Pete did several on Just a Few Acres that went over the history, rebuild of his house, and why he farms the way he does. How did your grandpa or even earlier do it, what are some changes you are making. Like the regenerative, will take more time daily, but will hopefully mean less inputs once you get it going. But getting it going, that is what people need to see. Greg Judy spent years by himself, eventually was able to hire interns, and pay for infrastructure like ponds.

He actually did do a video on himself and how he came to be where he is today and explained alot about his grandpa and his schooling in that video. His grandpa bought the ranch in 1957 I belive he said...and as a young boy he spent as much time as he could on the ranch back then it had been a row crop farm but his grandpa turned it into a hog farm. His grandpa also bought him his first 6 cows...and at the time of the video he still had 2 of those cows in the heard...the date tag said 3 years ago so probably one of his early video's if you wanna go searching for it

Hello Tyler!! Four wheelers are sooo valuable right now! We use ours hard with the cattle, checking pastures, fence, etc..Ours broke down so we went to a dealer in the city to get it fixed. They had ONE on the floor! They said each dealer was allotted one until the parts became more readily available!🤷🏼‍♀️ We would be lost without our four wheelers, but would LOVE a side by side!! We think you do an EXCELLENT job explaining what you are doing and why you do it! We love to learn from you! Thank you for sharing! Blessings from your friends from Kansas!

I love when you take something from the farm (4wheeler) and get it working again,I like when people refurbish what you already have on the farm or in the yard or garage,I don’t Like clutter and junk but if you know you can reuse something that’s a whole different thing! Tyler I get impressed by you and the things you can do on the farm! Kevin on Hidden Heights or the Crocker boy’s especially Jason he does explain things most times (i think he was better at explaining thing a yr. ago because he did his own filming now it’s the new girlfriend who does a lot of it) as well as Gary from Walker Farm Fam they can all make things work on the farms or ranches! But you Tyler are definitely the best at explaining everything and I like that!! Glad your retired and full time Rancher and KZreadr it’s great all the new videos and more of them are great 👍

Hey Tyler...I have a decent sized ranch in New South Wales, Australia. I have a small herd of Angus breeders of about 150 head. Those are my mother cows and I sell around 120 calves/weaners per year. I run a cow/calf operation here. May I please make some suggestions to you on how to increase your gross income now that you are a full time farmer. A principle way a rancher can increase their income is by increasing output (calves) and by cutting expenses. Fertilizer is always cheaper than baled hay or silage. I suggest that you might do your numbers on increasing your pasture carrying capacity of cows that will increase your numbers of calves and therefore your calf/weaner sales. An easy way to do that is by increasing the dry matter feed in your pastures. I have never seen you fertilize your paddocks. I spread 5 tonnes of fertilizer in certain paddocks and have increased my carrying capacity by 40%. Have you had your soil tested? You might have to spread lime if needed. I suggest that you get your local agronomist out to do some soil tests so you can make up for any soil deficiencies in order to increase the pasture dry matter yield. I have recently discovered that liquid fertilizer is cheaper that pelleted urea or other pelleted fertilizer. I put it out with a boom sprayer and save nearly 50% of my usual costs. I really hope that you do well on your stopping fulltime employment. I stopped at 60 and wish I did it at your age. My income dropped but so did my expenses. Net happiness increased. Regards, Earl

Absolutely true…when a calf gets bigger it’s a little harder to try and “muscle” the calf to do any work on it. Easier at that point to introduce the calf to the squeeze chute to do any work on it!😂. Would love to see you revive the four wheeler…very beneficial, with fuel prices what they are, to get the four wheeler running to do routine farm chores so that it can help save on your fuel costs on the farm. I’m looking forward to planting soon, but fertilizer and fuel costs are making me a little nervous this year. I had planned on the fertilizer, but didn’t anticipate the current fuel costs in the planning process!🤔😳

Hey there Tyler, I hope this finds you all well and good! What's the rock wall that I could see behind you today? Your talking about not wanting to wrestle your biggest calf is something we've never done. When our calves hit the ground, we check em over good, check and disinfect their naval, put their ear tag in, and castrate the bulls, which only takes a minute, and he doesn't even know anything happened, it's much easier and less stressful on both man and beast, than waiting till their bigger. What did you ever do with your Jubilee? I hope y'all have a good one! 🐃👍🇺🇸.
