need repair but the cost has gone up so high now in 2023

yeah i just got my papillon but not the whole outside leather just the piping cause i cant afford to spend a lot of money even im already addicted to lv repair cause i send speedy,alma,montsouris,ellipse for change all oitside leather some of them takes me a years before i got it

@@kashhosena3347 The repair prices have gotten SO crazy. I regret not doing them over the last couple years. Now they want about $1k to replace leather on a classic speedy 35...!

@@makeupnmedicine yeah i send my speedy 30 2021 around November and i got it around end of October 2022 so since it takes a year they give it to me for free they supposed to charge me 540 outside leather and 490 for inside lining and i ask for luggage tag and clochette for free so pretty much i got brand new speedy 30 and luggage tag and clochette for free and since they change the inside they ask me if i want the inside pocket with the old version or with the zipper one and i told them with zipper And same as my alma pm send by november 2021 and done at october 2022 inside and outside change for free with luggage tag and clochette and i got few repairs that ive been waiting ellipse - 1470 but i just change the handle 390 papillon - 960 just piping 350 montsouris mini - 1470 everything speedy - 540 now 970 alma - 669 now 960

I think these repairs costs are crazy… as long as ppl keep paying these prices,nothing will change. A good cobbler could of did this for half, but it’s not my money or my business. Thank you for the video.😊

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with cobblers including one ruining my Gucci bag. How could a cobbler repair and still guarantee the bag could be authenticated?

Yes they are crazy prices. I found a cobbler that’s like an hour and a half from me. That fixes LV bags. I would rather drive there.

Omg!!! Someone just got all of their leather replaced on a carry all 45 for the same price. This is concerning

Geez, with that repair price, wouldn't it have been better to just buy another exact used bag? I see a lot of this bag being sold at $700, and they're in decent shape. In fact, I just bought a used one but the straps need to be repaired. I contacted lv online and they quoted me at $1,200. That's insane! I did not accept the offer, but I'm planning to go to a store for a quote. I don't expect it to be much lesser, but I'm still curious. I just don't think it's worth it even though i am going to a store just to get a price.

The bag is coated canvas, not leather. Only the vachetta trim is leather.

The inside of the bag is actual leather and the outside is the canvas with Vachetta straps. I have a papillon and it has the leather inside. My vintage trocadero 30 bag is leather inside and canvas on the outside.
