프랑스에서 태어나셧으면 브랜드 회사 장인이 아니라 전세계 에서 인정받는 예술가 가 되셧을겁니다. 한국에 저정도 나이 드신 장인분들 대부분 사정을 들어보면 어렸을때 가정형편이 어려워 학교는 못가고 일찍 일배우신 분들임. 지금이야 풍족해서 인정받으시지만 그땐 장인이란 칭호는 커녕 하찮은 직업이란 인식이 있었음. 만약 저런분들이 프랑스 에서 태어나셧으면 재능이 일찍 발견되서 예술쪽으로 엘리트 코스 밟으셧을 겁니다. 물론 장인분들 어렸을때 기준으로 말한것이고요 지금 우리나라 상황이 좋아졋죠

Quite positive that not even LV puts this much effort, dedication and love into making these bags! This man’s skills are extraordinary!

youre right, I got a bag restored by lv and they did a sh*t job with loose strings and messy paint job on the edges. Lv isnt what it used to be

@@impulsiveurge5837 LV bags are not even leather its just a cheap vinyl plastic. so many nice leather bags you could buy. Only reason anyone buys a LV bag is to be seen with it.

I admire this man's skill and mastery of his craft. An LV bag cost a lot of money, yet this man repaired an old one to be used and loved again.

왜 눈물이 나는지 모르겠어요. 저희 엄마도 학업을 마치지 못하고 10대때부터 수선일을 하셨거든요. 근 40여년을 저렇게 한땀 한땀 누군가의 옷을 고치고 만들고, 손톱이 틀어지고 실에 손끝이 베여 갈라지면서도 하는 일이 재밌다고 손님들이 웃을 때마다 뿌듯하다는 저희 엄마 생각이 나네요. 저기 계신 분들도, 저희 엄마도 단순히 가방이나 옷을 수선한게 아니고 본인과 가족의 삶을 꿰매고, 다림질하고, 덧대며 만들어온거라고 생각해요. 저분들 가족들은 이 영상 보면서 정말 자랑스럽고 한편으론 이 영상이 너무 고마우실 거에요. 영상 속 기술자님들 손 다치지 않고 건강히 일하셨음 좋겠어요. 진짜 진심으로 존경합니다. 💜💐

이런분이 진정한 장인이고 이런 것이 진정한 명품이지 않을까 싶네요. 하나 하나 수작업으로 대단히 많은 수고와 시간이 들어가는걸 보니까 정말 신기하네요. 오래되어 더이상 쓸 수 없을 것 같은 가방도 이렇게 새 가방처럼 탄생할 수 있으니 앞으로도 못쓰겠다고 버리는 일은 없도록 해야겠다는 생각이 듭니다.

스킵하지않고 쭉 다 봤네요. 영상속에서 장인의 모습을 봤습니다. 한편의 예술작품을 만드시는 느낌이었어요. 너무 좋은 영상입니다~!!

@Mrs Elephant I paid $540 (usd) for my speedy bag thru LV repair service. They replaced all the leather only like the one in the video but I noticed they didn’t replace the inside leather piece. It still looks brand new though

가방 손잡이에 달린 쇠는 복원 안했... 저거 콜라에 담궈서 녹슨물 다 빼먄 새것되는데

연금술의 3단계 과정... 이해- 분해 - 재구축... 이건 복원의 수준이 아니라 거의 재생, 재구축... 재창조(!) 수준이라고 본다.이 장인을 당장 루이비통 본사 공장으로 모셔가도 전혀 무리가 없을듯~

I always come back to this video when I have trouble falling asleep, something about the mans passion and the classical music together is just really soothing.

I do jobs like this, it started by someone coming into the clothing alteration shop I work in and asking if we do leather work. We didn't at the time but I said "yeah, I'll give it go", we're now known for our quality Leatherwork. With the right tools and practice, anyone could do it.

@lemonade You're going to need a walking foot sewing machine which aren't cheap but you maybe able to pick up an old one for a good price. I've found that the older ones are easier to repair if you have problems. Then get some old bags from the second hand shop, pull them apart and put them back together for practice, then put yourself out there.

I'm amazed at the craftsmanship and accuracy of this man's work.

He's been doing this for years and years to get this good and fast! Plus, having a machine shop with all the tools you will ever need at your disposal doesn't hurt! But, I get your point...we are a consumer society that throws things away that can be repaired.

​@@marcfilippone181 most of the big electric or pneumatic tools are not really needed to do the job correctly, they only make it easier and faster. simple hand tools that haven't changed in a couple centuries or more are enough to make those bags. it takes care, know-how and time but it's doable. 😽👌

How an individual's God given tatent makes him/her unique and specially blessed. An indispensable being in Allah's scheme of things. May He grant him health, energy and the enthusiasm to continue with his great work. Loved watching every moment from start to finish. A 'labour of love' is joy for ever for all, the doer and the one for whom it is done. Thanks for the video.

I worked at the LV repair warehouse and this guy is much more talented than the artisans there for years..! Just the webbing machine alone is difficult!

That tool that he sharpens from the beginning of the video, and uses it all the time is so satisfying❤️👌
