My favorite Alphinaud line is from Shadowbringers where Alphinaud says "Belittle us all you like, but we will rise again and again, and give the lie to your insults through word and deed."

To think i hated Alphinaud so much in ARR, and now he's grown to be one of my favorite characters.

My fav was when he roasted Vauthry to his face in front of all his subjects: "What you need is a mirror, not a painting. It will capture the horror I see before me far better than I ever could."
With Colin starting the game, I wonder what his reaction will be to some of the unvoiced lines. There's some BANGER dialogue that the voice actors would never know about... I'd particularly like to see Bethan's take on the "Good and bad, they are mine. They are me" speech

Colin was committed to voicing ALL the lines in his steam yesterday (it was amazing XD), so I have to imagine he'll voice Alphinaud's text dialogue as he goes and we'll get to see his reaction to it all.

I love how your video gives a lot more insight on how Beth and Colin approach voice acting for XIV. I really wish SE would give the English VAs more spotlight on-stage during events like Fanfest. The JP VAs get a lot of spotlight from them and the fans appreciate them a lot. Hope the English and the rest of the other VAs get the same treatment too.

For real tho! Like with London fan fest, I’m pretty sure their English studio (Side UK) is based in London, so it would’ve been such a perfect opportunity to have had a VA panel then. Some actors were even invited to attend fanfest too what with all the pictures that people took them! I hope this changes going forward at future events.

The japanese voice actor for Lahabrea in ARR and HW of course, is famous and has been for decades lol. Nobody forgets the Red Comet.
Very kind of Marco to draw arrows on the thumbnail so Estinien can tell which twin is which

ESTINIEEEEEEEEEEN! He's the Azure Dragoon. sorry, I just had to
I love how each of them talks in a similar cadence and at a similar speed to their characters.
COLIN IS PRECIOUS. Watched his first stream for 14 and he’s super entertaining and his fellow Scion VAs joined to support the stream! Honestly beautiful. 😭 I just love them all so much.
I had this video running on background while doing other things and i only saw Alphi and Alisaie in my head every time Colin and Beth spoke :D

Same haha. I close my eyes or tab out and I picture its Alphinaud and Alisaie doing a behind the scenes like dvd commentary feature on their acting gig for a movie of their adventure!
That was an excellent interview Marco, well done.

I love the twins!❤ Without Colin or Beth it just wouldn't be the same. Thank you for this interview! I hope we get interviews from the other VA's too someday, not necessarily from you but in general. I don't think we appreciate our VA's as much as Japan does, it's a shame!
loved loved loved this!
I love it! Thank you for this! 💙❤️
Big time content!!! love to see you're continued rowth!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. this was quite interesting.
I'm so happy we're getting these long-form interviews from voice actors, I wish I could hear thoughts from Joe dempsey(Ardbert), Rene Zagger(Emet), or Matt Stokoe(Elidibus).

@@amon4533 Agreed. My favourite VA performance possibly in the entire game was Elidibus' speech in the cutscene right after the Seat of Sacrifice. Delicate, soft and in complete despair, and that was just me.
Holy Moly they are both so well and eloquently spoken and honest. What a lovely interview. You should post their socials too for people to look at!
Great Interview love these two! Excited for Dawntrail I bet there's some surprises in the story for us 🔥
Can't wait to see Colin starting the game. And they are both so nice! And good to see/hear how much they like their character and the game. And it was a very nice interview.
This was a delightful interview to watch! I actually teared up listening to Bethany and Colin sharing their experiences and journey voicing the twins. Amazing work everyone! Thank you for putting this together.
I really enjoyed this interview, Marco. I main an Elezen in the game and have jokingly told friends in my FC that my character has "adopted" the two twins. I appreciate both of their work immensely in the game and wanted to pass along my thanks to them.
This was so good!! I loved hearing their thoughts and how passionate they are about the process. Hopefully Marco can get an interview with Robert Vernon! Partially because Estinien is one of my favorites, but besides the twins, it would be incredibly interesting to hear his thoughts on the game and his journey with video games and voicing a now beloved character. Same with the other VA's!
Look thank you for going into the harder stuff in the middle and keeping control. Holy hell, I don't know how you did. Thank you for the very deep questions, good editing and great guests.

"Heh... Reminds me of my childhood." Alisaie: *Slowly Turns Head at Alphinaud* Probably my favorite part of any interaction over the entire game to this day xD
Excellent Interview
this was such a cool interview!! always love the twins
Awesome interview and great video. Loved them talking about appreciating more and more how much its helped people, I started FFXIV not long into my recovery after a stroke, pretty much felt dead inside and both the story and music of 14 made me feel so many range of emotions that I will forever be thankful to anyone who played their part in making and continuing to make the masterpiece it is. Alphi and Alisaie would not be the characters they are today without the excellent delivery and personality that both Beth and Colin bring, didn't get the chance to meet them in London at Fanfest but hopefully next time!
What a wonderful and insightful video.
It's been quite a while since I finished Endwalker. I'm so fucking hyped to come back again.
Love this interview! So fun to hear the VA’s perspective!
I have to say. Over the years I have been playing this game (from 2020 onwards) I have really seen how the twins in the story has progressed. Like granted Alisae isn't around in ARR that much aside from the part she spoke of with the raid series. At first I didn't even think they would become some my favorite characters from the game. I could tell from Alisae especially that she had more confidence later on down the line with the way Beth made her sound. It was so fun watching this interview of them and so can't wait for the expansion ahead.
Appreciate the acting asks on Shakespeare and method
Love these two, what an impact they have had on millions of players.
Kudos to the both of them. I really love the twins.
It's the voice that just brings warmth to my heart. Love ff14
Amazing talk! I even learned some things about voice acting that I didn't knew.
Colin looks like Alphie 😄 and he plays in the same server I do. I appreciate anything which helps people understand the work of voice actors. I'm amazed, not in a good way, when people who can't read a single line out loud without stumbling deride their work.
“I HAVE YOU!!” Always stuck in my head.
Beth and Colin I love you both ❤
YO they even SOUND THE SAME LMAO I CAN HEAR ALPHI AND ALI IN THERE LMAO

Aaaahhhh you hear the Brummie in him now. Love Colin 😂😂
I feel like this is the closest thing we'll get to ever hearing the twins older than sixteen 😂 That said, it really is the first thought that came to me. Their normal talking voice is what I'd imagine older twins would sound like
hearing colin and beth speak in their natural voices, their characters arent too far off, its just a higher pitch for the twins
Alisaie is just her natural voice, and Alphinaud is him having to raise his pitch slightly. I always find it amusing when a characters voice is close to their natural one.

Often times the best characters are voiced by people who barely have to change their normal voices for them. Perhaps that lends the air of authenticity and realism of the characters that makes them so loved.
Could you do a video reacting to the loop hero ost. Its my favorite ost and i would love seeing you react to it
Professional liar? That's called a politician, not the creative position of being a voice actor. A voice actor is an artist that creates something that didn't use to exist, not a liar saying that the world their interacting in is real.
Cute chat!

This is a love/hate thing, It's great to see the actors behind the curtain but I'll never look at the char's the same way again.

I never played Assassins's Creed, but the Warrior of Light's face gives me Bradley Cooper vibes, I mean that in a positive way.
Erhm, did nobody tell Beth that Alisaie was a cardboard cutout that did *NOTHING* until coils, heh?
While I do prefer the japanese VA, I think most of the english cast did a good job as well. Bethan Walker is a great VA, but slightly miscast as Alisaie in my opinion. Colin Ryan was a spot on counterpart for Shinnosuke Tachibana, however. Very interesting interview!
I cannot help but think this is what a grown up twins would sound like should enough time pass in the game narrative.
Seeing the faces of the voice s of the Levvieur twins(sorry can't spell their last name for sh**) shows that life does not reflect fantasy. If you told me that the voices of those two gorgeous white-haired Elezen young adults were two middle-aged people with giant noses, I'd have laughed. I did know they were British. Alph and Alisaie's voices had a heavy Brit accent to them.
