Hey Ms. Brittany, I'm watching your video now. I had the exact same thing when i was 25 years old (I'm 60 now). I was looking as if i was 6 months pregnant and trying to do sit ups, diets and anything to have a smaller stomach. By the time I had the surgery I had gone to like 225 from 150. The tumor started to leak a poison that made me expand. Now, understand I had not been sexual active yet. The doctor told my mom that i needed to have the surgery immediately or it would kill me. Girl, long story short - God is good. I went in had the surgery, the tumor was the size of 2 watermelons attached, had teeth and hair growing on it. The doctors told me they removed 1 fallopian tube and scraped the other one that had fibroids on it. They told me afterwards that i probably wouldn't have children - well, I got married at the age of 30 and had a son at 38 (the doctor that removed the tumors delivered my son). I'm 60 with a 21 year old son who is attending Hampton University and I've been healthy every since. I went in wearing a size 18 and came out a size 4. Again, I skipped a lot but God is soooooooo good. Keep on doing your fabulous work.

Hey Brittany, I have had a fibroids for almost 10 years. I’ve had an open myomectomy, countless infusions, and medications because I had about 75-100 fibroids 😮‍💨. Listen, your body maybe estrogen dominant. Somethings I’ve noticed is me cutting out a lot of dairy and completely cutting out meats did slow down the growth of my fibroids and slowed down my bleeding. Watch how much dairy and meat you eat. All meat products have hormones in them. And if there is estrogen in those products and taking in the extra hormones can possibly help them grown faster. If you get the myomectomy walk up all stairs backwards. That helps to elevate the pull on your incision and you’re not using too much of your core muscles. Also get a small travel pillow to help hold your stomach. Meaning if you cough, sneeze and laugh hard you have the pillow to help with holding your stomach. Good luck, hoping an alternative way helps you versus getting a surgery.

Years ago my doctor found 2 large masses in my abdomen (I was also diagnosed with endometriosis). I scheduled my surgery a ways out because I had engagements and things to do. In the meantime, I watched what I ate, took my vitamins, and had a prayer circle going. By the time my doctor did the surgery, there was one mass (the other disappeared) and we were able to preserve my fertility. Take care of yourself, sis. I will be praying for you 🙏🏽

Brittany you are sharing something very personal. And yes many females have this issue. I had them at 38 had hysterectomy and it was the BEST decision ever made. No more cycle but I didn't want children so it was a blessing. Take care of yourself give the body time to heal.

New subbie here. I am just going through your videos and really enjoying your content. Wanted to share that I went through fibroid journey. Mine ended up being an emergency hysterctomy at 28. Back in 1989 they really werent as assertive with women's care. I complained for a year or so that I felt bloated and full and had extra bloating. I was schedule for a myomectomy but one day while I was doing a traffic stop, the man I arrested told me I was bleeding from my shoes. I looked down and there was blood on my shoes. Another officer took my arrest. I literally passed out. I was flown to the hospital, received a transfusion, and then surgery. They removed 11 fibroids and found my uterine walls were filled with tiny ones. The surgeon said the uterine walls resembled cauliflower. He removed my uterus. So I never had kids. Over time, I learned it was a blessing. I was free to work, take care of my brother, father, and my mom. No more pain, bloat or discomfort. My rationale is there were other women who would have a harder time with less. I waa grateful to have that all put on me to spare another woman. That's how it worked out in my head. I am 65 now and I wouldnt take a thing for mu journey. ❤

I can relate to how you feel about yourself and the fibroids. When I was in my early 30s I kept noticing a bulge in my stomach . In addition to that my period will always be heavy. By the time I got into my early 40s it was like a massacre. When I was 49 I had a hysterectomy. Best decision I ever made. I have two children that I was blessed with before having to get the hysterectomy. Take care of yourself and do your research.

Im currently 2 days post op of having a hysterectomy, pelvic health is very important. My issue was I had a prolapsed uterus.. meaning my uterus was actually bulging out of my vagina. Yes ladies! It can actually hang out of ur body. Pelvic floor exercises are necessary ladies. ❤ i never knew anything like this existed until it happened to me. Knowledge is key which is the reason Im sharing. Thanks Brittany for sharing with us ❤

Hi Brittany! 💜 First let me commend you for sharing your story with us. 👏🏾 This is such a BIG issue in the black and brown community. I had fibroids (surgery was June 2023) which one was 19/20 cm large in size, it was sitting on top of my uterus. Because my fibroid was so big I had to have a vertical cut down my stomach (surgery 4 hours) resulting in me also having staple closing. I was down for 9 weeks. I didn’t qualify for the other surgical operations discussed because of the size. To add, I loss one of my tubes during the surgery which was damaged. I opted out of having a hysterectomy because I have always prayed to become a mom/have children. Years ago, I had two miscarriages one as they say was an ectopic pregnancy. I was told they may come back and I may not be able to have babies, but my faith is bigger than my fear/doubt and I am a believer in gods timing. I’m not giving up on my prayers of becoming a MOM. 👧🏽👦🏽 I pray for you all the best and trust that you will be well. God will not forsake you or fail to bless you with what is meant for you. 🤗

THANKS for sharing. I had a very similar issue, I asked my primary to check for them & she told me no b/c I didn't have symptoms. Luckily my PPO afforded me the option to go without referrals and I had 1 the size of 4 week pregnancy, plus more. *ZERO pain after surgery* Can't wait to hear more about this MAN!

Hey boo!! Thank you so much for being so open and transparent. We women def go through so much so many can relate. I went through this two years ago where I experienced bloating more often then I noticed only one side of my stomach would protrude. I mentioned during my annual exam and they did all the tests. Chiilleeeee when they told me they were referring me to a gyn oncologist I almost passed out😭. I had my left ovary removed because of how large the tumor was and the placement of it but thankfully the tumor was benign. I empathize with you 1000% because it is a lot to deal with and process and have to make a decision not only concerning you but the possibility for future children…..sidebar it’s def in you!! You looked FAB during fashion week!!!! So glad you were able to get away for your bday and relax the resort looked beautiful. Best of luck to you on your journey ❤️

When you said you don’t worry about things you can’t change! I worry about everything! I too had a fibroid and it was the size of a cantaloupe so I had to have surgery. Everything worked out and I haven’t had a problem since the removal. Now I did have change my diet but it’s been well worth it. I glad you took time for yourself and went on a few trips in 2023. Because of your age and that you may want to have children in the future, this procedure maybe the best way to go. My oldest sister ended up having a hysterectomy in her late 30s due to how big her fibroids had gotten. But she did have two children prior to her surgery and then my youngest sister had a myomectomy after her second child due to how bad her menstrual cycle was and she hadn’t had any fibroids in going on seven years. I’ve never had fibroids but I’ve been apart of my sister’s journey.

As I listen to you I remember what happened to me. I have had fibroids. It started when I got pregnant and at a few weeks pregnant I looked 4 months. I terminated that pregnancy. After that it was hell. When I was ready to get pregnant I couldn’t. I was getting ready to start fertility treatments and I got pregnant with twins. They are 31 now. While I was pregnant the fibroids grew so big. I was on bed rest for months. After that was the problem I have had 2 myomectomys the bleeding would not stop. Finally I just got the partial Hysterectomy. I thank that doctor it saved my life. Thank God I have my children. I pray you make the right choices. I know you’re a woman of God. I know he will be with you throughout this process. After all that there is still a fibroids hanging off my cervix.

Wow thank you for sharing! I feel like the fibroids are vicious in coming back once you have a surgery to remove them. My doc wants them out because she said they can cause issues if I do become pregnant and of course I don't want that. I'm thinking of going with the removal surgery to buy time and them going back for the full if they come back which I'm sure they will.

Britney, I understand how you're feeling about what you're experiencing with fibroid, I have been down that road with fibroid and it's not an easy thing to go through but it's treatable. The bloatingness is something else to deal with. Most of the time the fibroid will shrink but they're still there. I pray 🙏 that you will have this fibroid taken care of. I had a myomectomy years ago, but the fibroid did came back. But the myomectomy is a better option, so you can have your babies in the future. I pray 🙏 you have a safe surgery 🙏 ❤.

I had fibroids as well…I held off for years dealing with the mess of heavy bleeding…my doctor scolded me and said enough is enough…I had a total hysterectomy 6 years ago. I went with a total hysterectomy so I would not have the worry of cervical cancer in later years. The surgery was the best thing I have ever done and I regret not doing it sooner!! No more periods but I will say with the total hysterectomy I went directly into menopause. The hot flashes are no joke but even with that the best decision ever!! So happy you are doing well. Feminine health and health overall tends to be anxiety inducing but once issues are attended to……what a weight off your shoulders!!!! 😮‍💨

I'm hearing total hysterectomy is the best options so you no longer have to worry about anything but my doctor is on a real search to find me someone who is comfortable with removing large fibroids so that I don't have to remove everything! It's forcing me to really make a decision about children lol. It's too much!

Wow, I am dealing with fibroids now. I took the least invasive route(medication) and started Birth control. Two months into the birth control(I had side effects from fibroids, concerning my cycle), I discovered that I had a pulmonary embolism. Yes blood clots in my lungs. I now am on blood thinners. Once the blood clots have disappeared I am just going to get the Sonata procedure. I am the same, been healthy my entire life. Now this. I understand your frustration.

Ty for sharing I just find out I had a fibroid during yearly appointment as well its 7 cm just chilling on the left wall of my uterus and I had no symptoms. I always had a fupa lol so I never noticed the heavy bloat besides cycle times. Still scary, and I already have children, so not concerned about having more. But I chose to wait six months to see if it gets bigger then if so I will get the surgery the one that they burn the fibroid and it will eventually shrink. It doesn't hurt me as of now or give me problems but I know it's there again ty for sharing I'd thought I'd share my experience so far ❤
