Went to her London show earlier this week. Alicia was the soundtrack of my teenage, then my twenties...there aren't enough superlatives to describe how amazingly talented she is. The other night, I sat there knowing all the words, runs and sometimes the arrangements of most songs. Yet, I still found myself in awe of her craft, her mastery, her vision, her stage presence, crowd interaction, ingenuity...or simply how much happiness her music brought to the room. I think she is iconic and this is the first time in my life I can say that I have been part of the entire journey. This video shows how, no matter the level of production involved, craftsmanship and creative genius always shine through.
