I think a lot of the engineers aren't allowed to go too much into detail if they're working on current or future tech of the car You don't want stuff being leaked to other teams

Awesome to see that team is providing a stepping stone for the new passionate lads to become a part of formula one or the Motorsports in general. I Would been thrilled to have an opportunity like this in my younger days. But not now as i am entering into my 40's. Organizing and officiating in local racing events is good for me today.

It's absolutely believable that it takes this many people to build the best family in F1.

woah this is incredible! im a student at the national college for motorsport at silverstone circuit, but i never knew f1 could be available straight away!!! fantastic job abbie, i hope everything goes well for you in your career.

I check vacancies regularly too. I don’t know what role I would ever take, but I guess I’ll know it if/when I see it. Mercedes AMG F1 as an organisation is nothing short of beautiful.

I love how vital every little bit roles is VERY important

Saw this when it came out, but I'm just realizing I got to see Abbie and the heritage team at the launch event for the Las Vegas GP. She seemed so happy being able to interact with the fans and answer their questions. That trip must have been an amazing one during the apprenticeship.

Wow 😮 you’ve got an amazing job.

Its great seeing more girls in F1 but not only that a new generation of Engineers ect overall. Just a side note F1 tyres are made out to be heavier than they actually are or Abbie as some big guns on her 💪💪 because those tyres looks huge against Abbie. All the best for Abbie at Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

Well I'm a 17 college student in the UK and I'm studying engineering Its time to look at apprenticeships since its my second year at college. I unbelievably love F1 cars and its engineering features since a little boy (literally) So hey Mercedes how can I apply for an apprenticeship 🔥

I'd love to do this however can't afford to go to uni

i would like an apprenticeship at a team but i imagine it's quite hard to get into one as i imagine lots of people apply, i already have a Level 3 in Motorsports Engineering, if teams offered level4/5 or degree apprenticeships i'd apply in a heartbeat. I guess emailing teams wouldn't be so hard.

How do you get a job in f1 though

I'm curious. You are training to be a vehicle technician. Does an apprenticeship in this area require a previous background in mechanics or something similar? Does someone who wants to apprentice in the engineering, aerodynamics or things similar to that need a background and/or previous experience in engineering?

For an apprenticeship, obviously it's all about learning, so we imagine it's the same for most places, in that a background in mechanics isn't crucial or required, the most important elements are that it's an area you are passionate about, determined to focus on and keen to learn about and develop your skills in.

How old do you have to be to apply for an apprenticeship at Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team. I am 16 years old and wish that instead of sitting in a classroom I could be doing hands on work like the young lady in this video. I really hope that someone views this comment and is able to relay vital information that can help me get my foot through the door as an apprentice in the Formula One industry.
