Money can be earn back, but precious time spent with family is priceless. Everytime you spent precious time with them, it also gives you more motivation to keep going (life and work and stuffs) in order to reach the next time of seeing them again. When my grandmother who lives in KL had cancer, my mother travels back every week Thursday afternoon, just to spent time with her until Sunday midnight, and she comes back working like normal again on Monday morning. It was so tiring but she said she never regret it. I also live by a motto that if the money spent makes me happy, I should go ahead (of course including that it's within my budget and also not having a debt for it). Money can always earn back heehee.
