Well, I got really disappointed with dell recently. I got a new Dell latitude for work and it just sucks. So many issues with it (constant crashes, blue screen of death, horrible Skype performance (microphone/sound bugs) and the Dell support just doesn't give me a new one. They have to change out all the different parts which is just annoying.... I wouldn't buy myself a dell for me anymore. At home I'm running a 2012 Macbook Pro 15" and this thing rocks. It's the best laptop I can think of, if I could upgrade the internals. Great keyboard, (Love the travel and feel from the old Macbooks, the new keyboard is horrible), good performance for Photoshop & casual games, it has an HDMI connection, MagSave2 power supply, SD Card slot...What I would change: Heat. That thing gets hot, change the fans, maybe the processor to something that doesn't get as hot. After a long time in usage, the battery is-....well there but effectively it's 4 hours max, so if possible I'd just change it. Of cause if Apple would make an Retro Macbook Pro Retina 2012 that would be my laptop to buy. Just upgraded internals, same externals. I'd be happy with that. (Yes, it's not a gaming machine, you guys know that. For gaming I'm planning to build a Ryzen 7 & RTX 2070s or 2080 (regular, let's see if I get a discount there). So I'm set with that.

Peto Pedro the only thing in there that was a proper defense is basically “well mine didn’t so he must be lying” and everything else is just filler. Just because yours didn’t die quickly doesn’t mean that his can’t. Also it didn’t die, it stopped charging, which isn’t hard to believe. I’ve had some electronics do the same in months.

@@SanderEvers Razer mice are notorious for breaking. Most of my friends have had a Razer mouse die in a year or so. Different problems, scroll wheel, double click, sensor etc. I recall at least 5 instances of them breaking too fast. I think a quality mouse should last at least 3 years of heavy usage. From my experience Logitech and Zowie have been the most durable. G9X was a legendary product for me.

I once bought a razer kraken headset, Died after a month. So i bought an Asus strix 7.1 headset (most expensive thing i could find at the time) Arrived dead. Got a replacement. Arrived dead. Amazon had to pull off the whole line of asus strix headsets. So i now use my Gamecom 780s from like 2012. Cost me £30 and have never failed me once.

Though on the other hand the only Razer mouse I've owned was because it was dead and a friend was gonna toss it. Basically just had to solder in a new USB cable and then I had a nice Copperhead (some fancy dumb edition or other).

My only Razor products I own are my Razor TRON: Legacy keyboard and mouse (couldn’t afford the mouse with mousepad combo pack) and while they aren’t the super greatest compared to today’s competitive gaming peripherals, they are both extremely nice in quality and function extremely well. The keyboard has a cool boot and shutdown effects and sounds, the mouse is ambidextrous yet comfortable, both have great programmability with their software, and both are still working great after many years of use. Sure, no customizing colors or color effects, and while it would have been nice for them to have at least had the capability to turn them to red, orange, green, white, as well as the default blue (these are colors used for program characters featured in the film and spin off media), the blue is the color most associated with TRON: Legacy. If I knew of Razor ONLY thru these products, I would think Razor only made top quality products, luckily for me, these are an exception to the norm. While it’s gimmicky, I do want the mousepad now.. anyone got one they want to sell??

Razer just isn't a good laptop to buy in my opinion. I had the 2015 Stealth, it was fine until the warranty ran out. After that nothing but issues have plagued it. The repair options from Razer are basically, buy a new machine. :L

something similar happened to. my 6 year old dell was struggling to keep 2 tabs open in mozilla. and i decided to buy a new laptop, but after ordering i installed ubuntu on the old one while waiting for the new one. and now the old one runs like a beast, 5-6 tabs open, youtube music, terminal activity , other document viewing/latex apps all running at the same time, old one is : i5 4200U, 4gb ddr4 ram, amd graphics. imagine that. and now i'm in love with ricing.

0:33 had this problem before, was something wrong with the charger instead with the beep noise. Found out the wires were broken or sth but laptop was fine . Bought a new charger and done.

There are usb c flash drives and yubikeys, it's been really nice moving 99% of my peripherals to type c -- the only things that aren't, I plug into my dock and use at my desk

i just got a thinkpad x1 carbon, and I think that should have at least been included in this, its hands down the best keyboard you can get on an ultrabook, and has all sorts of nice to haves and business features

My biggest issue with this video is that you can see linus be pleasantly surprised by the DELL XPS and then once it's revealed he still goes for the razer. So much for the point of the video I guess.

Every razer product breaks after 2 years, it's really not hard to tell they manufacture them to be that way. The only product I've had longer than 2 years is my Kraken headset. 3 years and counting, the cable is getting rugged but that's about it. All of my peripherals are razer btw

so what i have learned is that every time you want to buy a rig wallet just go back through his last around 4 videos and you can find a promo code somewhere in there

Yeah the X1 Carbon is a joke in this lineup for what he wants. Go and build one yourself on their website with similar specs, it STARTS at nearly 2200 USD and that's with integrated graphics and a worse battery. So you spend more and get effectively less, not wise at all for an investment lmao.

browbass17 same. My oldest is a working HiGrade 330. Then Dell D510. Acer Aspire 8930. HP DV7. HP G6. Then my current HP Omen 17. It should be noted I look after my machine and get over kill so they last for a very long time. I miss my DV7 still!

My ancient laptop died and I replaced it with an Nvidia Shield K1. Haven't had a laptop since, only desktop and shield. The shield is quite alright for travel, though I occasionally miss having a real laptop.

I bought one of the Window 10 RCA Tablets for $80, cut a hold in the back, glued on a heatsink, and it is my back up for when my 2005 Pentium D 840 3.2ghz dual-core, 3gb 533mhz ddr2, GT640 2gb vram desktop randomly decides it doesn't want to work.

It's always confused me when people talk about their laptop "dying" or being "dead", especially when said laptops are only four years old. I've always used Thinkpads (not a gamer) and the T420 I'm using just now is 12-13 years old and is still running like the day it came out the factory, hasn't even had so much as the cpu fan replaced. In fact the CPU hasn't even ever been repasted! No defects whatsoever on a nearly 13 year old machine! I run it with an SSD and Linux and it's way more than quick enough for web browsing, office work, KZread (will stream 1080P just fine despite not having 1080p screen) and some light photography. It's got a Core i5 2.5 and 8gb of ram, 1tb SSD...what more do I need! The internal components are completely shielded by a titanium roll cage making it reasonably drop proof, the things built like a tank and it's even designed to deal with water spillage on keyboard! It has the best laptop keyboard that was ever made, the typing feel is bliss. Even the battery life is still half decent after 12 or 13 years. You know what makes all that even better? I bought this T420 off Ebay for $120!! But do you know what's even better than THAT? I could sell it today for the exact same price I paid for it, or slightly more!! zero depreciation.

It might not be a charge port, I had a netbook die, due to the charging circuitry sparking, then giving up.

My blade 15 advanced (2018) stopped charging too & I bought a multimeter & tools, confirmed it was battery & not charger, & was able to order an OEM razer battery on amazon for $100. So repaired for ~$135
