When I was a boy growing up WV we were poor and life was simple but we sure were happy. I still live in WV and life is still simple by most people's standards but some how it feels like the magic is gone. So many of the old ways are being lost. I love WV and our way of life and will never leave here. I am an old man now and I am happy but waking up as a boy to Mom's breakfast like yours and looking forward to the day in the woods with my gun and my dogs was a very special time.

Sweet family memories. Y’all are building such a precious heritage for your family. Thanks for sharing your journey. One of my granddaddy’s expressions came to mind this week and I wanted to see if it’s in common use in your area. When someone would ask how he was getting along, instead of just saying, “I’m fine”, he’d say, “well, I’m able to sit up and take a little nourishment.” I loved his expressions. See you next time! Love watching your channel, I grew up along a bayou in south Louisiana but I believe we have a lot in common. I grew up on a working farm with 3 older brothers. My mom took me out to the cotton fields before I could remember, I do remember sitting and sleeping on her cotton sack. I was about 5 1/5 when I started driving the tractor for them to pull corn. Dad farmed about 80 acres in crops, we had pigs and cows. He had about 250 acres, but sold all but 80 due to heath issues. He has been gone 30 yearsand mom 19, my brothers and I still have the farm and lease it out to another farmer. I also love watching your girls, they are a joy to watch. We were poor but I never knew it until I was grown. There way always love and food on the table. One of my favorite things in this video is the syrup and butter being smashed together, brought back so many memories. Another video was case knife. God bless.

#14 is just as enjoyable as videos #1 - #13! I turned my volume up to enjoy the creek sounds even more. A neighbor let me pick leaf lettuce out of her garden a couple days ago. Wilted lettuce has been on our menu. Enjoyed every minute of the video. That song shows off your talents on the bass even more, Tipper. Thank you. Happy 4th!!

You are a true homemaker You take care of everything in the house and out on the grounds with your gardens and that’s how it used to be here in my part of the country just like my grandmother and my mother they stayed home took care of the home made sure we all had warm food in our stomachs at meal time kept our clothes clean washed them and hung them out on the line the clothes smelled so good I think that’s why I enjoy your videos it reminds me of a time gone by. You were cooking just now and you used one of your small Griswold pans to put weight on that ham it looked like a chrome Griswold I have one of them

That breakfast..dayum. My memaw to make some sort of stuff on the stove we put on biscuits. It was honey or molasses, peanut butter, and maybe..sometimes pancake syrup. Cooked it down and it made a great biscuit dipper. (Low cal😂) I was actually thinking about your all’s ham preference..when I was a kid all we had was country ham but when I got older I discovered ‘city ham’ or the sweet spiral sliced which I like now. Great video! You working that bass too girl..

It's really something to watch how y'all cook and eat down to smushing the butter up in your honey or syrup. I feel like y'all could be at my breakfast table or any meal for that matter!! My family and yours has so many of the same traditions and lifestyle, except for that wonderful music y'all have!😄😁 I hope these ways of living don't ever die out. God bless wonderful channel!!

Everything is beautiful! You people are living the life! Those pans! I'm fixated with how shiny slick it is! I am determined to get mine like yours. That was a fine job on your mans knife holder. That creek looks so cool and refreshing....I would like to dig a hole in it and crawl in! It is so dog gone hot and humid here in the swamp(fl) Thanks for the glimpse in your lives. Made my night!
