@@alwynsam5349 Absolutely yes. However for panipuri… Sweet, sour and salt is as imp as the Pani… to balance the taste. I wont dare to make it home as i could never do it the way i can eat on the street. BTW have spent many years craving for real indian food in Maastritch.

In different states/regions the name is different like in Bengal, we call it Fuchka. And for Fuchka the main ingredient is the smashed potato and the water...we don't put neither like putting onion or snacks. And it is one of my favorites..no matter in what name you call it, be it Fuchka, Panipuri or Golgappa.

@@aana1800 In Patna, I was introduced to poochka in my childhood. Then I saw TV serials saying golgappa. Then I went to Delhi, there they say panipuri. A humble request, do not invent more names. My small brain hurts. Thanks

Interesting that pani puri is considered the most popular street food in India. I grew up in South India and never heard of it or saw it on streets or had it until after I moved to the US. And I only had it once in the US in over 20 years of living here. I just love my beloved South Indian snacks and find ways to have them.
