They are NOT “Gangsters” in Broadmoor! It’s a HOSPITAL for the criminally insane. They are very sick individuals who need to be locked-up for other peoples safety & (more often) their own safety!! They’re the complete opposite of “cool gangsters” to the loved ones of their victims!! 🙄

Are you able to interview more people that have stories involving mental health or experiences inside Broadmoor or other psychiatric facilities? I've been in psych wards 9 times (low-no security) and I have met the most amazing, intelligent, interesting people who have incredible stories and listening to lived experiences of mental health disorders is so captivating and interesting :)

Actually, a team of neurologists spent 4 decades interviewing inmates who had committed serious crimes in every prison in the US to try and find the root cause of why they ended up there. Turns out the common denominator for their lives of crime was directly related to trauma from their relationships with their mothers e.g physical and mental abuse, abandonment or lack of attention/love.

Great conversation and both of you come out of this well. I was born and raised just 2 miles from Brixton and lived the first 29 years of my life there pre-mass immigration and the area was Middle Class (hence much of the original architecture) and very safe. I, frequently, walked home around 3am/4am on my own for 2 mileswithout a care in the world. There IS one particular disconcerting and worrying point though in that Ovie never, financially, needed to commit any crime(the usual explanation for criminality is, of course, coming from an impoverished home) and yet he STILL chose to do so...I could write a small book about my 67 years of experience in South East London but those stories/anecdotes/vignettes are for another day :)

Just going through James's Podcasts as I work from home. Ovi's story.... wow ... what can I say? Great interview James....you make it look so seamless now.... seen other people do podcasts and they just take over the interview and I come away not feeling like I got to know the person they were interviewing. With yours James you know when to come in and you keep it short and let them tell their story. Much love to Ovi and hope he's enjoying life and wish him all the best.

@@nataliehenry3106 but Natalie you need to put your real Name up your a fella not a girl, I don't understand why some blokes put girls names up lol I don't understand why, no chance is a girl watching this podcast lol if I'm wrong then I'm sorry but I pretty sure I'm not lol. I've caught 6 of these people with girls names that are men, very easy to catch them because they are using a girls name but the videos they watch are literally 98% male audiences but they still argue they are a girl but I've got a way of proven them wrong lol, 6 so far 2of them on James English 1 on Joe Rogen and the rest on Ifl TV which is a boxing channel so it's so fucking obvious it's a fella lol! I don't why these fellas do this! Mental behaviour!!!!!

@@mrmonk1257 see there is no reply if someone called me out like that I'd definitely say something lol, but I'm telling you by someone's viewing history is enough to tell you what sex someone is, but there is another way to!! It's because they get more attention as a girl, the way I found out is I used to play pool on a site and because I was really good no one would play me but I changed my name to isebella888 and exposed myself to a world of creepy creepy fellas but I was called out lol and the fella who called me out explain how you can do something. I just wanted to play pool lol strange mofo online lolhahaha

Very truthful and polite. How switched on he is. He put the eye ball in his mouth and James moves on to next question. I'm laughing my head off. Anyone disses him and it affects him. Confidence with women is a big factor.
