I love this Ivet! It's amazing how we find that book, therapist, etc. that helps us heal from unfortunate family situations. One of the hardest parts for me was realizing that I was robbed of being a child. It's like we were supposed to be miserable adults along with our parents as soon as possible. Thank you for sharing your journey. When we share our stories of having to grow up with narcissitic parents it helps the next generation. You have a created a wonderful life for yourself and we all appreciate your sharing not only beauty tips, but information that is good for our soul and development. I'm so glad I found you here on KZread! X

Yes once you realize the truth behind your past it can be very painful and disappointing. But as long as we are able to move forward that’s what matters. Sometimes people give up before they even try because they believe that’s it. Someone called me spoiled the other day and it reminded me how my mother used to called me when I resisted to her. They didn’t even say bye to me the day I left. I didn’t have contact with them for 3 months after it and it was so refreshing, I still remember.

Thank you 🙏🏻 life is not easy but I have learned in young age that I have to go through it the way it is and become the best version on myself. I received so much judgement from people who assumed my life story as they always thought I was able to get where I am because of a man who made my life easier but the opposite was always the truth. I never choose the easy path but that’s why I am so proud of myself.

Thank you for sharing your story Ivet❤ We have similar stories. I grew up in a dysfunctional household where I was treated badly as well. I relate to you when you said you were a dreamer. I worked really hard to get myself a good education and good job so I could move out and on to a better life. It was not easy, it was a long road, but so worth it. I have started doing inner child healing work about three years ago when I found the book "Homecoming" by Dr. John Bradshaw. Healing is intense, but so necessary. We are showing our inner child that they are worth it❤ xx

Ivet, you show a lot of wisdom in this video. I agree with you about the important points you make here. I have traveled a lot and when I go to another country, I want to absorb the culture of that country and not be the ugly American, dragging the USA around with me wherever I go. I don't expect anyone else to make my life good, either. That is on me. I am glad you came to the US and hope you have found good friends who care about you. I have eliminated toxic people from my life but it took me a long time to do it. Women usually think we have to make everyone else happy at our own expense. It takes a long time to figure this out and to correct this notion. Thank you for being so honest.

Oh yes the generational trauma's that are quite common in countries like this=I believe that everyone above the age of 35 should go to therapy there/here.My mom did/does it still =if I'm not happy you shouldn't be too otherwise it wouldn't be fair to me.I used to do nasty things to others bc I didn't know any better although I felt I shouldn't be doing it.I started to change at the age of 35.Now in my 40's and I feel like I'm finally mentally happy. And I love to read or listen to Wayne Dyer - he does seriously challenge me😅 with his patience for himself and other people.Have a good day everyone ♥️

You're not conservative at all Ivett & I can totally relate to you. You/we lean more towards modesty and perhaps dislike too loud, too brash or open behavior at times 😂 One must accustom to local culture which makes the transition much more easier...
