Thanks for sharing. I got my first implant in 2017 after I got my daughter in 2016. Then last year August I got my second one, I'll remove it in 2023. If I'm married I won't get a 3rd one but if I'm not I'll definitely get a 3rd one. After I got my first one I had my periods for 2 weeks then they stopped. From 2018 since last year I had irregular periods. The weigh gain is not that bad. Since I got my second implant I haven't been on my periods.

I had mine the day I had my baby now he is 2 will take it out next year... Thank you for sharing your experience

I will be removing my second implant in March 2021. I never experience any hectic symptoms. I still have my periods every month but for the first few months of inserting it my period lasted for two weeks.

I have one on my left hand but the dizziness and headaches just too much its almost unbearable and i would spend months not having my periods but when i do i could be on my periods for weeks 😣 and i have gained a lot of weight however i will not stop using it ,i prefer it more than any other contraceptives and im not ready to have another child, i am taking it out next year and will insert another one, implant gives me a peace of mind 😂

And please make a video of how you take it out tomorrow and tell us the experience..

Thanks for sharing your experience. I removed mine last year July then only got my first periods in October... haven't had my periods since then and It's the 3rd month now. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests which both came out negative. But still DOLOLO PERIODS😢

I also got mine in 2018 in Vaal at campus though . And it has been okay for me , side effects it’s feeling weak & dizzy rarely .

I had the implant and had my normal period for the whole 3 years, but my skin broke out and had hair loss, mood swings .... I couldn't wait to take it out.

It's all dependent on your hormones. Others have little or no side effect at all. It's good cos you have it and you covered for 3 years, but you must be willing to handle the side effects if you get any. My hair line was thinning so bad, and my face would break out bad, but since I took it out, I has to cut my hair and start afresh and I'm glad to say its come back slowly n my skin is also slowly clearing now. So it really depends on your body if it accepts it or not. And you wont know until you try it yourself. I would recommend it, for the convenience and assurance that you are safe from pregnancy for 3 years.

I took mine out in October 2020 (it was due to be removed in March 2021). I started experiencing what the nurse calls “breakthrough bleeding” where I would spot/ or be on my periods for a whole month 😣. I couldn’t take it anymore as my vag was getting irritated from wearing pads for a whole month.

Funny enough I actually miss it coz it was really convenient. I am on the pill now and honestly don’t trust the pill. I want to go back to the implant in hopes that it will not mess things up again 😂

I have the implant on my left arm for over year now. I get headaches everyday, the fatigue is a nightmare and my periods would last for so long. I'll be removing it soon. Definitely not for me.

Same😭my periods are crazzy, heavy flow sometimes last for 3 months ayi, it helps with the not getting pregnant part but it doesn't go with my body I'm so glad it's expiring ngo June 💔

Had a bad experience 😩 I gained a lot of weight, did not have my periods for 2 and half years. My cycle got really bad after removing it. Can go 2-3 months without being on my periods. Period pains tsone 😩they got worse

I think it's best to remove it a little earlier than when you want to start trying to have a baby, that way your body adjust to any changes that may have occurred.

I want to try it but I'm scared of it because I was using the 2months injection called nuristerate yoh the side effects 😭😭🤧 I bled none stop for the whole month then I went to clinic to get the contraceptive pills to stop my periods then they eventually stopped for a few days but I started getting lighter periods 😭😭😭 I also had mood swings and headaches yoh ebe ke tlogela nna 🤦‍♀️ I guess we are different and our bodies ain't the same....
