To celebrate my first month of playing Irish Tenor Banjo, I recorded this version of My Love is in America with my own ornaments. As a guitarist, a lot of my skills transfer, but it is a different tuning with special techniques that are unique to the Irish / Celtic music genre.
I also got a 14” Remo fiberskyn frame drum to serve as my Bodhran and 2 tippers. I have been practicing some basic Bohran techiques and thought this pattern would be nice for this reel. My tipper is a Roosebeck knob tipper - mulberry - 7”.
I am also playing rhythm guitar on my Taylor 914-C.
